As much as I have liked this place before I have no choice but give a not great review. Our waitresses was ok, she’s new so I’ll give her that. New the waiting tables I don’t know but new to the restaurant. The other waitress how ever RUDE! When a customer speaks you shouldn’t give a dirty look! We have gotten the kids shrimp every time and get it grilled instead of fried well not today! NO substitute! And said it shitty. Our food was cold sent it back and it came out with no shrimp and it was all you can eat shrimp night lol. Will we eat here again… Prob NOT!

I wanted to like the place, really I did! Seafood options in Owensboro are pitiful. Unfortunately I just can’t give this place positive remarks. The service is just to slow even when the place is almost empty. The food while tasting just ok has zero appeal from it presentation or lack there of. The atmosphere is nicer since the renovation but that doesn’t compensate for the lack of tvs and the occasional juke box song with the volume up way to loud. To top it all off there was a loud drunk at the bar with a really creepy laugh. It appears he is a regular. Note to management, having a loud drunk at the bar every day isn’t quaint it’s annoying. Sadly none of these issues will probably be corrected so I guess I’m stuck with Long John Silvers. Oh well, at least their food tastes good.

I hate giving bad reviews, but I also hate poor food. There is so much wrong with place I don’t want to go into all of it.
1. When the bathroom is dirty and they are out of soap, towels,
and TP you know the owners does not care. Should of left but dad
wanted to stay.
2. Food bland frozen no Imagination.
3 Interior looks like a 16 year olds Basement.
4 Dirty fish tank. Again point to owners attention to
details.
5. Food crap. Save your money go to Long John Silvers.
6 this place only works because most people in
Owensboro have no ideal what good, or even descent
food is.

The service was terrible. We were a party of four and there were only three other tables with customers in the place. We all ordered catfish fillet dinners. After more than 30 minutes two of the four orders came out. The food was cold so we sent it back. 10 minutes later the other two orders came out, hot this time but took another 5 – 10 minutes for the ones we sent back to come back. The food was good despite the bad service.

Took 55 minutes to get food. Ordered two fillets and fries. That’s all. How can it take so long. I asked the manager she said the food comes out fresher if we cook four orders at a time. My fish was barely warm and was not good. Needs new management badly. They have the opportunity to be a very good restaurant and successful but they must do better than my experience or they will be out of business soon.

Visiting from California. Called in and ordered $ 32 worth of food. I got 3 small things of tartar sauce. Asked for three more as I had six pieces of fish and was told it would be $ 1.50 more. Really??? I think not!!!

This place is my new favorite restaurant! It has the best catfish I have ever eaten. The oysters are fresh. The prices are very reasonable. The waitresses and waiters are quick to tend to your needs.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and the first place I head to if I’m craving seafood. The boils cannot be beat; the crab lovers with sweet heat seasoning is my personal fav. The catfish is tasty; the grilled shrimp is divine.
The Cajun seasoning is good and hot – just like the Cajun restaurant where I worked during college.
The appetizer and dessert options are excellent but I rarely order them because I want to have plenty of room for my main course.
The servers are friendly and helpful.
They accept credit cards but I always take advantage of the discount for paying in cash. (There’s a bank right next door with a walk-​up ATM.)
The dining room can be difficult to navigate because it is a small establishment; however, the servers were discussing a potential expansion. I look forward to it… just like I look forward to my next visit.

First and last time. Got the «famous» all u can eat catfish. You’d think a place with catfish in the name would have great catfish. The first serving (of fiddlers) was over fried and dried out. The second serving was cooked better, but there is absolutely no seasoning in the breading. I also tried fillets. They were paper thin and over cooked to where you could not cut with fork. No knives on the table. I was raised on great catfish and this certainly is not it. Also service left much to be desired…

Catfish was not good, the portions were small, I think I counted five French fries, and the bill was outrageous for what we ordered and the portions given, we won’t be back. Service was lacking as well.
