TGI Friday’s

Horrible bar tender. Counting system is way off. Paid $ 15.31 for one very weak margarita. Mainly juce and ice. Do not come for a top shelf margarita, you will be charged for a half a shot of tequila and juice!

My boyfriend and I come here every weekend. We love it here. Awesome friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. My boyfriends favorite is the chili con queso dip. Which they no longer carry. BOOO! :(and the jack Daniels burger or Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta.
My favs are jack Daniels steak and the pamesian crusted chicken yummmm.

I was very impressed with the service. Whitney is an excellent server. I had the Dragon Fire Chicken, which was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Bruschetta Chicken and loved every bite. Go here for good food and service, I did.

Been here a few times to dine and wasn’t very happy with the food service and the food itself. I had ordered potato skins, a sizzling chicken platter, and a burger throughout the spread of times I’ve come. Each time being disappointed by overcooked and dry food! As far as the bar is concerned, I do come back for the good drinks and excellent service by the bartenders. Always having a good time at the bar ;)

This place needs a serious makeover, very tacky environment. When I first arrived I waited at least 15 minutes to find someone that even worked there. The host then came and she wasn’t very nice. I got the Hawaiian martini, was good, they make their drinks pretty strong. A+ for the bartender who was taking care of us. However they should hire waiters for the bar area. Slow service, but understood due to the lack of staff. Probably would not come here again unless it’s seriously redone and service is better.

On the way home from CIF Preliminaries in Moorpark, the family decided to stop at the TGI Friday’s in Oxnard. The wait was minimal, despite it being a Friday night. Our waitress was simply delightful. She was friendly and exuberant. Recommended a few items and assisted with making sure my daughter received a gluten free meal. The food was delicious and happy hour pricing made it a terrific value as well.

The food is tasty, service is good also, especially like the Barbecue chicken flatbread.

Never again! Waited 2 hours for our food and once it arrived the food was cold. I wasn’t going to send it back because I would of been there an additional 2 hours. I returned it and refused to pay for it. This place is a joke!

It’s been about a year since I went here and nothing has changed. I was hoping things would have changed but Nope. When I asked to take my pretzel sticks and cheese home the server said I’ll box that up for you. I had one pretzel and dipped a few times in the sauce. I said ok but I’d like more cheese please. Said it would be an extra $ 2 bucks. Ok. I take my food and go out to the car and I’m left with what I originally had in cheese sauce. So I go back in and he tries to tell me that he put the rest of it in there and they made more and that’s what filled it up. Please I wasn’t born yesterday I can tell when I’m being ripped off. I’ll continue my service at Chilis for now on

Walked in and the hostess was a bit rude not very welcoming. Also set up our tables in a awkward position, the service wasn’t all that great. The hostess didn’t even seat us at our table she just said your table is ready and walked away. RUDE!

Got the four stars because of the service, though, the food was really good also. Too often people want to write a review as a complaint, or call the establishment to complain, but I try to also comment when there is a positive. My boyfriend and I had a late lunch in the bar area of the TGIF Oxnard last Friday (no pun intended) and our server, Jordan, was the best. He was so friendly, pleasant and helpful. Never rushed us, made several suggestions, and overall such a pleasure. He actually seemed to enjoy his job. Nice smile and wonderful attitude. In this day and age, it’s truly a marvelous experience to have someone like this wait on your table. Friday’s should reward this young man with at least a «good job» comment. Thank you TGIF for employing nice people like this young man. Keep up the good work.

I have never had a bad experience here. We got a kids meal for free with an adult entrée on Monday! Also, Angela who was our server was very nice and attentive! People like her is what makes us coming back. Thank you Angela!

I called at 8:25 pm on a Tuesday to verify what time happy hour starts and the lady said «from now till closing» so I walk in at 8:30 pm (5 minutes later) they tell me then, it doesn’t start until 9 pm. What’s the point in calling ahead when you get incorrect information !? Staff needs to get the times right.

Okay so first off. I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! TGI Fridays is one of my fave restaurants! I’ve been to many of them! I was sooo thrilled to take my grandparents out for dinner the other night. and they hated it. I couldn’t blame them it was horrible! In no way like any other I’ve ever been too and I promise I’ve been to like 10 different ones! First off our waitress was horrible, she clearly had an attitude. on top of that didn’t tell us any of the specials and we ended up ordering two of them not even knowing they were like 50 percent off the regular price… the food was horrible! And looked horrible. portions OMG like nothing on your damn plate! My broccoli was overlooked .my steak was overcooked! Mashed potatoes were clearly boxed potatoes or tasted just like them! The best thing was dessert. That brownie with ice cream was heaven on Earth. My grandfather had salmon with a mango salsa on it and he didn’t like it… my grandmother had the Mahi-​mahi which looked amazing in the pic and nothing like it in person I MEAN NOT EVEN CLOSE! And was literally like 2 bites! If I could give this restaurant a 0 I would! I will never go here again. hard to believe it’s a TGIF smh! Sooooo disappointed!

