Capri’s deli is awesome!!! If you want an awesome sandwich whether it be a sub, or an Italian beef this is the spot.

I love sandwiches and this is by far one of the best, if not THE best sandwich joint. All the bread is good, but that foccacia is soooo fresh and delicious! The dressing they put on makes the sandwich. The capri and Italian are the way to go!

Still the best of the best! Have I mentioned how amazing Capri is? I also laugh at the people who felt «disrespected» by Tony. Tony is the nicest guy ever. He’s a straight forward sorta dude, but people who cry about «What do you want?» statements by a busy business owner are ridiculous. The coddling of children in society… what a world. Best sandwiches outside of the city and maybe even including the city. Bari may be the only better spot in Illinois.

Simply the best Parmesan Chicken sandwich I have ever eaten, but the last time there They didn’t have any. It was after the holiday so some shipments didn’t come in or the chef was on vacation who knows or who cares, so I settled for the Meatball sandwich which was Just Okay.
We order take out for lunch from here a couple times a month and their food is always very good as per the others here at work

Recently moved to Palatine and found this little gem of a place thru Unilocal.What a find! I’m originally from NYC and a bit of snob when it comes to Italian deli’s and, I’ll tell you, fugetabouit, this place can hang with the best. The bread is on the money, deli meats plentiful and forget the Mayo and muster and stick with the Capri dressing. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian deli experience, this place is definitely worth a drive to palatine.

The sandwiches on focaccia bread are massive and delicious. The sandwiches definitely make this deli worth checking out. It’s a small, no frills dining area since they do mostly carry out. Service is prompt and friendly. I am sure I will be back.

I’ll always remember the day a friend and I randomly discovered Capri years ago. It has since become my favorite lunch spot. I highly recommend their sandwiches, both hot and cold. Tony’s bread brings us back constantly. Also, a 6 inch sub here will really full you up.

This is the kind if restaurant I’ve been looking for! A slice of pizza the size of your head! It was so GOOD! Meatballs sub was amazing. The meatballs are the size of baseballs! The next day I tried the chicken soup! HANDS DOWN, THE BEST CHICKEN SOUP IVE EVER HAD! The service was excellent! The owner is very nice! This is my new favorite place to eat. I could eat here everyday!

The food is good here, so you are probably asking why im giving it 1 star, i really wish I could give it zero stars. it started 2 weeks ago, when I went in for a slice of pizza and they were out. I was like how are you out but ok… Now to Nov 25^th, I go in and ask if he has pizza today, and he said yes, I said good, cause the last 2 times i was in he didnt have any, so this was his last chance, (kinda joking voice) he said, what do you want me to do when I get busy and cant make pizzas, (he had an attitude when he said it) I responded with, well maybe hire more staff, He replied with who the fu*k do you think you are to tell me how to run my business… i was thinking, are you kidding with me, is this how you talk to a customer. Then he told me to get the fu*k out of his business, his quote was «get the fu*k out of my business you fat a$$. He said that as i was turning to walk out, then I stopped, he jumped back, thinking I was going to beat him up, then I told him to look in the mirror before you make a comment like that.
So I guess if you want good food with a side of stupid a$$ then please by all means go here. If not, go find another place to eat, I really hope you go somewhere else.

Delicious hand-​made sandwiches! My favorite is the 4″ Capri Special on focaccia bread. They also offer other cold or hot sandwiches, pizza, salads and pasta.
Located by the corner of Dundee & Rand Road in a little strip mall with a clock repair shop.
The dining area can hold about 40 people, but I always stop by around lunchtime for a sandwich to go & share while watching the Bears.
Highly recommended!

It was my first visit to Capri Deli & pizza so I wanted to get a classic Italian sub with all the fixings. It was very very good. Were it possible, I’d rate them 4 ½ stars. I’m enamored with that bread with a crust that shatters when you bite into it giving way to an extremely tender crumb. This bread was very fresh and tasty, but it wasn’t perfect. Plusses for romaine lettuce, a healthy amount of good quality meat, a yummy oil and San Pellegrino Aranciata soda. The 6 inch sandwich was 8 inches according to my tape measure app. I couldn’t finish it. The place was clean and inviting and the staff friendly. All in all, I’ll have to rate them 5 stars, but I still wish 4 ½ were possible.

Everything fresh, everything delicious! I recommend you try everything on the menu as that is one of my goals. I have never been disappointed. Cannoli is a great way to polish off your meal.

I’ve only had the sandwiches here so far, but this place is the best! I go here with my coworkers and we all get a different sandwich each time we go and so far none of us have been disappointed. The 6″ sandwich is closer to an 8″ sandwich, and it is packed full! Their fresh baked bread ties everything together and its light and fluffy on the inside but firm on the outside.
If you got a taste for a real Italian deli sandwich, you have to go here. I can’t wait to try their pizzas.
Biggest con: wait times can get a little lengthy during rush hour, but that’s what you expect going during rush hour

So i have tried the focaccia sandwiches and some other stuff. This place rocks. It’s consistently good and seriously the focaccia bread sandwiches are soooo good. I feel comfortable saying this is the best deli in the area.
I also tried the italian beef and the italian sausage. both are good, but not the best in all of chicago. they don’t put peppers on the beef or at least were out of them. I like mr. beefs for that anyhow.
The service has never been overly friendly but it’s never been straight up rude.

Fantastic, «Typical» Italian food, just like Grandma used to make! What more can you ask for? We have been dining in, getting carryout and catering for years! Tony is the best! From their sandwiches on fresh baked breads, to their salads, to their traditional pasta dishes, you can’t go wrong! They have THE best pizza… I just wish they were open a little later!
We had our Christmas Eve Dinner catered by Capri this year, and wile my extended family was skeptical at first, it has been decided that Capri on Christmas Eve will be our new Tradition! It is AMAZING Food with Tony’s Personalized service! He treats everyone like they are a longtime customer!
Can’t say enough about Capri… it’s as if you are walking into a restaurant on Taylor Street in the city!
**Must TRY the Chicken Noodle Soup!!!** Who would have thought?!

Holy moly! My coworker got us the prosciutto sandwich on the foccacia bread for lunch today and we were both impressed. Omg! Where do I begin? The foccacia is amazing, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, cheese, oil and seasonings, plenty of prosciutto… Absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied and impressed with my sandwich. I can’t wait to try them out again.

I was in the mood for something new, so my friend and I decided to try out Capri. I’m glad we came!
I love the atmosphere — it has that small, local feel. The whole room smelled like fresh baked bread and pizza (they do bake their bread fresh daily). There are a few tables outside, and plenty inside to sit at. And it is very clean! They have a variety of salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, and soups to choose from, and a few desserts. I decided on the Caprese salad — it was awesome! Light but filling and full of flavor. My friend ordered the corned beef sandwich — I took a bite and thought it was great. Overall they are really cheap and you get a lot for your money. The service was quick and friendly. I have no complaints! I definitely want to come back.
