Such painfully low standards for visitors and residents. Mohamed Amar truly puts the spin on business and community relations. With a $ 60 million dollar deficit in a town sitting next to the beauty and splendor of elegant Pebble Beach, one might believe that the LAST Home Town in America’s Chamber of Commerce might at least make and effort to promote integrity and transparency when endorsing or standing by businesses which exploit, degrade, and violate human decent standards. To read that their own police commander(now in prison) is no better than a common criminal and thief– no wonder when a guest in town has a horrible experience, the Chamber of Commerce does not address the matter with integrity or honor but keeps it business as usual as Pacific Grove becomes Bell, CA. Can someone keep the Congress Ave gate closed to keep the lines more clearly drawn? And can someone please not recommend neighboring towns to unsuspecting visitors. It’s astonishingly beautiful in Pacific Grove, however, one would not know it by their treatment of visitors and guests. The Last Home Town in America is not a place to recommend to family or friends. The Big Sur Marathon is over. At least Big Sur is not pretending it’s anything but beautiful. Exploiting visitors is pathetic, really. But it’s the best Pagrovians seem to want to do. Last indeed! In too many ways…

As an annual visitor to the Pacific Grove area, I would not expect to interact with this small, non-profit organization. Recently, due to a very unfortunate circumstance involving Public Works and the Police Station, I reached out for help. ‘Mo’ came to the rescue straight away. He assessed the situation, was very empathetic to my plight and took quick and direct steps to make the situation right. As a visitor next time I will make a trip here to go and shake the hand of this man. He is very kind, gracious and wise. It was a pleasure to deal with him.
