Huge portions! The blackened chicken fajita salad is amazing! Local flair, no frills, just good food.

The burrito were wet which was not what I expected but delicious none the less. I ordered an asada burrito which was good but I sampled my boyfriends chicken burrito which is a must try! The chicken is the best meat there. We also ordered taquitos which were average but not bad.

Typical menu BUT prepared fresh using gourmet ingredients. Service is slightly slower but that is a good sign, freshly prepared food! Price is fair in this part of town. Tips is optional here which is not typical in this part of town. Location is convenient and parking is easy. I will sure stop by again soon!

Usually give 1 star reviews but I had to make an exception for this place. Tasty carne asada and fajitas at fair pricing. Formula for running a succesful restaurant = lots of food + low prices. We’ll be back.

This place is nothing fancy, but they have really good food! Highly recommend calling your order in and getting it to-go since there is not much room for sit-down dining. I haven’t tried a whole lot off the menu cause I always get the same thing: Blackened Chicken Burrito. It is the best thing ever! Love that each meal comes with chips, salsa and guacamole! Prices are reasonable too.

Michael’s has become a tradition for me. I live right down the street. I do my laundry next door almost every Sunday and always stop into Michael’s for dinner. A) I love supporting locally owned restaurants. B) VERY well priced for good quality. C) Blackened chicken sandwich is to.die.for! Staff is always friendly and the salsa is always tasty. I am also a huge fan of the taqueria and the 7 layer dip. Can’t go wrong here for some good, casual, local Mexican food.

Fantastic food great atmosphere. I love Michaels and go there whenever I have the chance. It’s reasonably priced and definitely the best Mexican food in pacific grove! I highly recommend this restaurant I bet you won’t be disappointed. I’m a big fan of the house burrito.

There are 2 things that make my rating a 5 star instead of a 4 star. The first is the customer service, simply put, outstanding. The staff is very friendly and very informative. The second reason is the price you pay for the quantity you receive. Great portions for a low price, you can’t beat that. The food is not exceptional but also doesn’t taste like it came from a freezer or was cooked in a microwave. If you haven’t been go check them out!

Michael’s is disgusting. No burrito for under $ 10 here, this restaurant is absolutely disgusting. I hope they go under. Can get a much better and cheaper burrito anywhere else. Don’t support them. Hope they go under soon.

Still damn good. Anything«blackened» on the menu is super tasty. You automatically get guac & two kinds of salsa, plus free chips, with your order. Not sure why the reviews didn’t transfer over when they moved a few a blocks to this location.

OMgoodness and priced so right. This is a locals gem. It is a JOINT. The ambiance and atmosphere is zip. Why? The food and servings are so good and plentiful, nobody cares. Monterey Bay favorite. Everything is good. My favorite on starving day is blackened shrimp quesadilla. Off charts yum. I ask for my taco shells steamed instead of fried. Most folks like fried. Not so hungry. Two item combo. I get tacos. Each taco comes with two large shells stuffed with fixins. I rearrange and make 4 tacos. I take two home or share. I like Carne asada, blackened shrimp or chicken. The enchiladas wonderful, too. Ask for extra enchilada sauce just because its wonderful. Need ocean view? Order to go, sit at beach and enjoy without cost of a tip.

The Ranch House quesadilla is good, their refried black beans are delicious, and unlike most Mexican restaurants in the area, they actually give you a fairly good-sized side of sour cream and guacamole.

Liked this place alot. Boyfriend is Latino, and he was unimpressed, but I thought the food was good and at a very good value. Ordered wet burrito with beans/rice/added avacado, and green tamatillo chicken plate. Salsa and chips were good, although I would have liked a spicer salsa option, it was nice the chips were warm. Pineapple water was sweet, but tasted like powdered juice. Overall, when we visit again I will come back, it’s yummy, filling, and inexpensive.

Hella bomb. Boyfriend had a house burrito and shrimp taco. I had a chicken taco and chili Verde enchilada. The kids shared nachos. They were super friendly and efficient. Nothing fancy, décor wise but they more than make up for it in good food at really great prices. My favorite things were the tacos.

Comfortable atmosphere, nothing fancy mind you, but I like it. Chips and salsa were a great start, really liked the salsa, reminded me of Progresso Tamale Shops salsa. From the reviews I had to try the blackened chicken, so I got the sandwich. Served on a hamburger bun and accompanied by fries, I have to say it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back to try more items.

Went here with a few friends before they went to the movies. Two of the four got their meals the other two had to take their meals to the movies. Forty minute wait for food and it wasn’t packed. My deal is my friends left for the movies didn’t touch their food and I asked for a salsa to go and they charged me 50 cents. Mind you, I will say the food once received was absolutely delicious and with each person they receive a salsa and a bowl of chips. Nice touch

The food was fresh. The service was good. The ambience was fine. It was all very blah though. With so many incredible Mexican and American/Mexican restaurants around I expect more flavor out of their freshly prepared dishes. The meats were good, but the sauces were very bland.

This food is Mexican food at its finest. I grew up with fresh Mexican food so I have a discriminating palate when it comes to this cuisine. And I have to say, Michael’s has knocked it out of the park in all areas-service, quality and flavor of the food! I had the carne asada tacos with rice and beans and was blown away at the flavor of each dish! The carne was tender and juicy; the rice was authentic and the beans well let’s just say I’d like the chef’s recipe! The prices are great! The staff are friendly! The place gets lots of customers which is proof of the quality! I highly recommend this place!
