We were at Mareno’s for a family member’s birthday. She just lost her husband and all she wanted was prime rib, and chose Manero’s. We waited for 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Once we were seated, our order was taken and drinks, salads, and appetizers were all brought out. Once we were already into the food, we were told by our server that they were out of prime rib. Please note that prime rib was also on special so to heavily market something in short supply seems like an odd business choice. We asked for some time to discuss. She checked on us, we asked for more time, and then eventually just told her we were very disappointed and confused. At this point a manager finally came by and all she said was«Sorry about the prime rib! We had a large party that just wiped us out!» No other explanation and no attempt made to provide any type of customer service. Again, we were confused. If it was running so low that one party risked wiping out the whole supply, why was it on special and why was your server not aware? A simple«we are running low, let me go check» once the prime rib was ordered would have went a long way. Or even telling us it was out before bringing us other food, as we would have happily paid for our drinks and found another prime rib establishment — the(recently widowed) birthday girl just wanted some prime rib! At this point I went to the hostess and asked for another manager. I’d like to note that there was a nicely dressed gentleman standing at the podium speaking to everyone that went by — I asked if he was the owner and he responded«just a regular.» I later saw him walk into the restricted kitchen area and he was again at the hostess stand when we left so I assume that he flat out lied to a guest at his restaurant. I don’t think regulars go in and out of the kitchen and speak to every guest as they come and go without ever sitting at a table and having a meal. This second manager I had to seek out myself apologized, gave a more detailed explanation(it was apparently a large banquet room rented out by a party of 30), offered to comp the meals of those that originally ordered prime rib, and provided a gift card for a future visit. I will say they gave us a $ 100 gift card which was extremely unexpected and generous. The food was also very good(I had a gorgonzola salad, crab bisque, and sea bass). However, the fact is, this was the 4th person we had to speak to for anything to be offered at all(1.our server, 2. the first manager, 3. the«I’m not the owner» who then runs into the kitchen, and finally 4. this manager). And while it was never about the money(we would not be eating out if we couldn’t afford our meals), the situation was handled incredibly poorly up to this point. I apologize I do not have his name to properly give him credit. He is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. Had we been seated at the time of our reservation, our order would have gone in before the other party. Your staff should be aware of items that are running low especially if they are items you are known for and are also being heavily marketed. The staff should also inform customers an item is out before serving other food. When your guests are clearly disappointed, the server should not be the one to handle the situation — you don’t pay the poor girl for that. A manager should have come over much sooner and said something more than just«sorry, another party just ate up all the prime rib!» That is not how you retain business.

We decided to give Manero’s another try after many years of staying far away. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we felt as if we were visiting a nursing home(with all due respect to the elderly). The décor and lighting were cafeteria like, and the food was terrible at best. They ran out of the one thing we came for, prime rib. My husband and I ordered the so-called crispy duck, and we should have sent it back. It looked and tasted like very bad oven-baked chicken. There was a reason we never returned to Manero’s after all these years, and we rediscovered it last night. Don’t waste your time and money, and don’t fall for the glowing review in our local newspaper like we did. Stay away.

I went there recently and was disappointed with the restaurant. When I dine out with my family its always a special occasion so as not to have to cook myself. This place had NO atmosphere and the décor was from the 1980s, mediocre food, and was expensive for what we got. Food was OK, not great. My cooking at home is as good(and a lot less expensive). If you want to eat just to eat, its fine but certainly not a special occasion to eat here. They had another place in West Palm years ago which was terrific but this place paled in comparison.

This is a restaurant with a heart. The owner Jay takes personal interest in seeing that all of his patrons are satisfied. Following the recent loss of my father, Jay was more than accommodating in setting up a private dinner in an adjoining room for our family. Jay provided us with a custom buffet of Chicken Marsala, Beef Stroganoff, grilled vegies, macaroni and cheese along with Manero’s famous gorganzola salad. The service was first glass and the food was excellent with probably the best Chicken Marsala I’ve had. We have been satisfied diners at Manero’s for years but not as frequently as we should. This is a great place with great food and an owner who is compassionate and caring about his customers and community.

We came in for the Early Bird Special’s and our meal was delicious! Our waitress Bobbi was fantastic, such a sweet lady! I had the Prime Rib which never disappoints! My husband had the chicken parmesan and our son had the pasta. We loved all our meals and will definitely be back!!!

