This place is terrible! Worst service ever. Walked in and waited to be seated and they just ignored our group and couple of groups of Chinese students so we waited and asked to be seated and they ignored us so we walked out and left. Go to Pham shin! Better food and staff!

In search of a Chinese restaurant for my son, we came here. The Peking dumpling was disappointing. I think they might have frozen their dumplings and the skin had freezer burn. But the Sichuan beef and eggplant with shiang sauce was very good. Although they state it is spicy, it isn’t. The beef dish was flavorful and sweet. The eggplant was terrific. Although the shiitake mushrooms absorbed too much salt, the eggplant was incredibly flavorful. They also are not shy about using fesh garlic. Service was slow, but they were friendly. Their English is poor, so be patient when trying to understand them. My rating is based on what is available in the area.

Ordering is a nightmare – they actually once handed the phone to a customer because literally no one there spoke English – but the food is incredible. Get the lo mein. You will not be disappointed.

Love this restaurant. Been there 3 times and. got delivery once. It’s owned and run by a single. couple I believe, and they do a fantastic job! The food is authentic, and though the restaurant normally is t busy, we went once when it was packed and although they wer e a bit chaotic– food was still fast and delicious. Like I said, good authentic food(they have a Chinese American menu and a Chinese authentic menu).

OK, I’m taking Yum Yum down a star. I hate to do this, but I must. Here’s why: While it’s still good, they started to put ICEBERGLETTUCE in the Chow Fun instead of bok choy. Really? Not so sure about that. And I’ve gotten brown Chou Fun noodles a few times(that means old, sitting around the kitchen). Also the amount of protiens in the dishes seems to fluctuate wildy(from LOTS of shrimp or chicken to just A LITTLE). And the shredded potato with peppers seems to be more steamed than stir-fried of late, so less flavor than previous iterations. And while I would NEVER rate a restaurant by the quality of the«fortune cookies», there’s seem to have gone down, and gotten stale(and no they are not the alternate style of cookie. just old). It’s really about CONSISTENCY: It depends upon what day you show up whether food will be fresh, orders will be timely, or ingredients will be par. Not good. Hope they fix this.

I would be care full here… The last time we ate here the staff don’t wash there hands and touch our food with bare hands… The construction workers sitting across from us ask if we saw them do that also… After we left it is weird that everyone in our party had to go to the bathroom as soon as we got back… With this being said… EATATYOUROWNRISK… YOUHAVEBEENWARNED…

This is a great place for both authentic Chinese and Americanized Asian food. Service is always great.

Yum yum? More like sub par. It wasn’t very good — my friend rice was marginal at best, the sesame chicken was covered in sticky syrup and don’t even get me started on the veggies. My broccoli was clearly steamed and YELLOW. Definitely not worth the $ 13 I paid. Other options in Oxford for Asian food are much better. Do have to say though, the service was good!

This is by far one of the best Chinese food places in the Greater Cincinnati area. I am not sure which specific region this food is from, but wherever it is, I like the«home-cooked» taste. There are 2 parts to the menu 1) American Chinese and 2) Authentic Chinese… I have only gotten food from the 2nd half of the menu and I’ve never been disappointed! I love their congee(both the fish one or the pork one with century eggs), love the cumin lamb, SamSun(fried potatoes, eggplant and another veggie), the tofu dishes… all in all if you want chinese food, this is the place to go around here! The staff is very friendly and personable, making us feel comfortable whenever we go in or order for delivery. Really nice experience. The other two places in town doesn’t even compare either by taste or by ‘staff friendliness’. —UPDATE — - Okay staff is really friendly, but wait time… especially if you order for delivery tends towards ridiculousness. Given my other options(taste/friendliness-wise) in town though, I would still choose Yum Yum over the others

I think it is the best Chinese food in Oxford. The Shrimp lo mein and fried dumplings are my favorite. The employees are very nice. You will get a good amount of food for your money. They deliver too!

5 colleagues and I came here for lunch. We ordered: Salt and pepper crusted fish Spicy tofu with sliced pork Mushrooms on a bed of greens Cumin lamb Eggplant casserole Chick stir-fried in garlic sauce Among the group of 6: One Chinese guy, one Taiwanese guy, and four Americans. We all loved every single dish. The staff was attentive and very helpful. Their dishes are very authentic.

Excellent items in their special authentic side of the menu. I had the Sichuan beef casserole, which was absolutely delicious. Hopefully one day they will expand on the authentic side more and slowly ditch the Americanized stuff that shrouds most of the menu.

We called in a take out order yesterday for dinner. The lady on the phone was pleasant and told us the food would be ready in 25 – 30. Upon arrival, we were told that the order had not yet reached the kitchen and that there were at least 8 orders ahead of ours. While it is perfectly understandable for a restaurant to experience a heavy dinner rush(especially because it was family weekend after a home football game), the staff should be more realistic about the wait times. We ended up canceling our order and dining elsewhere. Side note: Previous reviews for Yum Yum seem to be questionable.
