I wouldn’t come back food is pricey and not good. The lady who took our order was rude and we waited a while after we ordered while people who came in after us got there order first! This place has a B rating for a reason! It’s also in a bad area. trash everywhere. The table was dirty and sticky as we sat down. And as the lady saw us not touching the table she ran over to finally clean it. And I like Mexican music but not when it’s blasting to the point where I can’t talk to the person I’m there with.

I love this place. My favorite Mexican spot in Arleta. Not really sure about the 1 star reviews on here, the food has been fantastic (for the area) every time I’ve been. The waitresses are extremely nice, helpful and attentive. Salsa is fantastic, ceviche is great, tacos and burritos are great and it’s priced very affordable. Interior of the place is not the best, but it’s Arleta, what do you really expect.

DONT GO HERE! I stopped by with my girlfriend to get a quick meal. We ordered the Agua chiles and the breaded shrimp. This was a week night and the place was empty, we waited 45 min for our meal! To make matters worse, once we actually got the Aqua chiles, I was about to take my first bite when i pulled out a long black hair from my food. It was literally between the shrimp & the avocado. I’m
Not one to send food back, but this was disgusting. The breaded shrimp — 4 butterflied shrimp that were anything but appetizing & the rest of the plate was salad and rice. THE HAIR did it for me. They obviously took that plate off the bill, but I’m never coming here again!!!

I went here once and it was okay I ordered the hamburger combo. So I I started to go more often then one day for my lunch break I ordered a hamburger combo again and the meat was so hard as a rock that I banged it against the table I was disgusted that my coworker went back to return it for me and the lady told the lady that was cooking «give her fresh meat now «YUCK. So that means they re use the meat that didn’t sell the day before? Another day passed and I decided to try there torta de Milanesa and IT WAS THE WORST the meat was so black and hard and the bread to I’m never going here ever again worst experience made me sick to my stomach. But the lady’s have good customer service sometimes when they don’t ignore you.

I would like to state that I didn’t dine here but would like to share an experience that occurred with one of the staff.
So I parked my vehicle in the superior market shopping center, was minding my own business when a staff from this restaurant walked up to my car. As soon as he walks up to me starts asking me «who the hell are you, what the f**k are you doing here and so on. Clearly I don’t even know this guy. Not sure if the guy was on drugs or what he was thinking.
I knew he worked there because after he finally left me alone he went back to this location and continued cleaning the restaurant. He was a male in his late 30’s and seemed very hostile. He was wearing a raider hat on this particular evening.
If this is the treatment they give people who mind their own business, one can only imagine what to expect if one was an actual customer. AVOID this ghetto as place!
If you are the owner reading this fire that night staff member he must be giving bad business.

Im from San Francisco, so wasnt sure bout this place, especially cause it doesnt look like much.
But this place was awsome!!!
The food is incredibly yummy! Aguachiles definitly hit the spot.
Definitly will come back on our next trip down herel!

Went there two weeks ago during lunch and the service was horrible. The waitress was getting crazy with a customer over their bill. She was very unprofessional and super slow. The food is not what it used to be. Overly priced for a whole in the wall. I definitely don’t recommend it and I will never go back.

Friendly staff. Not so good food. Crowded dining area. Tables aren’t cleaned up right after. Pretty pricey for not so good food. Parking is ok.
I ordered the coctel de camaron and it was way too sweet and watery. Good amount of shrimp but pricey overall for $ 14. You can get the same if not better at other restaurants for about $ 10. The costa azul special was about $ 20 and a complete rip off! 5 butterflied shrimp, baby scallops, tilapia and clams on the flat grill which would have been good if it was about $ 14 max. The beans were ok and the rice was overcooked and split. It also came with flour tortillas which I was hoping it’d be corn. Salsa was good which came with the food.
Honestly, I really wanted to like this place but it was a complete disappointment. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone based on my food selections. Sorry.

