Love this place! They were incredibly busy with carry out orders, but took excellent care of me as the only customer eating in the place. I had Kung Bao chicken and it was tasty.

Outside of the food being average, staff is extremely rude. Ordered and when the food arrived it was missing two items. Called back and instead of working with me(the customer) like normal person would, I was given a lesson about how I ordered wrong and what I Didn’t do correctly. I hung up as I was at such a loss for words. Poor customer service and Not willing to help

Definitely my go to spot in Owings Mills. Never had a problem with the food or service –dining in or take out. Will continue to order food from Fortune China.

The food here is very tasty. We ordered for a team builder at work which we did Chinese buffet style. The chicken with Chinese vegetables and shrimp fried rice is really outstanding. The only dish we had which I was not a big fan of was the pad Thai. It tastes like it had ketchup in it. Despite that fact, the food was very fresh and delicious. Our entire team enjoyed it very much.

Originally I though this was just like every other Chinese carryout. One day I was pleasantly surprised to go in one day and find a full service resturant, complete with daily specials. The sushi is great and the gyoza is my favorite!

The service is fantastic here. Our waiter was wonderful and we got our food quickly. We loved everything we ordered and got tea and ice cream as part of our meal. We have been here several times and it is inexpensive and delicious. Our favorite Chinese place in the area!

Food: While hot and fast, it really didn’t have much flavor. The crab wontons were really bland and too greasy. The sweet and sour chicken, tasted more like cardboard than chicken. I wasn’t a fan. Customer service: This is the only reason I gave it 2 stars as opposed to just one. They were friendly and attentive. They got this part right. They should work on the food though.

This is my second order from this place. Both times the sushi was good. I ordered crab wontons and omg I but a shell?! I’ll stick with the sushi since they seems to be the only one that delivers sushi over here. I didn’t like the miso soup but it was my first time probably will be my last. Too fishy for me. I’m a hot and sour kind of lady

TERRIBLE !!! OCTOBER2014 !!! The food was cold and the owner did not care. I would rate them a zero if I could. Been going there for years and years but I am officially done. The portions were small, the food was not good, ie: chewy chicken as my son referred to it as bubble gum. I expect them to go out of business soon with new competition moving into that area unless they start improving the quality of meats, service, and ownership

The food is fair, but the service??? Ordered take-out. When I got it home the soup container was split at the bottom spilled into the plastic bag. I called them about it they did say bring it in for a refund. I mentioned that being as it was their container and poor packaging it would be appreciated if they would send a replacement and I’d give the driver the split container so they could see for themselves. It was a very hot day and I’m less than five minutes from them. This would have been a decent gesture for a customer who has not only patronized them but once had a large party book a reservation there. The jerk on the phone, who I believe was probably the owner, no less than a manager, seemed more intent on rushing me off the phone.

As far as the food goes, I’ve had mixed experiences. The Salmon Teriyaki was good, plenty of meat. But when I tried the Steak Teriyaki, the steak was thin, overcooked, tough, and skimpy in portion. I was expecting a filet mignon as described in the menu. In general, I found this restaurant to be overly expensive as Chinese restaurants go. On my first visit, I thought that something was wrong with the check. It seemed to me that I was being charged a dollar or two more than what was listed on the menu, but I could not be sure since the menu was no longer at the table. So, on my second visit I ordered a glass of wine which on the menu was listed at $ 2.50. When my check arrived, I was charged $ 3.50 for the wine.

I was disappointed with my experience at Fortune China. My wife and I are new to the area and ordered a variety of dishes for delivery. None of them were up to snuff. The shrimp and vegetable tempora were soggy, and the dipping sauce had little flavor besides salt. We had one maki roll, shrimp of some kind; this was the only of our meal that my wife enjoyed, calling it okay. The vegetable fried rice was also bland, and lacked any kind of texture. The fried wanton appetizer, a standard in my book, was good.

One of the better Chinese/Japanese takeout places in the area. We came here on a recent snowy Saturday night, since it’s like half a mile away. We picked up Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, a soft shell crab roll, and a thing of Chinese donuts. Both the orange and sesame chicken were good, and we had a bunch of leftovers for the next day. Soft shell crab rolls are my favorite and the one here didn’t disappoint. The Chinese donuts were of course good, because it would be extremely difficult to mess up fried dough and sugar. This will probably be our go-to takeout place for Chinese/sushi, but, as Miriam B. mentioned, the inside of the restaurant is nice as well, so, good for either take-out or dining-in. Pretty sure they deliver as well.

What a lovely Chinese/Japanese restaurant hidden away in a local strip mall. I had won ton soup in a golden chicken broth. My date had the miso soup. They both were warn and very satisfying. For appetizers we shared the pu pu platter. Which consisted of an egg roll, shrimp toasts, crab Rangoon, BBQ spare ribs, beef teriyaki. For an entrée we shared the«romantic squid”(I am not kidding). It was amazing crispy salt and pepper squid. Very light and crispy. They gave us sherbet for dessert. This is a great restaurant. Very clean with nice tablecloths and flowers.

Pros: — Food usually tasty — You get free dishwasher safe Tupperware tray if you order a combination Cons: — A little more pricey than other Chinese places in the area, though not the most expensive. — egg rolls don’t always seem fresh — rice could be better Overall fortune china is a good choice for Chinese food. The food is good and can be very good and you also get a plastic tupperware tray with a lid when your order the dinner combination or lunch combo. On the negative side they are a little more expensive than usual but only by a dollar or so. Also, the rice often lacks flavor. We usually order the sesame chicken and ask if they can make it spicy, which they are always willing to do. We recommend this restaurant if your in the area and looking for Chinese food.
