We have been here the third time now and we like to come back. It has a very beachy, earthy and free spirit interior. It kind of feels like you are taking a break in a hut at the side of a forest. The service is very nice, fast and has good recommendations. I can recommend this place for breakfast. Lunch is also very good. Although they don’t have a huge selection everything on the menu makes your mouth water ;) Do you know this feeling when the servers walk by your table with food that others order and you say«uh that looks good» 10 times in a row. You will definitely have this feeling here. They also have a very chill bar that I definitely want to check out soon. They do have heaters for the very cold winters in San Diego as well. Also I like one of their mottos: «Brunch without booze is just a sad late breakfast». It’s worth checking this place out for sure.

Hands down best brunch spot in San Diego. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Only place that I make sure I bring every person that visits me!

Amazing experience! Get here in time or else the wait can be long. Food is amazing! I had the Salmon Lox Bennie… and our group had Bloody Marys and Mimosas! Our server, Janeally, was so friendly and hilarious! Definitely made our experience :)

Recently checked out this spot a random Friday in January for brunch. Grace(cute, blonde, mid twenties) was our server and she was honestly amazing. My bf was visiting from Colorado & she represented SD very well with her welcoming attitude. Best service! You do seat yourself but Grace was over instantly to help us out. Our conversation was so good we skipped out on the brunch part & stuck to booze! Bloody Mary’s phenomenal! Ordered a bottle of champagne, fig mule & it all tasted great! Thanks again to our server! You made it all that better! :)

The food was decent, the atmosphere was decent. But the reason I give only 1 star is the EXPLODING ketchup bottle. Seriously. The ketchup bottle on our table exploded when I picked it up covering me and my food with ketchup. I had ketchup on every article of clothing on my body INCLUDING my hair. As soon as the waitress noticed, she said«Oh that happens sometimes when they sit in the sun». Well, maybe invest in glass bottle ketchup! The accident itself was annoying, but the most annoying thing was the lack of care or attention given by the staff there. And, the fact that they acknowledged that it was a regular occurrence. They ended up bringing a free desert, but I think a little more is in line when my entire outfit is covered in ketchup. Something like that will ruin a good meal faster than you can say«Pass the ketchup».

Amazing brunch… lobster and blue crab cake benedict & banana foster french toast were both so delicious! Locally made Ginger Kombucha topped it all off. Liz gave us great service & the atmosphere was really cute & relaxing. Fig Tree Café is definitely at the top of our list when visiting Pacific Beach!

How have I missed this little local gem??? Happy hour everyday from 2−4pm, which is 2 for 1 cocktails. :) The food is fantastic and the vibe is very cool. Laid back and great back patio, covered in greenery! The Soy Chorizo Scramble… so freaking good. My friends got Turkey Club and a green salad. Drinks were Blackberry Bliss, Antioxidant Mimosa, and my personal fave: Fig Ginger Mule. All were amazing. Spent a beautiful San Diego afternoon, on a lovely patio, drinking great drinks and eating great food. Color me happy(and full/tipsy).

Although the food here is superb, odds are pretty good your order will not come as ordered. And the service is very slow and at times you can feel abandoned. I’ve been here twice. Really good breakfast, usually takes two tries but its okay. Good coffee too.

We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. The place was not too busy and we got seated quickly. All seats are outdoors and it feels like you are sitting in a nice little garden of a friend, surrounded by trees and loads of greens. It certainly just some special, cool, hipster vibes to it. After we sat down, it took quite a while until a waiter took our order. The food is really very American and rather basic, don’t expect any fancy or daring creations. The Eggs Benedict presentation was just sad when it arrived. I really couldn’t feel the love here. The bread they were placed on tasted extremely dry and boring and was almost cold. The eggs themselves had very little egg yolk inside. Apparently the cook also forgot to add some flavoring on them. A true disappointment. The only good thing about the Eggs Benedict were the sides — I had rosemary potatoes which were super crunchy and fresh. Same goes for the omelette. Presentation was poor and the taste was simply boring. The little highlight were the blueberry pancakes. They were super fluffy and not too sweet. Unfortunately their poor tasting syrup pretty much ruined the experience. I was also disappointed about their coffee. Their roast tastes very ordinary and is nothing special. Their juices are not freshly hand squeezed either. I have really seen brunch places that do so much better than Fig Tree. Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Food: 2⁄5 Service: 2⁄5 Price/Value: 2⁄5

I truly love this place, from the tree house like patio, to the beachy casual feeling, the food, the service, and the coffee. I got the Atlantic Lox Omelette and it was just perfect. Salmon wasn’t over cooked, the asparagus was perfect(not adente), and cream cheese was soft and delicious. The potatoes were decent. The bombest vanilla coffee cake I ever had. They also have this side dish, the Man Candy my bestie ordered and it was so good. Pretty typical bacon with maple syrup, but they dash it with paprika which gave it a very yummy contrast. I love that they have energy boast shots. I took an Acai one and it definitely brighten my morning. I also had this coffee that was just lovely. I love black coffee for its integrity and this was a good medium blend. Overall legit spot. If I lived in Pacific Beach I’d be a regular.

