The pizzas are delicious, but they need to work on their listening skills over the phone. The first time we ordered I had to repeat myself several times, the second time it was a new girl and eventually the manager had to get on, the last time we ordered we were having a small gathering for a birthday and got a deep dish and some pies and I repeated myself several times, the guy on the phone repeated it all back to me correctly but still managed to mess up the pizzas so we had to call nd re-order again and they fixed it all up for us. We were going to give back the other pizzas since we didn’t touch them but they said just to keep them. We were in a pizza coma for day but very delish!

The New York pizza was reasonable priced and delicious. The dining area is small and the food was out quickly. We will be back.

The pizza here is amazing! It’s the closest to NY pie I’ve had in the WPB area. So cheesy and the crust was light and chewy. Great service and courteous too. We will back!

Had the Sicilian pizza the other night and wasn’t expecting too much because of the mixed reviews on Unilocal, but we were very impressed. The pizza was great, and we were really feeling the sauce. We also tried the cannolis, and they were really good as well. We can’t wait to try the Chicago style the next time around.

Being from the northeast, I’m VERY particular about pizza. This is the BEST New York-style pizza in town, bar none. Don’t understand the comparisons to Chicago pizza, as this is a NY style pizza joint. What are the characteristics of a NY pizza? Perfect thin crust topped with a light layer of tomato sauce and toppings are sparingly used(the slice isn’t thick enough to hold a lot of weight). The crust is crispy at the edge and soft and pliable to be folded in half to eat. That’s NY pizza. Everything always tastes fresh and flavorful. For me, it’s a slice of heaven every time!

Let me start by saying for Chicago pizza in Florida, it wasn’t bad however but as someone whose had actual Chicago pizza– it was lacking. The large has 5lbs of cheese and is about 8 slices. The toppings were not layered as typically done in Chicago pizza so a little soupy. A sausage and pepperoni pizza was very greasy. The sauce was good but was very plain marinara so I’d like more flavor. The crust was good. The cannoli was delicious but I don’t know if it’d pay $ 5 each again. A large fed 5 people with left overs. You do pay at the counter. There is no just free water only bottled water. Soda is $ 2 each.

Same situation as the reviewer who called before closing. Buongiorno is not perfect but at least they deliver on the hours they state.

Had Philly cheesesteak. Steak was OK. Not sure what kind of cheese. Supposed to be able to choose cheese but cook never asked what kind I wanted and I realized you could make a choice after it came. Only a couple of slices of pepper and mushrooms. Roll was very doughy and I removed half the roll in order to taste the steak, etc. Cook was running around frantically cooking, taking orders and money. He was doing a good job but it was too much for one person. There were only 3 customers in the store and may have been a couple of small orders to go.

Try deep dish pizza. One piece is a meal in itself. Never had a pizza that the melted cheese oozes out and is so delicious!

Small pizza joint in a tucked away plaza. Seat yourself and order at the counter or the server can come to your table. They have a pretty extensive menu offering salads, appetizers, subs, calzones and more. They serve beer and water in bottles. Wine is served out of splits. Tip: order tap water if you choose not to pay for water. Two employees staffed the place. One cook, one server/delivery guy. I appreciated how they helped each other do everything and how quickly they moved throughout the establishment to service customers. The cook was serving us as well while the server left to deliver pizzas. When the server returned he picked right where everything left off, seamless. The cook was doing everything in the back. We did not have to wait long for our food at all as busy as they were. We ordered the Pub Style Wings appetizer medium sauce and a large New York Style Pizza with half Meatball and Cheese. The wings were jumbo juicy with light crunchy breading, perfectly coated with buffalo flavor sauce. I requested them extra crispy and they got it right! They were delicious! The pizza arrived to our table piping hot! We had to eat the first slice with a knife and fork. This wasn’t a bad thing. The crust was thin crispy airy. Plenty of cheese but avoided a soggy crust at the same time. The meatballs are pre-made but not too bad. I grant most of the stars to the hard working employees and delicious wings.

My fellow Unilocalers from the mid-west your Chicago style pizza prayers have been answered! Best pizza around made by a true Italian. The crust to stuffing ratio was perfect and the sauce was the perfect flavor. I have been searching for a good Chicago deep dish pizza since I moved to palm beach county 8 months ago and my search is over! PS: If you still have room left after devouring the fantastic pizza try a fresh cannoli they are amazing!!!

BEST pizza in town! Born in Sicily I’m pretty particular about Italian Food that doesn’t come from my family’s Kitchen. Don’t let 1 grumpy review steer you away from Dave’s establishment. It’s molto delizioso! From Pizza, Calzone, Insalta or dolce; myself & friends LOVE your cuisine, staff, timeliness & restaurant.

