Good Papusas. pretty sure it’s Spanish speaking only restaurant so just know that. Not sure if the papusas are really $ 1 on Wednesdays as is painted on the wall outside of the building. I was charged $ 2.25 per papusa and my spanish is not good enough to explain that the ad says $ 1 and the receipt say 2.25. Other than that the food and drinks were good. Would definitely say this place has the best papusas I have ever had. However, depending on what’s inside the papusa the sizes may very. And because of the time it takes for one to sit down, eat, and pay, I might have to order to-go. Will come back for sure!

Do not come to this place! The pupusas are ok I felt as if they were undercooked! The waitress is horrible we had to go looking for her when we were ready to pay! I could’ve easily dined and dashed but their lucky I’m not that kind of person! We originally came to try the pupusas and order 50 for a party but with her horrible service I’d rather find another restaurant! They don’t even deserve one star!

The best pupusas in the San Fernando Valley! Really good food. Everyone that I have brought here really enjoyed their food(and they all ordered different items). The reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the service is always subpar and slow(the reason for the slow service is probably because handmade pupusas take time to make and because of the small staff– 1 server and 2 cooks). But don’t let that keep you away, the FOODISWORTHTHEWAIT! Also, the food is affordable. I love their ensalada drink, if you have never tried it, I highly recommend it. The ensalada is a delicious fruit cocktail with tiny cubes of apple.

The food was so-so. I have had better and for less. Really $ 2.50 per pupusa is just ridiculous. The service was just awful. We came for lunch on Friday about 12:30pm, the place was empty and yet it took the waitress a good 10 min to even come over and hand us menus. She saw it was 5 of us and asked if we would need separate checks. We said that would be great(you know it makes it easier at the time of paying your portion of the bill). We then proceed to order and she was not happy when someone was asking if she could have jalapenos in her cheese and loroco pupusa. Really all it takes is just saying no we don’t do it or yes but its extra. Anyways we let it go. But then we asked for water as some in our group did not purchase drinks and she NEVER brought it over. When she actually brought over the bills she then proceeds to complain about not liking to split bills because she doesn’t have as much change on the register. Really? Then why did you offer it when we walked in? There wasn’t a communication problem as I speak Spanish as well as did most in our group, really disappointed. We then still left a tip and said thank you as we walked out to have her give us dirty looks. Wow really not a good impression on paying customers. We won’t be visiting this place again.

I’m on a mission to find the best Salvi breakfast in the valley. Being Salvadorean, I love me some Salvi huevos rancheros. There is a difference between the Mexican huevos rancheros and the Salvi ones. Mexican style has hot salsa poured over a couple of over easy eggs. Salvi style has a special tomato salsa, made with tomato, onions, bellpeppes, salt and pepper. It is not spicy, but it mixes well with the over easy eggs. Most of the places I go to overcook the eggs. I hate that. If I wanted hard boiled yolk, I would get a hard boiled egg. Yuck! This place was pretty good. They gave me the eggs just the way I like them, the tomato sauce was pefect, the plate comes with a side of refried beans, tortillas, and I believe cheese. I don’t quite remember if I ordered that on the side. I also ordered yucca con chicharon, which is yucca root, deep fried pork, and salvi curtido which is sort of like kimchi. Excellent, it comes garnished with tomato, cucumber and radishes. This is definitely the place to go for my salvi breakfast. It’s located in pacoima, family owned and full of salvis.
