Love this little gem family owned sometimes u can catch their grandkids there singing along w the music machine. I’m addicted to the shrimp tostada huge pieces of shrimp avocado and cucumber big enough for two tostadas I usually do the enchiladas so cheesy and yummy. Best part about this place is the seafood great place for oysters and shrimp cocktails. Don’t be turned off by the size or location. Lived in port Hueneme my whole life I know good Mexican food

Great breakfast as always. My husband is obsessed with the chicken enchiladas with 2 eggs. I love their jeuves Ranchero with their special Verde sauce. Homemade corn tortillas to die for. And we had some of their champurrado recently. Delicious!!!

Couldn’t find it, but when found there is no going back. Everything is absolutely fresh and amazing. From the seafood all the way to the jamaica. Definitely coming back when I visit Oxnard again.

Charged me additional 4% for using a credit card without notifying me first. Two costumers who got there after me got their orders first excused I got was that it was easier to make their order. Won’t be coming back here.

I was not sure what to expect nor if I was going to like the food. The service was great, the food tasted home made and the place was clean from the moment you arrive. I hate dirty restrooms, but they keep it clean and tidy. .no gross factor.
They start you off with some xhips and tasty salsa, their Horchata is home made and made with real rice not junky cap you get else where. My mom had the tortas de camarón for lent and I had the chile’s rellenos, and I can tell you the portions were well served and the food was quite tasty. Thanks las playas for a nice experience and for leaving our tummies content.

It took us a while to get here and the place is really easy to miss. Its in a shopping center on the corner side hidden. The joint is really small but right away as soon as we got there we were greated and we felt right at home. We ordered 1 dz oysters and 2 caldos de camaron con pulpo. It was all amazingly good. the octopus was cooked to perfection. Extremely soft and flavorful. They had a TV playing 1980’s era Mexican comedy movies. We will definitely be going back.

Don’t let the place confuse you, the place is the best authentic Mexican place and the people are so awesome. The place is clean and the way they make the food it’s clean. The seRvings are hefty big and it’s quality bang for your buck.
The guacamole is yummy… be back here for sure!
*I’m not really a Mexican food enthusiast but my hubby does and this restaurant convinced me I was back in time warp eating a home made Mexican food (comforting).

Fantastic! The best Mexican food I’ve had since I traveled in Mexico. Homemade tortillas and salsas that are heavenly! Burritos are delicious. Caldos are savory. Very strongly recommend!
