For my engagement party, I decided to order kimbap and japchae from here very last minute. The people were very accommodating. I informed them that I have a lot of errands to run and they expedited my order. I appreciated how accommodating they are. At the party, the kimbap was the first to go and luckily I had a bite and it was pretty good. I recommend this place if you are looking for good and low cost catering food for your party!

When they first opened it was ok. Compared to the store prior, you can’t compare. However, there were couple things I liked and purchased regularly on a weekly basis. This review is for the last purchase. I haven’t been there in a month or so and I remember why. It’s gotten so bad as far as quality and taste. Kimchi Wang Mandoo — it used to be 3 for $ 3 and now 2 for $ 3, fine. But it was all bread, tofu, noodles and NOKIMCHI. I think I crunched on one tiny sliced kimchi. Tteokbokki — Gave me 1 ohdang and lots of sauce, so stingy. They used to stuff the thing. My main complaint is — WHYISEVERYTHINGSOSALTY??? KimChi Jjigae — you couldn’t taste the kimchi broth. It was eating kimchi washed off in salt water ugh. I threw it out after few tries. Grilled Fish — you’re better off eating a spoon full of salt. Dried off fish and so salty I rinsed the fish then reheated it. Kimchi — you don’t taste the spiciness like it used to be. Now it tastes like eating cabbage sprinkled with salt. Their side dishes such as pancakes were so burnt, dried and salty. After eating a variety of their food for lunch with my sister, we were SOOOOOOO thirsty and felt sick. We ordered Korean for dinner from a restaurant because we were very unsatisfied. Overall, they have no innovation — providing the same selection for years. Plus their food has gotten so bad taste wise and the usage of salt ruined everything. Fortunately, there are so many alternative stores around there, I will not step my foot in here again. With the space they have, they can do so much. I hope they turn things around.

For a 2nd generation korean who doesn’t know his way around the kitchen, Eun Ha Soo is a life saver. I have eaten a variety of different prepared foods from this catering joint and to put it simply, it is a mixed bag. There is a lot to choose from. Some tips Stay away from the soups(gook and jigae). A lot of them taste watered down. The side dishes(banchan), you can’t really go wrong. But the crown jewel of this establishment is something you cannot see just walking around the store. Its hidden behind the counter. Ddukboki(spicy rice cake), Soondae(dont even ask) and mixed tti Gim(deep fried squid, veggies and noodles). This trifecta of awesome comes out to less than $ 20 and can feed 3 people with the cumulative weight of 550 lbs.(pro tip: dip everything in the ddukboki sauce) What could make this rating go up? Work on that soup game. What could make this rating go down? loosening of standards related to food preparations.

Great service and food to go! Food always on point and the prices are fair. Ddukbogi, kim bap, dduk and banchans are awesome! Tastes like the food my grandma used to make me as a kid :’)

I hate to say this, but… it might be better than my mom’s cooking hahaha seriously… this place has a lot of variety, lots of snacks. all types of korean food; MEATS, soups, salads, etc etc. everything is freaking awesome, cant go wrong anything you grab, unless if youre allergic to things i guess. the price is verrry reasonable for the amount of food you get. hwedupbap(raw fish mixed with rice and vege’s) goes for 7 bucks and its good for 2 people or 2 meals. its amazing. there is a 10 dollar minimum on card, but 10 dollars of food here is like 2 – 3 meals, so make sure youre hungry. AND after 8pm or so, they start marking things down by 30% so make sure to check that out. probably the best find in a food store ever. food is always newly cooked everyday and they don’t like having too much left over hence the 30% discounts.

My Chusuk celebration was ordered from here and unfortunately i wasnt too happy. Although the staff is friendly and the food looked tasty, the food was mediocre at best. The banchan, side dishes, were stale and almost tasteless; and their meat portion was definitely much smaller than anyplace I’ve ever ordered. I would not call this caterer, «a bang for your buck.» If the portions are small. I expect the food to be atleast above the normal standard. I wanted to try these guys because of the other reviews however, I cant say that im pleased. Will NOT be coming back.

I tried many Korean foods in my life from Seoul to NY. There are two catering stores in palpark, this one and Jingogae. In my opinion, the food just doesn’t taste as good. To me, Jingogae tastes better. My family ordered from there many times and the staff is really friendly. Their rice cake and side dishes taste much better. There’s also a small table to sit down and enjoy all types of Korean dishes. I recommend you try both and decide for yourself.

When you go out to eat at a Korean resto and you get to try all those yummy side dishes and wonder where you get this at home, then you’ve come to the right place. Eun Ha Soo Catering in Palisades Park, NJ has plenty of these awesome small dishes(called Banchan). The whole store sells every kind you can think of and all freshly made. I found out about this spot from my mother-in-law who is Korean and proof this place is legit. All types of kimchi like napa cabbage, radish, garlic root, dandelion root and then you have a whole array of gimbap(sort of like a California roll but 10x better), pa jun(seafood and scallion pancake), and lots more. There’s no parking on the premises but plenty of meters all along Broad Ave which gets your 30 minutes for a quarter. If you spend over a certain amount here(~$ 50) you get a free dish like rice cakes or pork buns.

