Lunch service was ending and the afternoon crowd had cleared. It was unseasonably cold that day. We were to meet at the bar. I didn’t see her right away. She was unmistakeable. I made my way through the empty restaurant, surveying and hoping we were alone. She was not there. Expecting to see her shortly, I ordered a scotch neat and her favorite drink, a mint gimlet. I had been waiting for over an hour. What had held her up? She was one not to dawdle. Surely she had not mistaken our meeting time. She knew we were to rendezvous here. I had the tickets in my jacket pocket. It was to be the two of us. I quickly phoned the captain and informed him we would be delayed and ordered another drink. Tom had always been discrete, I thought. Soon dusk set in. The bar maid inquired as to if I would require a table for dinner. «Dinner for one, please.» I had their take on California sushi rolls. It had lump crab, mayo and cucumber — simple and delicious. Friendly waitstaff & excellent service.

Really bad night for one of my favorite spots. Sitting @ bar, bar keep overwhelmed– food slapped down, no set up… Despite asking for a 2nd drink it never showed…, whatever, we left & went to Pizza al Fresco. Too bad… just can’t handle the«season» with this bar staff.

I ate here last night with my aunt and uncle for my 28th birthday celebration. We started out with the goat cheese flatbread and the heirloom tomato and burrata salad. The flat bread was very tasty and had tons of vegetables on my. It could easily be a meal on its own. The tomato and burrata salad was also very good! As for dinner I ordered the crab cakes and instead of the coleslaw I got stir fry vegetables. The crab cakes were phenomenal! There was so much crab meat in them and hardly any filler. They were perfect. The veggies were very good but also very salty. Next time I would tell them less oil and less soy sauce on them. My aunt and uncle surprised me with their skillet cookie dessert and it was out of this world. The cookie was very soft and warm and with the vanilla ice cream it really hit the spot! The ambiance there was also very nice. We sat outside on the patio and they even allowed us to bring our two dogs… One was a puppy and a little hyper but they were very accommodating! Next time I am in West Palm Beach I will be sure to go back to this restaurant!

Really enjoy eating at BrickTops’s always a great experience. The Palm Beach setting was wonderful and the staff were so helpful and the food is so delicious. My daughter loved her steak, I ordered the meatloaf for the first time and it was soft with a great sauce and delicious, my wife had the hamburger which is always a delight. We also enjoy their seafood and the french fries are the best. BrickTops’s never disappoints!

We had dinner at Bricktops tonight. First the reservation person was short and arrogant. The Entries were full of salt and the service was slow and amateurish. Pricey considering you were getting Friday’s quality dinner and service at Palm Beach prices.

We just had a terrible experience at Bricktop’s. It’s 53° out and they had the door to the outdoor patio open the whole time. It was freezing in the restaurant. The air-conditioner kept kicking on and off. We complain to the waiter three times, the hostess once and the manager two times. They insisted that the air-conditioner was off and they had the heat on 80° pretty obvious this wasn’t the case. As you looked around everyone had their jackets on. Our meals were decent. But The Dover sole was a complete joke, loaded with salt and small portion. We had eaten at this restaurant three other times and had a nice experience. We will never go back again.

Loved this place. Our lunch was delicious and the quinoa and kale salad was yummy. Not sure why their rating is so low.

I have had a few experiences at BrickTop’s, and most have been positive. The bartenders are excellent, and the bar area is where I would recommend sitting. This past week, we went for a family dinner, and the service could not have been worse. After ordering in a reasonable amount of time, the wait to actually be served was excessive. When I went to talk to a manager, he walked away to find out what was happening. We got our food a few minutes later, but the manager never returned to check on us. Weird, no? Then toward the end of dinner, our waitress told us that the manager said we could order 3 desserts. Weird again, but OK. At the start of our dinner, we told the host that it was my wife’s birthday, and that we wanted a candle. This also never happened. Would have been nice to have a candle in any of the 3 desserts we were offered. Finally, the primary manager came over and asked for my email address, as she wanted to send me a certificate to come back. It’s now been about a week, and no email. I assume her attempt to pacify me was genuine, but at this point, I have not seen any follow through. I will return to BrickTop’s, but only at the bar, as this seems to be the only organized area of this restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and good service. But the food was awful. I started with the heirloom tomato salad which was fine, but my dad and I both had the snapper for $ 34 and it was terrible. Neither of us finished it because it was flavorless and sort of burnt. My mom got the salmon, which initially came out undercooked and had to be sent back for her safety. Overall, without drinks but with starters, 50 a head for an unpleasant meal was not a good time. I will not be going back, especially because my brother had a similar experience last year.

