After a long and fun night of partying, a couple of my friends and I decided to come here. We were in and out pretty fast. There were 5 of us & we we’re placed in a booth but since there wasn’t enough space, the manager and another young man brought over another table along with a chair, which was nice of them. We were also brought water upon us settling down. The waitress was nice but she didn’t seem interested. The food was great! I got the 10 pcs starter which included 3 mozzarella sticks, 3 chicken tenders, and 4 buffalo wings. The wings weren’t buffalo wings, they were classic but that wasn’t a big deal. I just asked for hot sauce. Besides that, the food was fresh and hot. The chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks were awesome! The platters came to the table very presentable.

Agnieshka was our waitress, very nice and friendly. As we sat we were served complimentary cole slaw and a pickle. Good. The slaw coarse and creamy, the pickle crisp, cool and delightfully sour. We felt like sandwich night. I opted for a Chicken Salad & Bacon Triple Decker, substituted French Fries for a side salad. The Chicken Salad was kind of bland. Some seasoning with salt and pepper did the job. The bacon was crispy. Lettuce and tomato crisp and very fresh. The side salad perfect, Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, and Red Onions came with a side of creamy garlic dressing. The BLT standard. Too much lettuce on the sandwich. Nice firm tomato. The bread a bit too dark(toasted) for my taste. We capped the night sharing Bread Pudding a super generous size of moist pudding. You can taste the cinnamon. As the spoon goes deeper into the whipped cream and pudding, the bottom is vanilla custard like with golden raisings. Delicious. The espresso was bland. Atmosphere pleasant and the fact it’s open 24⁄7 is a plus. Plenty parking available.

The food is excellent. I have had problems with two of the female waitresses especially the old one with her boobs hanging out who does a lot of sitting by the counter when not in action n she aint in action often. The thin older lady from long island is a great waitress the fat older lady who just sits near the kitchen on break all the time is a bad waitress too

I’ve been coming here to eat ever since I was a kid and it’s probably one of my favorite places. Everyone here is so attentive and the food is delicious. The waiting time isn’t bad and food is always served fresh. Best part is that they’re 24hrs and inexpensive. I recommend everyone to come and try it out!

Waitress wasn’t very nice.(Woman, maybe in her 60s, short blond hair) For one thing, her tone of voice was very sharp and uninviting. My boyfriend ordered 3 things & she literally told him«ok that’s good.» She brought our food & walked away not caring if we needed anything or if everything was ok. She didn’t come back to check on us at all. Every time we tried to get her attention, she avoided eye contact. When taking the hot sauce from us to give to another table she just took it and left. With her paying such great attention to the table next to us, I wasn’t pleased by any means. Food was good though, average diner food.

Best local diner. Food is fast. They customize anything you ask for. Open 24⁄7 and not expensive. Their pancakes rival IHOP a few blocks away. Can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience with Esquire and I’ve been coming here for the last 20+ years.

Now, this was one of my favorite neighborhood places to be. However, for the past few years the venue has dropped to below par. I was there for breakfast, the guy(not my server) dropped the cup with hot water for my tea so hard on the table that it spilled over. When my server finally got around to taking my order, she was a bit rude. I asked for another plate which when handed to me was dirty. My waitress never came around to ask if everything was ok, which personally I think is bad customer service. Needless to say — I won’t be coming back and neither would I recommend.

This place was terrible. ordered a pastrami panini. and it came out as skirt steak all greasy wrapped in pita bread. first off that is not a panini! Number 2 pastrami is supposed to be thinly sliced. and the server look like a 70s scumbag character out of Donnie Brasco or something never again! Stickin with crossbay diner down the street! !!!