My girlfriend and I went here today for lunch. We were still kind of full from holiday dinners/​snacks so we decided to order a random selection of appetizers instead of full meals. The fact that we went on a Sunday and happy hour was effective all-​day may have swayed our decision… half-​off almost all appetizers and great drink prices. We ordered the sesame Jack chicken strips, spinach Florentine flat bread, and the Tuscan spinach dip. Everything was VERY delicious!
I got a tall 20oz beer and we shared the 3 appetizers for slightly over $ 20. It seemed like a really good deal, and we are excited to go back soon.
The service was great, there was a waitress and another young guy that was always there to refill water and/​or make sure we were doing okay.
Their menu had so many options that it would be difficult to try everything, but I like that there is something for everyone.
The only thing I didn’t like was getting to and from this restaurant. (Let me just make it clear, this is NOT the resuarant’s fault). the parking lot was ghetto. I think it is because there are too many stores (including the worst WalMart in the history of mankind in the same parking lot). The intersection to get out of the place was BAD. I saw almost 2 car accidents in 2 minutes in the 5-​way intersection to get out.
Good job TGIF! Too bad Walmart exists.

Terrible service!!! This place really needs big improvement! Ive been seating here for an hour. Our server is nowhere to be found. I had to ask for another drink from the bartender!
I’ll just take my money elsewhere!

I see this place has a lot of bad reviews… May experience might be different because I go at a non busy time… either way here we go.
Upon walking in I’ve always been greeted. I usually go to the bar area.
I’ve had a lot of things on the menu here and this isn’t going to be a long review. Why you ask? well… it is just TGI Friday’s so what’s there really to write about? lol we all know how the food tastes. We all know what to expect. What I WILL write about is the service and cleanliness.
The service has extremely slow. I feel sometimes they completely forget someones even there. Other times it’ll be great… but more slow and inconsistent than it is great.
Cleanliness… I noticed 2 – 3 tables that weren’t even cleaned yet the entire time I was there. And I was there for about an hour. And this has happened far more than once.
It seems to me the issue here is the management team. I noticed the bar tender and a server in the back of the bar flipping glasses for fun and dropping them (one broke) and all they did was laugh. Sorry but… management needs to seriously take over. And or the owner needs to come to his franchise more often and really keep an eye on it.
I get it you own a franchise and you just let it make it’s money without giving much thought to it. That’s great and all but it won’t last much longer if you don’t take charge of your business and hire proper staff.
The food? never had an issue it’s always tasted like every other TGIF.
Anyways… I’d recommend this place if you just want a quick lunch special or some drinks. Other than that… It gets loud and obnoxious in here with 50 million kids running around and servers that forget you even exist.

Wow, what a disappointment. Ordered a Jack Daniels ribeye & a plain ribeye comes out. Waitress «A» takes it away and brings out a J.D. ribeye that is room temperature. She let my soda get empty. The manager came out & apologized for the mix up on the steak. He offered me a dessert, but I didn’t want one tonight. He refilled my drink and gave me 2 cards for a free appetizer or dessert. Then the waitress brings me my check when I still have over half of my food or my plate. I hope service improves here.

Went for lunch on a Thursday and nothing went right. My wife ordered a burger that had jalapeños on it– however when it came it had no jalapeños.
I watched our server at the other table and he was getting a lady a water refill and came carrying 1 glass when he reached our table and asked if we needing anything– my wife asked for a refill of her water and the server took her glass. He was now carrying 2 glasses from 2 different tables– he fills them both up with water and then walks away from the beverage station. What are the chances he remembered which drink belonged to who? He then dropped off our water and it was actually the other tables water so my wife did not drink it.
I went to the restroom and it was disgusting. Graffiti/​tagging all over the windows and paper towel dispenser. Are toilet seat covers expensive? There was so much graffiti on the toilet seat it looked like a small novel. The bathroom was also dirty and had trash everywhere.
This was a horrible dining experience and I will never go back to this location again.

If I could give a lower star I would give a 0.1.
Waiter was making out with his girlfriend at a bar table in between the seldom check ups.
The food is WAY over priced and taste is very very lack luster and there are no sides with anything.
I will attach the SADEST Cobb salad I have ever seen in my life, and it cost $ 10!
Please don’t waste your time or your money, there is a dozen other places to go near here. Don’t even risk it.
