Eh… not worth it. Service was good, although there was a lady with two boys next to us that was there before we sat down, and we couldn’t help but overhear her comments about having to wait 20 min for a large pepperoni pie(they were trying to make a movie upstairs). It wasn’t that busy and I noticed a manager apologized & brought out her pizza but then left and the lady was stuck trying to pay her bill(been there, hate that). Anyway, we ordered a large Caesar salad and a large pepperoni pizza. The salad was great. Although it was $ 11, we felt it was well worth it because it was served with a generous amount of freshly shaved Parmesan & homemade croutons in a large CHILLED bowl(love that). It was packed with salad so my husband and I split it and had a couple of full plates each before our pie arrived. The pizza was not great. The thin crust was good, but the sauce was VERY sweet and was loaded with what looked like an Italian blend of spices(think a ton of black pepper & oregano). We each forced the 2nd piece down then called it a day. We didn’t bother to box up the other half. For what we paid we just didn’t feel the quality was up to par at all and perhaps it’s just our taste but it reinforced our love for Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza!

I see a lot of mixed reviews here, and I understand why. We have been there twice in the last month, both times ordering the pizza which arrived hot & crispy when it was busy, and also when it was practically empty. Both times the female manager asked us how our food was, and the pizza was a solid 4.5 out of 5. The manager asked us about our meal, and the waiters were moderately attentive. The 1st time we went as a party of 4, the manager came to our table 35 mins after we had placed our food order, and said they had made the wrong pizza for us. She offered us a choice of complementary bread or salad while they cooked us a new one. By the time we got our pizza it was slightly over an hour after we ordered it. We were not really bothered as we were there to socialize with friends as well. The bread we got as a complementary side was very ordinary. Our 2nd visit on a busy Friday night went a lot better. Again the pizza was hot, crispy and good, and the manager came to ask us how everything was, One thing to remember here is that if you order a topping on half the pizza, it is counted as a full order. I had a Sammy A.(beer) & she had a glass of Rose, along with our large 6 topping pizza. the tab came to $ 50 without tip. You have the option of sitting inside or outside, but outside tables are far more popular in the evenings. I definitely recommend the pizza, but I can’t vouch for other foods on the menu. We will go there again.

Went again, pizza & calzone after seeing Money Monster(excellent !) at the Cobb theater. Pie came out loaded with basil, heavy handed person made it this time. I loved it, but the rest of my party had issues, so the manager took care of it. He brought us another pie, no basil, no charge, no problem! The best manager at Grimaldi’s ! Thanks again, and of course, we’ll be back again and again.

Terrible service. Server was nice but never around. Wrong size salad. Pizza took 45 minutes. Very few olives and mushrooms on it. Pepperoni and sausage was good. Pizza was good overall. Cannoli was terrible with very little filling… a teaspoon or so at the ends(apparently they were training a new person). Women’s bathroom had rodent poop in the stall that we used. Ugh!!! That pretty much did it for me. I was completely grossed out. I did point the issues out to the manager and she said she would take care of the issues. Just a really bad first experience. We won’t go back.

We generally like this place. We strayed from our normal order today and were disappointed. We ordered a small pizza with bacon, salads, and a side of meatballs. The bacon was a mistake, it was very fatty and just gross. This is not the norm. I love their calzones and will stick with that next time. Jade loves their meatballs either as a side or on pizza. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside.

Another place that fails to beat or meet my expectations, I don’t really understand why if your willing to pay there is not a bigger choice in beverages. Is it society’s fault of the restaurants fault that healthy beverage choices don’t exists within the restaurant business. Yes it tasted alright and service was amazing but there’s always some underline issues I continuously run into when trying to enjoy myself out to eat. Issues like what ingredients are they using? GMOs, preservatives, artificial ingredients who knows but I’m bound to find out because I believe this information should be more available and people shouldn’t be forced to pay such high prices if high quality ingredients are not being used. In all fairness this is one of the better places to get pizza but be careful and ask for light sauce if your like me and hate a nicely cooked thin pizza drenched in cheap sauce.

Brick oven pizza at its finest, a thin crust with a nice variety of toppings. Very attentive staff and fast table turnovers gets customers in and out. A dependable pizza spot.

Love the vibe, the service, the food… Please note that the menu is not large but perfect for fresh delicious pizza and simple fresh salads. They have a large outdoor sitting area and decent size interior so I’ve never had to wait to get seated. Located in the heart of the mall, you feel connected to the activity but not overwhelmingly so. Dress code is casual. Good place to bring the kids too. I highly recommend this place for an upscale yet casual pizza parlor with a simple but perfectly curated menu.