It is my favorite spot in North PB area. The place is super welcoming and cost: sitting under trees in shadows has it’s secret touch. Breakfast menu is incredible: I like their yogurt granola and crab eggs Bene. Girls are awesome, very attentive and nice. On weekends this place gets packed, just make sure to be aware of it.

I WISH I COULDGIVETHEMTENSTARS. This place is THEBEST. Our waitress really made the day, but the kitchen service and drinks were there to back her up and make this a phenomenal experience. Yes — not just a café, an experience. Our group never got her name, but THANKYOUFIGTREEWAITRESS, YOU’RETHECHILLEST. For starters, there’s parking a plenty and the vibe is super chill in a way that’s both family-friendly and makes you want to drink too much during brunch at the same time. Okay, so the food was delicious. Our group ordered truffle fries and stuffed french toast for the table(of 5 of us) because we all wanted to try everything on the menu but could only do so if we had reinforcements a plenty. Verdict on food: My Crab Cake and Lobster Eggs Benedict was 92% perfect(8% withheld because the poached egg poke revealed a non-liquid-y inside), but still 100% delicious. The side of potatoes was incredible because our waitress urged us to ‘upgrade’ to the truffle, arugula version. A++ recommendation. The stuffed french toast was amazing, but potentially too sweet when taken alone as an entrée. Pancakes were good, but when you can get eggs bennie — go for that. As for drinks, we got there during happy hour(2−4pm) which was a wonderful surprise! We didn’t really understand it at the time, but we knew bellinis were 2 for the price of 1 so we ordered a bottle of mimosa ingredients for the table as well as individual bellinis. Realizing we were in the window of happiness, our waitress came out to us and told us about the 2-for-1 thing — which applied to the bottle of brut we had with fresh orange juice too! Of the white peach, pomegranate and lavender bellinis we tried — the Lavender stood out as the best — and most interesting. Overall it was the best of black fridays(None of us wanted to shop, instead we opted to brunch) ever. The food is great, drinks are wonderful, service couldn’t be better and the atmosphere is so damn chill. 1000% would go again. You should too.

Fig Tree is my favorite brunch spot in San Diego. There are locations in Pacific Beach and Point Loma(at Liberty Station). The Pacific Beach location has a wooden covered patio under a large tree. It’s very beautiful and peaceful. Pretty much everything on the menu is good. The lunch and brunch offerings are all quality. especially like the French toast, salads and of course, the coffee cake! The servers are friendly and efficient. They never rush me and offer to pour me coffee in a to-go cup for the road! There is no parking at the Pacific Beach location, so plan accordingly. I would recommend arriving a few minutes early to find a parking spot on the street. I will definitely be back to Fig Tree for some delicious brunch and would recommend it to all!

LOVED it! Went there for the fist time and absolutely loved everything about it. There’s no host, so you just grab a menu and sit yourself. The ambiance is adorable and very cozy, great for a date. It’s fairly big too, with an extra area on the back. I read some people complaining about flies but I honestly didn’t have this problem. We had a SA bringing us water right away once we sat ourselves and the waitress came right after. Great girl, very friendly and nice smile, too bad I forgot her name, but she wears glasses and has long dark hair. The lemonade a and orange juice came in a large mason jar, love the presentation. My friend had coffee and it’s a nice big mug as well. We ordered and got our food in less than 15 minutes. He had the Tuscan Benedict with an upgraded side of potatoes on arugula salad and Parmesan cheese. I don’t eat runny eggs but the presentation was fantastic. I tried the potatoes and OHMY! Deliciousness. Potato, arugula. Parmesan cheese, can’t go wrong. He said the food tastes delicious. We had a side of bacon that was cooked to perfection, crisp, delicious. I had the bananas foster French toast. BESTFRENCHTOAST I’VEEVERHAD! I mean, seriously tho, it’s like a huge dessert for breakfast. Sweet tooth unite! Delicious. Perfectly thick toast, amazing brown sugar sauce, lots of bananas. I ate most of it be fore I could even take a picture because it looked and tasted so good. Server came to check on us but didn’t bother us much because she knew we were having a good conversation, so kudos to her for that. Check came around $ 40 and man, it was worth it every penny. I can’t wait to get back and try the other items in their menu. Definitely recommend it!

