We bought our high school son a used car — no surprise, it had a small oil leak evident on our garage floor (we only ever saw oil, no other fluids) — we took it to a place close to home we always go to — they said oil leak $ 300 and coolant leak $ 500. My husband called the dealer where we got the car and he recommended Vega’s — hubby checked the Unilocal reviews and off we went. Hubby told them another mechanic found 2 leaks — I agree with the other reviewers — it would have been easy to say yes to both repairs and just charge us a little less to get the business. We were told it was oil leak only. Appreciated the honesty and we have a new mechanic!

I’ve found my mechanic for life. Always does great work at super reasonable cost. Up front and honest, which is rare nowadays. I’ve taken my car, as well as my girlfriend’s, here on several occasions for brakes, alignments, axle problems, all kinds of stuff. Every time they are fixed with zero issues. Seriously, you can’t go wrong here.

There are things in life that should never be taken for granted. An honest mechanic is one of them. On several occasions Adam Vega has saved me a lot of money. If you want to play a fun game, go to another mechanic and get an estimate, then go to Vega’s and find out what the real problems are. You won’t believe how many dishonest thieving mechanics there are. Adam Vega is one of the few real and honest ones.

Honesty in car mechanics are hard to come by. Adam is as good as it gets.
We took our car in because the A/​C was blowing hot air. All the other mechanics told us that they would have to take the dashboard apart and it would run us a fortune. We dropped it off at Vega and within less than an hour, Adam called us to pick up the car because it was just a switch. He didn’t even want to charge us for it. So while he had the car, we had him address other issues and he got it fixed.
On our 2^nd car, the automatic side doors on my van were having issues opening and closing. Other places quoted us over $ 2k to get them fixed. While it took Adam a couple days to get the part in and doors fixed, he did it for much less and while it still has a sensor issue, we had to get the van back cuz it’s my only vehicle… to be continued.
One of my biggest issues with car repair shops is being told the car needs more repairs than it really does. It has not been the case with Adam. Rest assured, you have an issue, that’s what gets fixed.

If you want a shop you can trust to tell you what you need while not trying to «hard sell» you for what you don’t then I definitely recommend Vega’s Automotive. When I take my car to Vega’s I can always count on fair and honest pricing. The part costs have always been on par with industry prices and labor costs have been billed precisely down to the half hour (some shops just round up by the hour).
The last time I visited a chain shop for a basic belt and oil change they left a wrench on my engine block. I’m just thankful I found it before it fell into the fan. No more free wrenches, from now on I’ll stick with skilled local mechanics.
