Elizabeth Avaricio, MD PLLC

Went here based on good reviews and 5 stars. My first impression was good. The two receptionist at front desks were pleasant. Waiting room was clean and spacious. All the staff nurses/​assistants are young woman who all seemed pleasant and friendly. We was greeted with smiles from all. The assistant introduced herself when I told her it’s our first time and explained to me on their whole process and gave me all the Drs contact info Which I can call anytime if needed. which I especially liked. The dr herself was very pleasant and friendly. She was thorough and My 5yr old felt comfortable with her and liked her which was most important to me. They also have another section on other side for the real sick children so their not in contact with General population.

Dr. Avaricio is excellent. She was recommended to me by a neighbor and I’m glad we selected her. We interviewed her while I was pregnant and she seemed very nice. My son is now 5 months old and he’s seen her since he was born. She has an absolutely amazing bedside manner and is very engaged with my son. Her compassion and care can be felt when she talks to you. She has 3 small children of her own and can easily relate to the concerns of the parent.
I have gone in for several last minute visits, called multiple times and even called her after hours once. She is always very patient and understanding. My son loves her and smiles and coos whenever he sees her. She is very knowledgable and is open to my thoughts even if it doesn’t follow the ‘norm’. She answers all of my questions and I never feel rushed.
Her office has a healthy and sick side so the children are separated and the staff is very friendly. You can tell everyone that works there really care about their work and their children which is great.
I would highly recommend her.

I’ll start with the bad and end with the good.
The wait to see Dr. Avaricio is absolutely ridiculous! I’ve been there 3 times and I’ve waited over 90 mins each time to see her. I am not sure why their time management is so bad but I find it unacceptable, especially since I’m there with an infant who is getting fussy, sleepy, hungry, etc.
I am hoping this is not a regular occurrence but the heat was also not working on a 3 degree day outside. My poor child was wrapped up in a fleece onesie, blanket, hat, etc. to stay warm. They didn’t even put a portable heater outside for the patients, especially the kids.
With all that said however, Dr. Avaricio is a wonderful doctor! Once she finally appears in your room, she takes her time with answering questions, does research on medications you may be wondering about, and makes you feel comfortable. Her staff is also friendly.

My son has been seeing Dr Avaricio for the past 7 years. She is gentle and compassionate and will do whatever she can to make him feel at ease. If I call her service even during the middle of the night with an emergency I always get a call back within a few minutes. I could not think of a better doctor to be taking care of him.