I’ve been here on 3 occasions, my most recent was last weekend, and I figured it’s time to write a review. The first time was amazing, the second time was lackluster, but my most recent experience was really disappointing. My most recent experience was on a Saturday at 11am, prime brunch hour, surprisingly no long wait like my previous experiences so I had high hopes. They sat my party of 2 in front and I requested to sit in the back, which is furnished as if straight off a Pinterest board– very cute with a DIY feel to it. The hostess accommodated my request accordingly. FOOD: He got the breakfast sushi and I ordered the lobster Benedict on focaccia with tomato and avocado as recommended. We also shared the side of arugula potatoes. The breakfast sushi has a nice presentation, piles of rice with bacon wrapped around and plum sauce on top. However, the breakfast sushi is overall very bland. When ordering the breakfast sushi, you are primarily ordering for a large plate of bland rice that is just presented nicely. DONOTORDERTHEBREAKFASTSUSHI. I could also tell the lobster with my eggs benedict was not fresh, and they try to cover it up by frying it into a patty. I wasn’t fooled by this as I could taste the«fishiness.» The house special arugula potatoes that I’ve ordered in the past have somehow declined in quality. The potatoes were really oily and soggy. I took probably 4 bites of my meal before I just sat there poking my fork at it. SERVICE: Practically nonexistent. Our server was nice, but once he took our order and gave us the food, he did not check up on us. We had to wait until the end of our meal for refills on our water. It’s such a simple task for servers to come by to check if we need refills or anything, and it’s inexcusable to not do so. Never coming back here!

Fhak this place. If I had to go back I’d get a stuffed french toast which was okay. But their coffee like cup-o-joe is horrible. Tasted like cocaine gummies. The chicken sandwich was just disgusting. Tasted like processed garlic chicken. Avo was only on front #save10¢. I turned mine into a BLT. The breakfast burrito has a nasty wrap which I think is the most important part. Fries asked for crispy got soggy. Home fries are just potatoes… nothing else. I feel sick.

What a brisk day to have breakfast outside. Thanks to their cup of 100% organic coffee straight black, the cold chills were kept away and the rush of caffeine warmed my nerves and gave me that dose of happiness, illuminating my state of wakefulness. Street parking is the situation here, and I came around 9am. Plenty to go about, but surely would quite to find during peak times. The patio and dining setup has lots of foliage and I like the open air setup. Since it was cold today, make sure to dress accordingly. The coffee mugs look pretty cool. The server was quick, took my order, and the wait was short. The California eggs benedict was great. The turkey was not dry and the avocado gives the rest of the dish that sweet and creamy texture I look for. Focaccia bread instead of English muffin was a great detour without added cost. The eggs were poached properly and I liked how one pop from my fork created the pour of egg yolk onto my dish. The house potatoes were good but not spectacular. I used ketchup and tapatio sauce as a accompaniment to the potatoes. Next time I would like to try their French toast. Coffee really helped out cope such a windy yet beautiful morning.

The last experience I had at Fig Tree was amazing. I brought my sister and her boyfriend here for a leisurely brunch after noon on a Friday. Street parking is easier to find in North PB, so you probably can find a place fairly close by. We had our choice of seats in a fairly empty restaurant and chose the big circle booth in the front right corner. You feel like you’re in a big tree house because this restaurant is built to incorporate the trees that were on the lot before they moved in. This gives you a very serene and intimate feel. Our waitress was attentive and funny. She told us this terrifying story about recent shark attacks and then calmed our nerves with the mimosas and bloody Mary that we ordered. We opted for the deluxe version with the man candy and shrimp and it was worth it! For entrees, we ordered 3 things and split between the 3 of us. The pesto meatloaf hash is a must order any time you come here. I’ve been wanting to try the soy chorizo scramble for a long time, and it was also amazing. Because it’s soy and not meat, there was no grease and for the meat lovers out there — order with confidence because you wouldn’t even guess that this was meatless. We also had the fig ricotta stuff french toast. This dish knocked it out of the park. I would say this is the trifecta of things to order, the be all and end all. None of these disappoint. We had an great time and I think it was because not only was our waitress amazing, but because it wasn’t very busy. The food and atmosphere was perfect and I have never left brunch in a better mood. One star deducted because I have been here prior on a busy Saturday at prime time and the experience with service and the time from ordering to receiving food was pretty bad. I’m hoping to come back soon and see if they can continue to deliver the same good experience I had recently.

The wait was about 15 minutes. Not too bad. theres neighborhood parking. It’s outdoor seating. Which means if it’s hot, it’s HOT. And there are flies everywhere. There were no fans so we were just sweating like crazy! ur food wait was ridiculous and they took for ever to get us our waters and even taking our bill was a long wait. I ordered a surf and turf Bloody Mary and I couldn’t drink more than a sip because all I tasted was pepper. It made me choke. I ordered the lobster omelet which I thought was okay. The avocado didn’t go well with the lobster. I did however love the potatoes. I was a little disappointed that they don’t have has Browns but I did like the potatoes. Overall the food was decent. I just really didn’t enjoy the heat and service so that’s why It’s a 2 for me.

Came here on a Saturday morning and there was about a 30 minute wait which wasn’t too bad. Since the restaurant is in the back it was a little hard to find it but after walking around for awhile I was able to find it. As soon as we sat down we got service right always which was nice! The waitress was really friendly and got our drinks right away. It took a while to decide what we wanted to order since there were so many good options on the menu. I decided to order the French toast with strawberries and cream along with some bacon that they call man candy. It’s bacon cooked in brown sugar so it’s extra sweet. The French toast was actually really good and adding the strawberries and cream was a very good touch. It was definitely filling and sweet but not too sweet so that was nice. I would totally come back to try a few other things in the menu that looked really good!