Stopped in to have a sandwich and salad at the bar. Stephanie the bartender was very pleasant and on top of everything. The salad was the Gorgonzola salad that i remembered from Greenwich Ct Manero’s years back and the Steak tidbit sandwich was made perfectly. I will definitely be back there again for very good food and Great service.

Went here for a family outing, and was less than impressed. It was a Monday night, and we were one of three tables at 6pm, so maybe the kitchen was off with so little patrons. The waitress came over as soon as we were sitting, but didn’t explain the menus or specials. She then left for 15 minutes before we could flag her down with our order. Once she brought our food, we didn’t see her again until it was time for the check. At least the assistant kept our water glasses full, and the manager stopped by to say hello. Their famous Gorgonzola salads were really lovely, but that was the highlight of the food. The scallops I ordered(at $ 25, the second most expensive dish) were cooked well but sandy & not cleaned. The dish also came with just 5 scallops, and they sat on dry linguini– no sauce, no seasoning, just dry pasta. My sisters chicken dish was the same– just dry, no sauce even though it was advertised on the menu as coming with a lemon butter sauce. My grandfathers burger did look good, however, and he seemed satisfied with it. My grandmothers salad, though, came out 5 minutes after the rest of the meals(and it was just a plain salad) and was bland. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend coming here for dinner. Maybe they’re better on busier nights, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Oh how I loved their West Palm Beach location. Went there for lunch quite a bit. There was always the local professionals there for lunch. I have also dined at the Palm City location. Totally different atmosphere. I don’t think I have ever seen a patron there under 65. Not that that’s a bad thing. Food is usually pretty good. But service is a little slow.

Our dinners were delicious, but I was disappointed with their outdated dining room. I was expecting a fancy restaurant for their prices. Instead, we were greeted by a hostess dressed in a baggy white t-shirt and pants. The restaurant looked like it was frozen in time from the 80s. There was a party of elderly couples, and two others tables of elderly people as well. That was it. It was 7:30pm on a Friday night. My family and I were a bit nervous since it was so slow. I’m thinking we got all dressed up for this? Overall our food was great, our server Chris was very attentive, but I will never go back unless they get a serious facelift. I’m not going to spend $ 25 a plate in a dingy, old, and boring restaurant. Maybe that’s why they’re slow?

Good food. Served on a timely manner by the rudest older lady ever. Stood staring us down from across the room as if she needed us to leave. Took husband’s freshly buttered roll and green beans away as he was eating them! Gave us only one dessert menu for the five of us to share. She did not like the $ 10.00 off coupon we were given at the World English. To top it off a loud elderly group at the next table yelled good they’re leaving so now we can talk! Unbelievable!!! Shooters don’t go here, it’s not worth it!

My fiancé(I’ll just call him D) ate her last week with a buddy and they both raved about how delicious it was. I’m a big French onion soup gal and the pic he sent me had my mouth watering for a bite thus I ordered the soup last night. Wow, was I disappointed. The cheese looked barely cooked and the broth was bland. I Wasn’t too mad because French onion soup is one I’m usually disappointed with at most places(except mama’s fish house in Maui) so I munched on some rolls and waited for D’s buddy to join us for dinner. It was Monday and they had their 5 dollar burger so D opted to get the burger. The server stated that burgers come as is no special requests blah blah blah he was fine with that and was excited for his brisket burger with bbq sauce and onion garlic mayo. I ordered the French dip that the boys raved about the previous week. I didn’t want my fries and asked the server if D’s burger came with fries and he said yes so I asked if I could get a salad? He recommended the famous Gorgonzola salad. I was slightly apprehensive about it but he insisted he’d make it perfect for me. D’s buddy decided to jump on the Brittany bandwagon and get the same thing as me. So the salad came out and I was pleasantly surprised that I loved it! A little while later the entrees arrived and looked disappointing. D’s burger came without fries so just a burger. Lacked the toppings as specified so it was dry and just meh! Not even ketchup, extra bbq sauce or mayo… Zilch! The French dips came on a croissant that looked like they were stored under some boxes. It was not a crispy thick croissant as they described before. Furthermore, the meat wasn’t anything spectacular either. No flavor whatsoever. D insisted that it was probably a different chef that night however, I think it was all the booze they drank the first time him and his buddy went there! Haha I’ll give it another go just for good measure.

Just had their gorgonzola salad. Not sure why famous, its just a rrgular salad with the overwhelming taste of gorgonzola. Im not even sure it has a dressing. I asked for extra drrssing to seee if it tasted better w more ‘dressing’ but waitress never came back. Place did not impress me. Since not too many ootions in area i may give it another try but no salad.