I had high hopes for Grimaldi’s, having just been by the original Brooklyn location in Williamsburg recently, but the three of us were left wanting by our first(and, more than likely, last) experience at Grimaldi’s in Palm Beach Gardens. We had ordered a pizza with sausage and several other toppings, but by the time the pizza made its way to us, it was a little on the lukewarm side, with the crust being a bit underdone, not really fulfilling the taste promise of a coal-fired pizza. The pizza was so uninspiring that we ended up tossing what we didn’t eat — and I think that says it all, since leftover pizza is usually pretty amazing(especially the next morning for breakfast), but none of us wanted any more of this one. I also found it funny that we were asked whether we wanted cold or hot chicken on our chicken Caesar, we asked for hot(meaning freshly prepared, in my mind), and what we got was refrigerator-cold. So much for paying attention to the order. Perhaps they were just having a bad night, but comparing this to other local options, I think you’d be better off at Anthony’s — after multiple visits there, I just find their coal-fired pizza better executed and much better tasting than Grimaldi’s. I’m a native New Yorker, and I just can’t agree with the others who say that this is on a par with what you’d get up north — it just isn’t, in my book.

Definitely a fan of this place!!! My cousin had been raving about it, so he finally introduced me and I was not disappointed. We waited about 30 mins for a table New Years Day, which was great considering they told us there was a 60 – 75 min wait and they weren’t taking reservations that day. The ambiance is nice and they are very accommodating of big or small parties. They only serve pizza and salads and appetizers. They also have a decent wine list. Now to the Pizza!!! They have an assembly like line in front of the coal fire ovens. You can watch them toss your pizza dough while you munch on appetizers. They have a huge assortment of toppings to choose from to pile on your pie. They décor is an ode to Brooklyn, NY. We ordered 3 pies and 3 Cesar salads for our party of 8, which turned out to be more than enough food. We got a pepperoni and bacon pie(which took a little longer to come out because they said the pie collapsed so they were making us another one) a mushroom and cheese pizza and a white pizza with garlic, spinach and spicy chicken sausage. The crust is thin and crispy and perfectly cooked. The toppings are fresh and everything we ate was delicious! I am a HUGE fan of pizza and this place was awesome!!! The white pizza was def my favorite, but the others were equally tasty. It is located in Palm Beach gardens in a nice mall with a movie theater and shop steps away from the restaurant. The prices are so reasonable and the staff is very friendly. There is even a walk up bar on the outside where you can place take out orders and sit and have a drink while you wait. A definite must try if you are in the area. My cousin goes at least once a month!!!

Fantastic casual dining in a great location– downtown at Palm Beach Gardens– convenient to a myriad assortment of shops and a movie theatre. We were a party of 7 that stopped in around 2pm on a Sunday. Although it had been raining earlier, the sun was now shining and it was in the mid-80s, so we opted to sit outside. Outdoor seating is in the shade which is essential given the heat and humidity in South Florida despite it being the end of December. When it comes to coal-fired pizza, I’m usually not a fan because too often I find the crust charred to a crisp and burnt on the underside. This was, thankfully, not the case at Grimaldi’s! This crust was thin, light, and crisp so as not to overpower the actual flavors of the pizza itself. The sauce errs on the sweet side but it’s not sickeningly so in any sense. I really enjoyed the sauce! The cheese was not over done so as to overpower the other ingredients, which I always appreciate in a pizza pie. In addition to red sauce, you can opt for a pesto or garlic base. They offer a few«chef’s selection» pizzas in addition to the«make your own» variety. Sizes are personal, small, and large and 2 large pizzas were enough for the 6 of us that were enjoying the pizza. We opted for a large Margherita pizza and a large Brooklyn Bridge. The Margherita was light on the cheese, as expected, heavy on the sauce, and had a nice amount of basil dispersed across the pie. It was an excellent traditional Margherita pizza! My preferred pie of the two we ordered was the Brooklyn Bridge. This pizza had roasted red peppers, Italian sausage, and creamy ricotta cheese. I loved the complimentary flavors and how the ricotta was dabbed evenly about the surface of the pizza. I think the sausage dispersion was a tad uneven as I noticed some slices had maybe only a small piece or two and others had the sausage piled on heavily. Several of us also ordered salads to enjoy before our pizza arrived. I like how they come in both small and large sizes, but be advised and plan accordingly, the salads-even the small– are HUGE! The small would be a large entrée size at most establishments to put it into perspective. I loved the spinach salad I ordered! It was ridiculously heavy on both the crumbled bacon and the gorgonzola, but I was not complaining! It wasn’t overly dressed which I appreciated too. My boyfriend had a Caesar and while it was ok, I preferred my choice to his. The house salad was also ordered and I was assured it was tasty. I noticed it contained more items than a typical house salad, including red peppers, mushrooms, and green olives(whole not sliced!). The beer options are decent and inexpensive; a Lagunitas IPA was $ 5. Wine was extremely well priced; my boyfriend had a house pinot for $ 4. Service was attentive, although it did take a while for our table to receive the lemons that were requested for the water glasses. Overall, all of us enjoyed good food and great company, and we would absolutely return to a Grimaldi’s location in the future!