We love the ceviche from here. We usually get the ceviche platter. Actually it’s the only thing we ever get from here. It’s so fresh and good. The amount of avocado that they put is just perfect. The hot sauce is good and the amount of tostadas is just enough. Always best to call in advance.

i loved the food here its fresh spicy and good portions i ate the shrimp with deviled sause and it was hottttt… i loved it and i recommend this place to everyone they have beer and live entertainment as well as karaōke but the personnel needs to be be more nicer.

If you are driving by and are looking for that special place, this is it. The salsa and chips here are the absolute best and they will even sell you a cup to take home. Better than anything you can buy in any grocery store. The handmade tortillas and menudo are excellent as well. All their dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. Don’t miss it!

Great place to eat mexican food the tortiallas are hand made the food always tastes great their fielete empanizado is super good to mention there camarones a la diabla the only bad thing is on sundays it gets super packed and the food takes longer than usual but the food is great the michelaldas are super good i truly recommend this place you will not be let down

Fell in love with this little hidden gems in the valley! Recieved great customer service and delicious authentic Mexican food! What more can you ask for! I definitely will be back!

Hand made tortillas and authentic Mexican food.

Had lunch at this tiny restaurant yesterday. You won’t find a lot of fine dining up this way, what you will find is scores of Mexican restaurants and taquerias. I went here based on Unilocal reviews and it did not disappoint.
Their salsa was delicious with a roasted flavor. I had fish ceviche to start which was tangy and delicious. For a main I had Costillas de Puerco en Salsa Rojo (pork ribs in red sauce). This was fabulous. The meat fell of the ribs and the sauce had a home-​cooked savory flavor. I could be a bit spicier for me, so I simply added some of their excellent salsa. I had a hibiscus agua fresca to drink which is a refreshing change of pace from the standard sodas you typically find.
I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been searching for a place with good ceviche in the valley for awhile! I finally found one! It’s still a bit of a drive for me deeper into the valley but it’s much better than driving into East LA!
As many of the other reviews mentioned, It’s the chunky ceviche and it tastes fresh. I have nothing else to say other than I really enjoyed it and I’d come back often for more! I didn’t give it 5 only because it still didn’t beat my top spot:)
I’m a big eater and also had some chicken tacos. And the chicken was delicious! Tasted freshly cooked:)

I was craving menudo. Badly. So I had to find a place that has it during the week (most places only have it on the weekend). So Unilocalers give this place 4.5 stars… it should be pretty good huh? Well after about 10 minutes I finally got the complimentary chips and salsa. Service seems kinda slow. Finally served 20 minutes in to this adventure. The help area not friendly. Definitely no tip is in her future.
Finished eating and the food is not good. The Corn tortillas appear to be homemade but they were all soggy, the menudo didn’t have any hominy and it was obviously reheated frozen food, the hot sauce was bland even though it looked like it should be very spicy, the corn chips were stale, and the chopped onion they brought for the menudo was not freshly chopped… it was prechopped some days ago. I could tell because it was all slimy & translucent.
I ate about half the bowl of menudo. It’s a big bowl. Edible to certain degree… but definitely not very good.
I won’t be back. I would have been better off getting a combo bowl at yoshinoya. You would too.
The only thing I can say is everyone who gave this place so many stars must be insane. I’ve eaten at several Mexican restaurants based on Unilocalers recommendations and they’ve mostly been mediocre to shitty. I think Unilocalers wouldn’t know good Mexican food if it came up and bit them on the ass… I won’t be using Unilocal for Mexican restaurant recommendations anymore.

This place is still my favorite go to restaurant when I want authentic mexican food. Everything is cooked to order and fresh.
The new owners have done a nice job of updating the décor and keeping the food as good as always.

This place is considered a hidden gem and total hole in the wall place.
They have really good seafood. This is probably their specialty. The coctel my dad says is one of the best he has tried. The ceviche here is great it has actual chunks of fish its not blended like most places.
I have also tried their chiles rellenos. These are so good and they are very authentic. They taste very similar to my moms which I love.
The quesadillas are really good too and they have queso fundido on the outside edges. So good.
