Had to wait a bit for piercer to arrive. But gave me exactly what I wanted. I got my conch piercing almost 2 years ago and never had an issue. Now got two helix piercings super cute. Makes it as painless as possible! Will be going back for more thank you! Thanks david!

After having my dermal piercing on the top of my wrist for almost 6 years, I needed to get it removed. I went in after calling the night before and met with David. He was extremely professional and friendly– which helped me get through it because I was really nervous. He told me exactly what he was going to do before he did it, which reassured the process. With David’s knowledge and skill, it was fast and I experienced very little pain. He cleaned up my wrist really well and gave me a clear and concise healing plan. I highly recommend this place to anyone getting any type of piercing work done– professional and very polite staff.

Josh does amazing work… whether you want an unique tattoo designed especially for you or you find an idea you want him to add his own personal touch to. he is the best. I have several pieces of art from him and wouldnt go to anyone else. I highly recommend him..

So this is an addition onto my review. I have been pierced here by Potts, he’s awesome. But this part of my review is for Alex, for only tattooing for a year he does amazing work. He makes sure you’re comfortable, keeps the jokes going, and produces great work. I’ve had two tattoos done at contrast, and working up to many more. Bottom line if you’re looking for a good tattoo or piercing contrast is the way to go!

I have been to this shop three times now since I stumbled across it not too long ago. Once for my first tattoo, which was done by Gerard, and it came out so unbelievably clean. It’s hard to find a tattoo artist that doesn’t screw up on words, and he did a great job and it was hardly even painful so he was definitely not rough on his touch. The second time I went in was for my piercing, which David did, and it came out exactly how I wanted. He took his time and everything was very clean and sanitary! The THIRD time, was for my second tattoo. Also for words, and of course I went back to Gerard since he did such a great job the first time. The shop ambience overall was great, and Chris, the shop owner, doesn’t act pompous or have an ego that could fill the room like most shop owners do. He was actually a very sweet guy. Alex, one of the tattoo artists, is quiet but makes you feel comfortable, and when he does partake in conversation makes the experience enjoyable by making you laugh. Cyclone, another artist, was sarcastic (super awesome) and does beautiful work as well when it comes to script. Overall this particular group of guys made me feel like I was in a relaxed mellow environment, and not in a shop where all I am is another dollar sign. And the work by all of them, well, it speaks for itself. Stop by and you will not be disappointed. It’s definitely my go to place, I only wish I could have a million more tattoos so I could be in there all the time!

I ONLY come here now for my tattoo art. I drive all the way from LA every time and it’s so worth it! The shop is extremely clean and sanitary and the vibe/​staff is so chill it will make anyone feel very comfortable. It’s very refreshing to go to a studio that doesn’t reek of drugs and griminess. This place is very professional, women especially can feel very confident you will get your work done here with complete respect and professionalism. ARTISTS: Chris Almeida is the most talented artist i have ever come across. I get about 100 compliments a day on my half sleeve by chris. He is the BEST PORTRAIT ARTIST!!! He’s light handed, and his shading and realism work is out of this world. He is also very reasonably priced and extremely easy to work with. He’s also a great person and his entire staff are great. Alex is awesome too, and the piercer is the most knowledgable I’ve seen. Someone pierced my nose with the wrong type of nose screw and it got infected, the piercer here fixed it for me and gave me great tips and they worked. I recommend this place to everyone for everything now. I’m just waiting for Chris to open a second shop here in LA!!! Everyone wants him here!!! Thank you Contrast Tattoos for being the BEST! keep it up! you KNOW i’ll be back for more soon :)

I highly recommend this place, for both piercing and tattoos. David Potts has been doing my piercings for years, and I have always had a great experience! One time I went with a friend to get a piercing while I was out of town, not only was it overpriced but I had to come have potts fix it and put the right jewelry in as soon as I got back in town!.. I wont go anywhere else now!

So, I went in here today to get my money back for a piercing i didn’t want to get and Potts the piercer said I couldn’t get my money back but he could give me jewelry instead. It doesn’t say anywhere on the receipt that they don’t return money after a deposit is given. So he gave me two belly rings, don’t know how it equals to $ 45 dollars those must be some expensive jewelry, what a scam!!! I will never go back here or recommend this place to anyone.

Great place. Really nice and professional. Alex was patient with us to get the design just right. Turned out perfect. Hard to find but right beside bike shop-​check em out!

Chris is an amazing and dedicated artist; he put in the hours to make my tattoo look absolutely spectacular! If you’re going to get inked in the desert, do it here!

New shop, but not new artists. Go see Gary! He’s an excellent artist. You will not be disappointed.
