This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Owensboro! I was surprised that there weren’t more people eating there the night I was there. I had the white peach chicken, which was out of this world. Even the presentation was beautiful! Live entertainment was a nice touch(but maybe a little loud). The prices were also very affordable. A++

This is a hidden gem in Owensboro that never disappoints. The food is always amazing and interesting, and the service is friendly, polite, and efficient. There are a wide range of choices to fit any budget, anything from hamburgers with an international flair to exotic steaks, chicken, and fish. The meal sizes are generous, too.

I grew up in Owensboro amid the multitude of chain restaurants, and when I come back to visit, I ask my family to take me somewhere I can’t eat in my current city. Usually this is a tricky request, but this year they suggested Pangea. I was really thrown off by its strip mall location, but the menu and dishes were phenomenal. The dishes were inventive and rivaled anything you’d get in the«big city.» We had the pork chop, pear glacé chicken, goat cheese mashed potatoes(our favorite) and haricot verts for dinner. The crab cake appetizer was the perfect portion and came with tangy peppers. Service was friendly and timely. What more could you ask for?

Wow, what amazing food! We went there for lunch and I ordered myself a Cubano Sandwich listed under the panini section. At first glance of my food, I thought it was not going to be worth the price listed, BOYWAS I WRONG! My sandwich was delicious! Layered with avocado, bacon, ham, roasted chicken, with lettuce and pickles, it was the best sandwich I’ve had in years! The bread was fresh, thick and soft and the pesto pasta salad that came as a side dish was tasty and flavorful. This is one of our new favorite restaurants, can’t wait to go back.

My family and I ate lunch here when I was in charge of picking a place. Our food and service was absolutely wonderful. I had the Asian chicken salad and it was far and beyond the best meal I ate in Owensboro. Pat yourselves on the back Pangea people :D

Pangea is absolutely the BEST restaurant in Owensboro! It’s hidden in a dumpy strip mall on Carter Road(near the intersection of Carter/Parrish), but it’s been open for about a year now. This place is phenomenal! I went for the fourth time last night and had another A+ experience. I had the special, coffee-cured port tenderloin, and my wife had the mahi. Both dishes were excellent! The pork dish was one of the best entrees I have had in a long time! We live in Nashville, with PLENTY of dining options, and this place is stellar! We eat here every time we’re in Owensboro. We’ve also tried the Cuban sandwich, several salads, and last night even ordered the Mexican-banana-caramel crème brûlée. It was out of this world! They now serve wine and beer, so that helps make the place less café and more restaurant. HIGHLY recommended if you are in Owensboro! You won’t be disappointed. UPDATE — They have added a second(larger) dining room to the restaurant. While the new room is well decorated and freshly painted, it is TOOBRIGHT in there! They really need tone down the bulbs here, but otherwise it was fine. They now have 4 – 5 booths along the wall with curtains that you can close for privacy, and about 10 or 12 smaller tables.
