A terrible dirty place that has oily disgusting food! The owners are so rude and awful. They refused to refund me!

Love this place! It’s the only alternative to mom’s home cooking! Pros: really good authentic Salvadorian food Cons: parking is horrible and it’s cash only Your best best is to pre order your food over the phone about 30– 45 minutes ahead of time depending on your order size. Whether you eat in or pick up they can be a little slow. But trust me it’s worth the wait! My favorite are cheese and loroco pupusas, the fried Yuka and chicharon plate, and the platanos fritos with beans and crema.

Bad service all around. I also found out the owners were charged with human trafficking last spring. Never going back to that place.

Meals take forever to be made but they are worth waiting for. I recommend you try their meal that comes with chicken, soup and rice. It’s healthy and makes you feel at home. Their pupusas are not to big or small but perfect size and tasty. Their crab soup is bomb and gives me childhood memories.

I’ve been coming here for years but I’ve pretty much had it with them. I’ve dealt with their shitty attitude because their food is usually so good. But now, aside from the whining, the constant mean grumpy looks, and just general rudeness from the owners, I find hairs in my food!!! Disgusting! And apparently — based on at least a couple other reviews here — this place(and its owners) is associated with human trafficking/slavery allegations! Time to find a new pupusa joint.

Food is And you know I love it Only reason it gets a 4 star is the parking lot is more packed than parking at EDC. And because when you call in to take out it can be surprisingly long. But other than that, this place reigns supreme for pupusas

I have never been treated like I was lucky to be served by them. I order my food over the phone when i got there, i was ignored. I asked if my food was ready and the lady that was cooking said to wait. but very rudely. I waited 10 more minutes and told her ma’am i have been waiting what is going on? her response was well you like the food you wait. WTF!!! i understand anyone can run a restaurant but not everyone knows how to treat people. I work in a big company and we use to order from them. NEVER again will we order from them.

The owners of this place have been charged with human trafficking, slavery of a young girl. See the CBS report here for yourself…

I used to eat here. Until the owners showed up on the local news. They allegedly smuggled an underage girl, from El Salvador, and kept her against her will to work at the restaurant. And she was only 11, didn’t attend school or even see a doctor. Anyways the food is okay, but I’d rather avoid patronizing a business who thinks it’s ok to own a slave. They even made her clean their apartment. Here’s the link

I have been coming here since I was a little girl and have been a loyal customer since. The parking situation kind of sucks but thats because its right by a gas station. On to the food… The pupusas are AMAZING! Best ever! So stuffed with very little masa. The platano frito frijoles y crema are bomb too! The horchata salvadoreña is delicious! Not too sweet but very flavorful! The curtido is my favorite! The owner of the place is a very Sweet older man and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his restaurant and The service is great too! All in all definitely worth a visit :))

First time eating pupusas and they are delish, and the owner here is really laid back. He served us personally and catered to our every need. Highly recommended if you’ve never tried salvadorian food!

Yes, the parking is horrible. Yes, you should definitely call 30 m. ahead with your order. And, yes, you will love these pupusas! I worked next door to Costa del Sol for years and ate there many, many times. The pupusas were consistently delicious and fresh. Don’t forget to try the drinks(ensalada, etc.) here; they are delicious and full of fruit. Buen provecho.

Best pupusas by far! I recommend ordering in advance to pick up or eat-in. The pupasa s are made to order and can take up to 40 mins to get them onto your table, if you show up without calling in advance. The ladies may appear rude but I honestly don’t believe they intentionally are… regardless, I don’t think you should take it personal. Again, best pupusas I’ve had! 5 stars for the food!

This place is the worst !!! Ok first lets start off with parking … Well there ain’t any. They have a gas station right next to it and like 20 other businesses so parking sucks ass. service sucks too! My mom and I went, ordered 5 popusas and I kid u not we waited for 45 minutes, I would have just walked out but since I paid with credit card I didn’t want to go through all the trouble, ok we got our order and off we go right? Wrong, well since there ain’t much parking some idiot decides to park right behind me, so now I have to look for this idiot so he can move his car so I can leave. Stay away from this place!!!

My review is for the pupusas in particular. The best I’ve ever had. None have compared! You won’t get your skinny small barely any beans/cheese/etc…NOPE! You’ll get big fat pupusas oozing cheese & beans. Ask for the«revueltas» and they add pork(chicharron)…omg…those are the best! If I order more than 10 pupusas I’ll order ahead because it can take 30 – 40 mins. The restaurant itself is kind of small and hole-in-the-wall but if you’re looking for some good pupusas then you won’t mind. There also isn’t much parking but if you don’t find any in the lot, park on the street. :)

This is my go-to pupusa place since what I’ve had in SCV is shit. I’ve had pupusas, yuca con chicarron, plantanos con crema y frijol, and the aguas frescas. Pupusa = masa(thick corn tortilla) with cheese, beans, and or pork inside. I love all combinations, but my fav is beans and cheese. They make them about 6 inches in diameter. Two is a very satisfying(and by that I mean gluttonous) meal. The curtido(pickled cabbage) here is really good. The good thing about curtido in general is that it tastes good whether its a day old or aged. The tomato sauce is good too. I *highly* recommend eating a pupusa with curtido and tomato sauce on top, otherwise it’s kinda boring and you are missing out. Yuca is fried cassava served with veggies, curtido, chicharron and tomato sauce. It was alright, I’ve had better at other places. Platanos(plantains) with salvadorian cream and beans, mmm so good. I only eat it with beans. Such a great combination of sweet and salty. Their drinks are standard. The owner(I think) is kind of grumpy, but in a way that makes me smile. I like him. The parking lot can be a pain in the ass. The area is a little on the questionable side, so don’t come after dark unless you are a thug like me and can handle it.
