This place has become my fav in south OP. I usually split a pork Banh Mi with a friend as an appetizer and then order the Phở Dac Biet — it’s a perfect lunch! I took some colleagues there and they like the Phở as well, but some of them started to order the Bun and loved it. I agreed with some of the reviews on here, the service is terrible! But it’s kinda like the norm when you go to an Asian restaurant. They recently hired a French girl so hope it’ll improve.

It really is THEBEST Vietnamese restaurant that I’ve been to in the greater Kansas City area! The food is just so good. All the flavors in the dishes I’ve tried were well developed, marinated. The restaurant was really clean. I had carryout one night and dined in for lunch very next day to get more of it! Everything is fresh and well made, prepared. Honestly, I don’t take the time out to review if I don’t feel strongly one way or the other about an establishment’s food. I really encourage people to try this restaurant, and while many businesses suffer from finding the«right» people/employees to help run things smoothly, you can’t deny that when the food is good, it’ll keep customers coming back.

If a high school home economics class ran a Vietnamese restaurant the end result would be Phở Vietnam. the two teenagers running the place that night were trying their best but I could have gotten the food at a better pace and would have acted like I cared. And, how can you screw up soup? they found a way. no flavor. just rice noodles, hot water, and some chicken. I had better soup out of the can. I’ve been to other Vietnam restaurants in the area. they serve the food with a smile and lots of ingredients and flavor. Stay away from this one until the adults come to help.

I have been here a few times. Mainly because it is located in South OP. The phở tai is quite good. The broth is aromatic and tasty. The portion size is good too. Their bun is okay. I prefer phở good’s and viet nam café’s. The service, as others have noted, could be better. It’s a bit slow and not very polite. But they get the job done. All in all – it’s good food and the prices are fair. But don’t expect an amazing experience.

Believe me, I wanted to give this place 4 or 5 stars. If it weren’t for the service, I would have. We got there pretty early for the lunch crowd on a Saturday. We first ordered the egg rolls. They were delicious. Fresh & scalding hot — right out of the fryer! The dipping sauce was a little on the thin side for my taste, but it was still delicious. I ordered the chicken phở, and daughter ordered the veggie phở. There were many layers of taste. I opted to put a few dashes of Hoisin & Sriracha sauce in mine, along with all of the fixings. Daughter likes it how it comes. Elegant broth. Delicious. Layers of taste. Fresh. It was really one of the best Phos I have had. Service. Meh. I really wanted it to be so much better as far as the entire experience. They weren’t very friendly. I don’t know if it was the owner, or the owner’s son. Just not warm and welcoming. Will we go back? Probably. We would probably go back twice as many times if the staff was really friendly and service was good. Still — really good for this area.

It wasn’t bad but it was pricey for viet food, imo. Service is also subpar. $ 5.95 for a banh mi?! Silly.