Good menu– great atmosphere– we did not have reservations and sat at table next to bar– ordered steak med well– came out med rare– sent back– came out med– sent back– came out well charred– young waiters need better service training on clearing plates– also no tissue in either ladies room stall– we would give them another try

The ribs are ridiculously good along with the coleslaw. I’m not a fan of the skinny fries but the mashed potatoes were on point. My filet mignon was tender and the sautéed kale-spinach like butter. Their best dish are the ribs. However, our waiter was not very attentive and we waited way to long to get our drinks. This is an expensive restaurant therefore service should be efficient. Also, I told our waiter we were celebration a bday and he could have bought out a scoop of ice cream at least to make up for the poor service.

My family was turned away 8 minutes before opening! Really? I have two little kids that were hungry and cranky! No kids menus? Really? The hostess that turned us away had a bad attitude! Disgraceful!

Great atmosphere — sitting in outside patio on a beautiful day. Great menu — several selections looked delicious. Hostess was extremely nice and accommodating. Waiter was quiet but efficient. My daughter enjoyed the freshly baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream — DELICIOUS!!! Definitely worth a visit just for this. Deviled eggs quite good — best in the world? Nope. Those are served at Founding Farmers in DC. Good gazpacho. Bistro chicken very very good — succulent sliced chicken with perfect amount of Cajun style spice. Skinny fries nicely seasoned. Definitely coming back!!!

The food was great, our server — he was on point… The manager with the ugly shoes was rude, who comes out with an attitude does not smile to her customers BADMOVE!!! Other than that my daughters an I enjoyed ourselves on a hot day coming from the beach, $ 200 early dinner bill was WORTH it… Might go back if that womyn wears better shoes and smiles!

Order the deviled eggs and millionaire’s bacon! These are possibly the best deviled eggs I’ve ever had. And, the bacon tastes like it’s been smothered in maple brown sugar. Killer combo. Unfortunately, everything else was just meh. The cobb salad was beautifully plated(see first photo) but lacked flavor. Décor highlight: The ladies room has fun wallpaper with humorous quips(see second photo).

I’ve only sat on the loggia and at the bar here, but my experiences have been very good so far. Attentive service and good food. The bar is also very lively for dinner service. I don’t understand the comment about the hostess at all… I’ve been there a few times and they are always friendly. One of them went the extra mile when I called after Christmas to put a table together outside for our large party on New Years Eve. In terms of food, usually their specials are good. Would like to see their blue point oysters, gazpacho, lobster bisque and flatbreads appear as menu staples. The salads at lunch are generous and the other two ladies with me who ordered salads were very pleased. On the dinner menu, the deviled eggs, pampano and flatbreads were very good. The crab cakes were a bit too rich for my liking. What could they improve? While this is Palm Beach, I don’t think the atmosphere warrants the prices of some of the items, such as $ 36 crab cakes and an $ 18 iberian ham and arugula salad. Even meat market and buccan provide more low cost alternatives aside from tacos and burgers. I’d like to see a bigger menu with a wider price range and some healthier options. I also think that while this is a Southern franchise, some of the items, like crab cakes, could do with less butter. Some of the dishes are too rich for the Florida climate and people watching their poolside figures.

My first experience(10÷2÷2014) at this place leaves a lot to be desired. The first two entrée’s I ordered off the menu were not available. My final order, an extremely poor substitute, was AWFUL! The server did not ever come back to the table after the main course was served.
