Please do not come here, trust me. The maître d’ Brad is beyond rude and pretentious. I came here nine months pregnant with reservations and asked for a table outside. Mind you, it was 6:30 at night and the restaurant was only a quarter full and there were plenty of tables outside. He snottily told me that I can have one of the inside tables. At a loss for words, I decided just to sit down, but then out of principle I stood up and said no and asked for a table outside. He put me at a table in Siberia. Wanted to leave but decided to stay just because I wanted to try the food. I was 9 months pregnant so pretty much anything tastes good to me. Did not enjoy my meal at all. I thought it tasted and looked like the dog’s breakfast. The only thing positive I’ll say about this place is the wait staff. They were very lovely. Overpriced, rude maitre D and bad food.

The veal was good with Gorgonzola sauce. The pear salad was fantastic. Pastas are good too. Sit outside on a cool lovely raving. The atmosphere is charming out on the porch.

Walking down Worth Ave in Palm Beach is an experience like few others. Passing Bentleys, and top end Mercedes, strolling past opulent store fronts and flower-covered walls on a lovely spring evening feels like you’ve arrived! We valet-parked and met friends and unanimously selected a table outdoors in the courtyard. We’ve been to Italy several times and dined in settings just like this. It was lovely! The service, too, was outstanding — a flock of waiters standing ready in the shadows to refill glasses or bring freshly baked breads and whisk away dirty plates. Service was quick and efficient. I started with my standard drink, a dirty Tito’s martini. Sadly, it wasn’t as good as most places. My husband and I split a Caesar salad which, even split, was ample and good. I, and another, ordered from the evening’s specials: Fettuccini alla Gambaroni. The shrimp were exquisitely large but the dish was over-powered with the flavor of the porcini mushrooms. The menu description promised garlic, but I couldn’t make it out. The dish was good but not delicious. No one commented on their entrée which signals that the flavors weren’t worth commenting about. Later, my husband, who orders the Bolognese dish wherever we go, said his was good but certainly not among his favorites. How disappointing to have this beautiful location and expert wait staff with food that’s not of the same caliber. Don and I split a dessert, the apple tart, and even that was underwhelming. We were being treated to dinner so we didn’t see the final tally, but my dish was $ 34 which was about average with some dishes mid $ 20 and others at $ 50. I’m sure people will continue to return to this beautiful spot and perhaps there are better food choices to be had but with so many excellent restaurants in the Palm Beach area, we won’t be returning to this one.

The service was second to none and they were so accommodating. I have read reviews about this place being pretentious but had no feeling of that whatsoever. I would highly recommend Renatos to anyone looking for a romantic dinner with great food and excellent service.

Sharing charge — beware! Great place. Wonderful ambiance and excellent quality and preparation. HOWEVER, as regular customer, and after ordering salad, appetizer a bottle of wine and running a bill of almost $ 200, they charged me an additional $ 7 to share the entrée. Not the money, but the principal. Mentioned to manager and he didn’t seem to care and would not take off the ‘sharing charge’. Love the place, but left a ‘bad taste’

I have been consistently impressed with the quality of service and food at this iconic Palm Beach establishment, but last night noticed a different side to the reality. I found the service brusque, harried, and distant. What bothers me in particular is the unapologetic and almost disparaging attitude of staff when they are unable to fulfill a request. Let’s go through the list. 1) We always want to sit outside on the rarefied patio rather than the rather grandmotherly dining room when we come here, and have always been accommodated, even if rain is imminent, because they have good umbrellas. Last night we could not be accommodated. This is understandable from a capacity perspective, but the maitre d’s delivery of the bad news — «nope, you’re not getting anything outside tonight» — left much to be desired. 2) Asked for a cocktail list, and felt almost admonished«no cocktail list». Again, understandable(if démodé), but as a(heavily) paying customer I expect more bedside manner when told no. 3) The bread waiter comes by and offers three types of bread, and I happened to want both an olive bread and a plain. When I asked for two, the waiter simply shook his head and gave me plain. Seriously? I also felt incredibly rushed last night, with multiple waiters swarming to take away my half eaten plate about six times before I was ready. I got into a smooth rhythm of placing my fork back in the risotto to avoid verbal confrontation that would have interrupted table conversation, but it was still annoying. Finally, the valet service was a disaster last night. We waited 5 minutes for a runner to be available and an additional 5 for the car to come back, because the initial runner had failed to record the car’s location on the valet stub. Sure, I have high standards, but this place should be able to meet, if not exceed them, on a consistent basis given its lore and its price point.

Service was fairly good. Outdoor seating was beautiful. The iced tea was the best part of our meal — it was Lipton. Bread was bland. Clam linguine was flavorless although the clams were fairly good. Crab/lobster salad was mediocre as well — lettuce was wilty and there was a hair in it We won’t return

If you only go out once while in Palm Beach, go to Renatos! I don’t know where to start with recommendations. The mushroom carpaccio is hands-down, one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. So creative and unbeatable! The pastas are all great, the linguine ai vongole is great, as was the fra diavolo. Dover sole is hard to beat too!