They have great pizza. Thin crust and excellent service. I also ordered a large salad with chicken. It was pretty average, but the big problem was it was 1⁄3 croutons. I suggested that wasn’t the best way to serve a salad and they took it off our bill. It’s not a five because it’s loud. Yes, lots of families there, but it wasn’t that… just the acoustics of the indoor seating. Hard to hear people at my own table. I would definitely go back.

I am very bias to good pizza, as I am from the Tri-State(NY, NJ, CT) area. For South Florida pizza this place is stellar. I always recommend Grimaldi’s to anyone coming to my area if they are looking for good pizza. The sauce is great, dough is amazing, and the cheese all fits so perfectly onto their pizzas, you will not leave dissatisfied.

I love the whole coal fire pizza phenomenon. Some places do it great(Anthony’s) and others are just, eh. I have to say that Grimaldi’s Pizza is my favorite. Why oh why can’t you be closer in the Broward area? I digress. So, let’s start with the pizza. The sauce, mozzarella cheese, and dough are all made on the premises. The crust has the perfect crunch. The cheese is deliciously subtle and the right stretch. The sauce is on the sweet side with just the right amount of salty balance. I really think this pizza rivals the authentic slices I have had in NYC. Yes, I know Grimaldi’s originated in Brooklyn, but it’s hard to replicate for several locations all over the country. They do an amazing job. We wanted a little green with our lunch and split the Caesar salad. It was good with slices of real Parmesan cheese. Plenty for up to 3 – 4 people to have a taste. They have Pepsi products, so if you are a Diet Coke head like me, you may be slightly disappointed. The service was impeccable, very friendly server and the manager also checked in on us(She even noticed I took a picture of the pizza! Busted!) Highly recommend!

Pizza — was good. Thin crust. Cheese was a bit much. I would have preferred a little less. Pepperoni was sweet but greasy. The pesto pie was a bit interesting. Very green. The ricotta and the chicken toppings were good. The service was ok, but these seemed to be many manger types walking around ensuring everything was getting done. My cesear salad was very good. Small can serve two people. The dressing was light and the parmesean on top was tasty. The cheesecake was also good. We got one plain and one Oreo and we shared. They were good. Ambiance was good. Indoors the tables are casual but fun and trendy. They also have outdoor seating. Bathrooms were clean and had hand sanitizer. They also have an outdoor take out window. The do give the kids pizza dough to play with. Family friendly! Beer list was good, and wine list was also ok.

We really like coal fired pizza and Grimadi’s was no exception. We had the old standby of a large with pepperoni. Making thin crust coal fired pizza must have a small window as to when it’s ready, seems another 10 seconds in that intense heat would be too much. This was prepared just perfectly, seconds from too much with crispy bubbles on top and a perfect crust. The sauce and cheese ratio were correct, but I love it cheesy and might add extra cheese next time. However, both my DC and I commented on how the pepperoni actually had taste. It cooked up nicely on the pizza and had a porky, meaty flavor as it should, but rarely does. This place might be better than Anthony’s which we really like also. Nice short menu; pizza, calzones, desserts, beer or wine. Next time my sister-in-law is in town I have remember to take her here. G-d, she can peruse a menu for an hour and still not know what she wants! Service was prompt and perfect but we were there at an off hour.

On my last trip to Palm Beach Gardens, I ate at Anthony’s for some coal fire oven pizza, and it was great. I did not have a chance to go on this trip because I heard the siren call of Grimaldi’s. My last trip to a Grimaldi’s was two years ago in Scottsdale, AZ, and it was great. So how could I resist this location? Grimaldi’s does not disappoint. The pizza is crisp and tasty, as it should be. The sausage has a good flavor. On a warm but not too hot spring night, eating outside is a real pleasure. The challenge is to finish the pizza because a personal pizza is 12″ diameter. You might be able to finish it because of its thinness, but it can be a challenge. Service is very good, and the entire experience is pleasant. The only challenge is finding it. Grimaldi’s is in an outdoor shopping center, so your GPS will get you close but perhaps not right to the front door. However, the shopping center(the Palm Beach Gardens Mall) is not hard to navigate and has the requisite«You are here» maps, so no worries on that account. If you have a chance to visit and like good thin NY style pizza, this is a great place to go.

Nothing beats the location in NYC which I was lucky to visit a few months back. We ordered the food for take out, it was a large pie with half cheese and sausage well done. It came out just the way we ordered it. Excellent pizza !

Best pizza in the palm beach area! It’s awesome. It reminds me of the one that first started in Brooklyn. Although they’ve been commercialized and it’s much more expensive now. It’s still great pizza. I recommend getting the plain cheese pizza with lots of basil. Place on after cooking not during.