**NOTE: I was giving this place 1 star but raised it to 2 stars because we had a 15 minute drive back to the beach which probably made our bad meal all the more horrendous! This review is from August 2014. **NOTE2: This is the meanest review I have ever written. Edited twice which is why it is now 2 stars. Sigh. I love pizza. I love deep dish. I love pan. I love Sicilian. I love thin crust. I love cracker thin crust. I even have some frozen pizzas that I will eat in a pinch(think self-rising crusts)… …but I do not love Dave’s Hot Pie Pizza. I don’t even like it. Sorry, Dave. After a long day of driving into Florida and taking a tour of the time share community, we wanted something fast, easy and tasty for dinner. We all agreed on pizza! Mom is a big fan of the coupons on and had found a coupon for Dave’s. Granted, she did this back in Maryland and did not map the distance from where we were staying to Dave’s. We also had a bit of trouble finding the place because neither Google nor Unilocal knew where Dave was hiding his hot pie pizza. Turned out, Dave’s had taken over another pizza place just a few months earlier but Dave didn’t hire anyone tech savvy enough to update any of the search engine in order to generate business. This really made for a scary drive in an area we did not know… wondering if it was even a real restaurant. Jokes were made of what might actually be waiting for us at the end of the road… We order a Hot Pie with sausage, pepperoni, roasted green pepper and onion. This is the best thing we ordered from Dave’s. Everything was fine. Not a lot of sauce. Chewy crust. Very light on the cheese for some reason. They were not heavy handed with the toppings but they did not skimp on them neither(except for the cheese). I did not like the sausage(which was cut into little circles) but I just picked them off. Decent start. Not the best, but not the worst. Now to the worst pizza I ever had in my life. The veggie pizza. We love vegetables. We even love them on pizza. But what was Dave thinking??? Roasted green peppers, onions, black olives, mushrooms and garlic. Yum! Perfect right there. But he keeps on going. Tomatoes. On a pizza? I’m thinking Margarehita pizza. But these are thick slices. Makes the pizza soggy. Broccoli. Thick broccoli trees on the pizza. What? What about chopping them up? Still kind of raw and makes the pizza heavy. Maybe, if you don’t have a super soggy crust. Spinach. What? Sure. But it was soggy spinach and it made the pizza really soggy. Did you catch the theme here? The pizza was super soggy which made it really gross. The crust was not a crust. It was like a wet casserole but very unappetizing. You could not eat it with your hands. I tried with a knife and fork, but the soggy crust was unappetizing and visually unappealing. Like I said earlier, a drive home with a soggy pizza = soggier pizza. I tried to eat just the veggies, but again, there was not enough cheese and it was like a raw salad gone wrong. The mushrooms were not fully cooked(they were cut too thick) but as they cooked they released juices. My sister and I started eating first. Dad refused to even try that sloppy mess. Mom tried but eventually gave up. If only that was the worst part of the meal… We also bought some zingers. We bought a lot of zingers. If you look at their menu, it states 10 buffalo zingers are $ 9. What are zingers? Well, if you look at the menu, right above is a description of «tasty jumbo buffalo wings(mild, hot, or bbq)». Easy mistake to make. It looks like the description is for the buffalo zingers since it has«buffalo» in the name. NOPE!!! That was the description for the pub wings. There is absolutely no description for what the zingers are. Zingers are really more like chicken tenders. Not wings at all. Heavily breaded chicken tenders. Throw some buffalo sauce on them and leave them in a styrofoam container for a 15 minute drive and you just have a hot, gummy mess. REALLYDAVE??? On your menu, you take the time to describe what chicken tenders are and what pub wings are but who the hell has ever heard of a «zinger»??? I would like to point out that the zinger is the ONLY thing on the menu WITHOUT a description. Ok. I won’t lie. I am 42 and I have been in a lot of bars, so I actually could have guessed what a zinger is. But my kid sister who is barely in her 20s and my teetotaler Mom have zero idea what a zinger is as they do not frequent bars. Sure, they should have asked if they did not know… but they read the description and saw that a zinger is a «zesty JUMBO buffalo wing». The really pathetic thing is that we all love chicken wings so we got 2 orders of 10 zingers. LOL. That is an awful lot of soggy and mushy flour on top of chicken. **Side note: Dave’s has quite a few 5 star reviews on from other coupon purchasers. People love the calzones, cheesesteaks and deep dish pizza.