I don’t cook, so I eat in a lot of diners and restaurants. I’ve eaten burger, fries and brown gravy from Rhode Island all the way to Florida, and I have never had to pay for an once or two of brown gravy on the side. $ 1.50 is just insulting for a tiny flat saucer of gravy. And it wasn’t even warmed. I had to sent it back to be nuked. Then my GF and I were killing time(1AM). I asked for a coffee refill. I was informed that I only get one free refill, and If I wanted another cup, I’d have to pay. Again, never had a limitation on coffee in a diner. Especially if they’re using tiny 5oz tea cups like the Esquire. We mentioned our opinions to the overnight manager. He just shrugged and said those are the owner’s rules. This isn’t the first time we’ve been nickeled and dimed at this diner. Last year we had an argument with the night manager over an $ 18 charge for a chicken cutlet on a bed of iceberg lettuce. NOT a Greek or garden, or Caesar or even a tossed salad) A SIMPLEBEDOFICEBERG…$ 18. Same thing, Night manager said they had to bill it as Chicken Caesar Salad, that’s the way the owners want it. So that’s it. We’ll just continue to go to the Classic or the Atlantic and Gino’s or Flagship after hours. It’s to bad too, The Esquire is directly across the street from our house.

After a really long red-eye flight, I had a hankering for something greasy and tasty. Off to Esquire Diner I went and I succumbed to my desires. I truly would’ve eaten anything at that moment, so it’s no surprise I found my sweet potato fries delectable. I scarfed those things down like a pack of hungry hyenas, and was left with nothing but an empty plate when I remembered to take a picture for Unilocal. My husband, brother, and cousin that accompanied me on my diner run weren’t as impressed. My husband and brother ordered cheeseburgers that were just«okay» and my cousin ordered challah French toast that could be described as average. Nothing was really good enough to write home about. The take-away– point from this review is that Esquire Diner is a good place to grab some average diner food on a late night. Servers are really nice, too.

The food was okay. I just have problems with my server. 1) She did not take my order right. I asked for Greek Feta burger sliders with bacon and FRIED onions. She came back with a big bacon cheese burger with soggy onions and tomatoes and lettuce. Where were my sliders and fried onions. I also asked for chipotle mayo. My burger had NO sauce. What the hell. Who eats a burger from a diner that’s dry? 2) The pickles smelled like that came from a sewer. 3) She came once to the table to bring our food. A BUSBOY came twice to ask how’s everything. She treated my table as if she wasn’t going to get a good tip. And I am a great tipper. I worked in the restaurant industry for 3 years. And although she was the worst server ever, I gave her $ 7. Could of been more, if only she was nice. The only thing good was the waffle fries. The only time I would come back here is probably to use the bathroom… Not even.

This diner is one of my favorite in the area. The food is a bit better than the rest, but nothing beats their service. There are people who have been working here for years who make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Not sure if you should go out of your way to eat here as most diner’s in the area pretty much serve the same food as well as how they are prepared(and this is my favorite diner!). If you are in the area, it’s worth the trouble of parking.

It’s open 24⁄7. Convenient when your out late nights. Just wish the parking lot was bigger and wider. The service has always been good I find. The food is decent! Love their mozzarella sticks! I usually have their breakfast.

Always have a pizza burger when I go to a diner and this had to be one of the worst pizza burgers I have ever had. Burger was very greasy and sauce was not good at all.

Its a Decent diner. More like a 3.5 star type joint but what the hell I will give them 4. Honestly nothing out of the ordinary that you would not find at other diners. I had the vege egg with toast and coffee and it was legit. Nice place to chill for breakfast. Would definitely come back if I was in the area but I would not go out of my way to come here.

Really not a fan of this diner. The parking lot is very narrow and awkward. The few times I’ve been there, there’s always been a senior citizen trying to park and ended up hitting someone’s car. The inside of the diner itself is narrow and someone always bumps into your table while you’re eating. Annoying. The wait staff is not very friendly, the food is mediocre and overpriced and there’s always a long wait for a table. I will stick to Atlantic Diner.

There aren’t a lot of options out here, so it’s surprising that the Esquire Diner is so awesome. The food is diner food. It felt like everyone else knew everyone else. The staff was super nice. I got greek sliders and felt really good about that choice.