Very disappointing. We had reservations on Friday evening to celebrate a birthday. We were seated promptly; however, the evening got worse from there. The service was terrible. We were kept waiting for quite a long time before the head waiter noticed we still had our menus. He then took our order because our waiter was not visible. The food was good, but not great based on the high price. I had prosciutto and melon; the melon was not ripe or sweet. We ordered appetizers, main course, desert, after-dinner drinks and a bottle of wine. We were kept waiting more than a half hour before the check finally arrived. Moreover, there was no mention of my birthday – no cake, desert, candle. Not a word even though the restaurant was informed we were celebrating when the reservation was made. The atmosphere is lovely but the food is fair and the service is terrible.

The romantic ambience, posh crowd and location on Worth Ave certainly inflate the price tag. 3 small stone crab claws for $ 52 were a little absurd but I love them. So, for me it was worth the price inflation to enjoy these delicious crustaceans. The grilled octopus was just ok. The pasta bolognese was certainly a generous portion and quite tasty. It was my first time having it as a blush sauce as opposed to a standard tomato sauce with no cream which is more common. The ravioli were perfectly light served with the most delicious garlicky tomato sauce. For dessert we ordered the semifreddo and chocolate lava cake. Both solid choices. The best part of the lava cake was the creamy vanilla ice-cream served on top with yummy toffee crunch sprinkled all over.

Wow. One of my favorite meals in recent history. We were a large group of 8 seated directly in the middle of their courtyard. The service was outstanding and when rain drops appeared we were given an immediate option inside but fortunately not needed. The fish, pasta, and wine selections were outstanding. We were all first timers and will return on our next trip to Palm Beach.

Lunch was wonderful. Simple and elegant dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Service is gracious but a tad awkward. Caprese salad is made with mozzarella so fresh it’s basically as rich as burratta! Antipasto plate was perfect to share for 4 as a little nibble. Salads are small and elegant. Coffee is strong and always flowing! Bloody Mary was strong and spicy with horse radish! A bit pricey but how can you put a price on glamour? Make sure to wear your shiniest diamonds and your cutest Lilly shift. ;)

Our foursome were all perfectly pleased with our made to order allergy safe sea bass and veal scallopini that was cooked to perfection. The service was five star – attentive but not overly so. The cook was careful about allergies and the waiter repeated them to me each time he brought me food. It was a wonderful evening with our friends though it was perfect for couples too. Valet parking on Worth as Mizner is an alley.

We went here for my spouses birthday. Wanted to go here because it was rated very highly but I have no idea how. ONLY good thing about this place is the service. Which is amazing. They are always asking if you want more bread or drinks or how everything is. Now the food on the other hand. Completely awful. I think I truly could of gotten better at Olive Garden. I got the Ravoli alla Caprese and it tasted like something from a lean cuisine box. Very expensive food from a box. Spouse got via chop which is like 45 dollars. And he was like eh. You don’t say EH about a 45 dollar dish!!! So now if your thinking well I don’t wanna go there now… U can. Just go for drinks! The drinks were good and they have s cute romantic outdoor seating but just don’t get the AWFUL food. Very highly dissatisfied with a high class restaurant like this one.

Spectacularly beautiful courtyard dining. Excellent food, over four meals I’ve had soups, salads, fish and meat courses, all were perfectly cooked, not over seasoned and made excellent use of fresh ingredients. I particularly liked my fish entrées. Very good wine list with great choices at a moderate(for a high end restaurant) price points. To be clear — you will not find pork belly or «foam» on this menu, it’s more traditional, thankfully so. Also, portions are not jewel sized, but you will not need a doggie bag. Just right! What makes this restaurant really special is the staff of professionals running it. Although we are only visiting, we were remembered by name and the service was outstanding. If you have anything less than a great experience here, save up for psychotherapy.

This was my third stop on a sunday evening cocktail crawl. You can get some good drinks in the bars around here but was most impressed with the bar at Renatos. The cocktail menu has simple stuff people expect and complex stuff you won’t see anywhere else. The bartenders Debbie and Scott were very knowledgeable about what new things are happening in the craft cocktail world, they are true professionals. Was impressed with the burnt peel garnish on my first cocktail so I stayed for another. The second cocktail was the Barefoot Mailman. Scott infuses some local history with coconut milk, nutmeg, a sugar cane stick, and some other stuff. Ended up having two of them. I’ve never eaten here but the food looked and smelled great!

Had dinner here last night. Delicious ! Specials were great(grouper in thick tomato broth) and the wine list is good. Thanks to Unilocal for highlighting this restaurant. There is a good variety of seating — two beautiful indoor dining areas and an outdoor group of tables by the fountain. Service was good and helpful. There’s a nice mix of northern and southern italian fare Expect to pay about $ 140 for two perhaps more if you get expensive wine.

OHMYWORD, so romantic and elegant especially at night which if my favorite time to go. The food is out of this world and generous. Right on Worth Avenue it’s lovely to walk off dinner in spectacular downtown Palm Beach. The wine list is extensive and the clientele is so classy. Anything you order is excellent and they bend over backward to please you.

I came here for a three course business dinner, and received excellent service. This is definitely one of the better fine dining options on Palm Beach Island. I enjoyed the food and the romantic ambience(which incidentally worked for our large corporate group of 24). Unlike a previous reviewer, I did not find Renato’s to feel stuffy at all. The Italian entrees at Renato’s are definitely above average. Everything that I had(caprese salad, butternut squash ravioli, white chocolate mousse) was very flavorful, delicious, and elegantly plated.