The prime rib here is out of this world. Tender and juicy, served in the au jus. The taste is great, perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth tender. And plenty of sizes are available. I would also recommend them for thanksgiving dinner. Each year they change up the options a bit but it’s a great place for a great price. We love it here and drive over and hour to have it.

Had lunch here for the 1st time. Pros: I like the fact it’s locally owned. Food was outstanding, had the famous«gorgonzola cheese salad,» eggplant sandwich and sweet potato fries. About the salad, I don’t like gorgonzola cheese but it was so mild, couldn’t even taste the“bite“of it. Also, the lettuce consists of romaine and iceberg, I don’t care for iceberg. But the salad really was delicious. Service was great too. Cons: I was alittle apprehensive eating here. From the outside, it reminds me of a banquet hall. And the interior is more like an old school vfw banquet hall and smells just as comparable, i.e. a peculiar aroma of cigar/cigarette/bar odor. Please Do something about the interior. It’s in serious need of a renovation. I’ll most likely return, this time for dinner.

My husband and I tried Manero’s for the first time tonight, and it was well beyond our expectations. We ordered a glass of red wine(their wine list is excellent, full of familiar labels, with a variety of choices) and a vodka on ice. The red wine was a VERY generous pour for a very reasonable price, as was my husband’s vodka, which was brought with an extra snifte-full, which was put on ice. The gorgonzola salad was fresh, crisp, and dressing light, but very tasty. Our prime rib and petite filet were tender, cooked perfectly to order, and flavorful. In short, we got wonderful, simple food for a very good price in an attractive environment. We will be back!

Its open for lunch and dinner and has a very good menu and full bar. Reservations are welcome especially on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. Parking can sometimes get pretty full and the crowd for happy hour and early dinner specials might astonish you. The drinks come with a dividend on ice and their signature Prime Beef is ALWAYS the best. I prefer sitting in the dining room but sometimes a booth in the bar is faster. Its very handicapped accessible and the waiters and waitresses are efficient and very friendly. There are always groups and parties of 12 or more being seated and it is a favorite among the senior crowd However, they recently stopped carrying Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer so we have stopped going there. The rest of the appetizers are just too much and could almost be a meal in themselves. Otherwise, great service and good food at a reasonable price.

I ordered takeout, steak Gorgonzola salad. The steak was grilled to perfection and very tender. I’m not normally a «sopper» but after finishing the Gorgonzola steak salad I just couldn’t let go of the dressing and the Gorgonzola that were still on my plate. I «sopped» up every bit of Gorgonzola and dressing with the rolls that came with. It was heavenly! The very nice girl at the front even gave me a complementary piece of key lime pie in my takeout bag! I will be dining again and next time I’m bringing friends :-)

It’s more of a senior citizen crowd. My parents like to eat here. The soups are good and salads. The main meals are just OK nothing to write home about I’ve had the salmon and the prime rib. Prime rib was a very thin cut wasn’t impressed. gave it to my mother to give to her dog. dessert are very simple. Does get crowded in there. Restaurant is simple inside needs an update.

We haven’t been here in a while, but thought we would go in to try the Monday night $ 5 gourmet burger special that was advertised in an email that they sent me. We were seated right away and water and rolls were promptly brought to the table. The waiter came and took our order and the food was delivered in a timely manner. After that, everything went downhill. My husband asked the person who delivered the food if he could get some mustard and mayo. After a very long wait, our waiter delivered the condiments. I was in mid-sentence asking if I could get some extra thousand island dressing(this was the condiment already put on the burgers), and our waiter just walked away. My water ran out a few minutes after that. We were sitting in a corner and no one ever came over our way, nor could we get anyone’s attention. After I had been out of water for a good twenty minutes, our waiter finally came to our table. I asked for water and the long-awaited dressing so I could try and enjoy the quarter of a burger I had left. Naturally, it took forever. So did the bringing of the check and payment process. Our waiter apologized saying he had a very large table(there was a large group of probably twenty) and they all wanted separate checks. You know what, that is not my problem. I expect just as good service as those twenty people. Plus, they work in pairs, so neither one of them could assist us? I feel like we were being treated as low man on the totem pole because we only ordered burgers and no alcohol. Well, guess what? Even though the food was decent and the price was right, I am in no huge hurry to return. This place is a little on the high end, so if this is the service I can expect, why would I want to return for a pricey meal(unless maybe I bring 18 other friends).