During Hurricane Sandy, most of Bergen County had no power… except for Palisades Park. Because of this, most of the Koreans in Bergen County frequented this town for food and shelter. My family stopped by Eun Ha Soo Catering for food every single day. Literally. Thank you, Eun Ha Soo, for keeping the Kwon clan alive. Yes, by the 5th day, I got tired of eating the same exact thing(that is, Kim bap and Jjigae) but I found myself craving the kimbap from Eun Ha Soo as soon as I returned to the City. Now, every time I’m back in NJ, it also means a quick trip to EHS to bring back some food.

GREAT place for prepared Korean favorites, comfort food and catering. I discovered this place when my mother placed a catering order based on her experience at a recent college reunion party. As a bonus, with deposit, you can get your appetizers beautifully presented in round lacquered traditional Korean serving containers. My mother ordered the chicken wings which were so delicious in a proprietary house special sauce(I think I tasted kochee chang paste in it … DELICIOUS), as well as the seafood pajun and a couple other dishes. Catering aside, this is a great place to come in for a few dishes to take home. Pricing seemed reasonable to me and the store is very clean, much more sanitary and convenient than going to the average Korean grocery stores to pick up these tasty treats. Will have to try going in later to get the 30% off.

as a bachelor, this place is a godsend. fully prepared korean food to go, GOOD. 30% discounted afer 8:30PM, GREAT. don’t have to cook or clean, freaking AWESOME. i’ve never been disappointed with the food selection here and always look forward to the variety they have(just to name a few: mandoo, kimbap, tongdak, galbi jjim, various jeon, dduk, mackerel, bibimbap, hwedupbap, jookoomi, and an aisle full of banchan in various sizes). the soups in the back are pretty solid too, i recommend the biji jigae and the gom tang. overall it’s fairly priced for the convenience factor. the dduckboki, udon, and soondae in the front are pretty good too. it gets pretty packed around 5:30 — 6:30 as everyone gets off the 166(T) and picks up dinner before going home. parking can get rough during peak hours and are almost all street meter parking($ 0.25 for 30 mins)

RUDE owners and coworkers. especially 2 ladies just staring at me while im waiting on line. They don’t even say hello to you when you walk in. The food isn’t all that good. I prefer jingogae. Very PLEASANT owners and workers, they say hello to you when you come in. I don’t like spending money on places that give you a dirty look when you walk in and when you walk out. Give JINGOGAE a try!!!

Great place to get ready-made Korean food without spending an arm and a leg. Oftentimes, you can get the same thing that you’d pay at least double for at a nearby restaurant! They have Korean soups and stews, marinated meats, side dishes, Korean sushi, Korean rice cakes, and much much more. Just be wary of the dates… a couple of times there were expired items in the refrigerated case. Also, the Korean sushi(aka«Kimbap») is just meh here. [Just a couple stores down in a small mandoo(dumpling) place(with a red awning), they have really delicious kimbap for less money to boot! And if you go after 7pm, there’s a huge discount on them!] Okay, back to EunHaSoo… The ladies who work there are kind and if you purchase a big amount(around $ 30 or $ 40), they sometimes offer you a free pack of kimbap or rice cake. Some of our favorite things — ojinguh tweeghim(fried squid), hwehdupbap(raw sashimi over rice bowl), beejee jjigae(crushed soybean stew?), ttarogookbap(traditional Korean soup… little spicy, really good)… so much more. Definitely worth trying!

Eun Ha Soo is the place to go for delicious, fresh, already prepared Korean foods! I stock up on various ban chan, gook, jji gae, and other dishes. When I do, I eat like a queen for the entire week. A couple of my favorites are kkam poong gi, hwe dup bap, and kim bap. What I love about all the prepared foods is that they are all stickered with the date of when the food was made. This helps me plan out my meals and how long I can keep the dish/banchan in the refrigerator. Everytime we go there we usually get ban chan, dduk, or kim bap for free. The ladies behind the counters are super nice and generous. Go here and buy lots of Korean food… you won’t be disappointed that you did.

I love getting my Korean favorites at Eun Ha Soo and taking everything home(or a local park) to enjoy. Per the high Korean standards of food, everything here always tastes fresh, packaged immaculately & the customer service is very friendly & helpful. Some of my favorite items are their kimbabs & the Korean chicken wings(perfectly flavored and not spicy enough to rip you a new one). DELICIOUSSS. BONUS — they mark their items 30% off around closing time so if you want some good eats at discounted prices, Eun Ha Soo Catering is your spot!

The rice cake items here are very well made. I wasn’t as impressed with the hot food items we picked up(soondae and mandoo). Plus there’s no place to sit down and eat. It was quite busy each time I was there and so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and come back. But I’ll stick with the rice cake items. Ymmv.
