I been going here for 10 years, always entertaining and great food.

Came for a birthday dinner & had the best time! GREAT food, so fun & definitely going back! That fried rice was seriously to die for! Loved the salad, the soup, the veggies, the shrimp, the steak — it was all so good! $ 30 for meal but you get SOMUCH food! Just know it’s not an inexpensive place for dinner. But again, so worth it!

Chef would not be able to throw the shrimp into the customers mouths, and then proceeded to ask to have it back in order to retry. The shrimp had already hit the customers mouths! Way too expensive, waiter asked the table next to ours if there were any special occasions but failed to ask our table this. We were there to celebrate a birthday. Steamed rice never came out and grease splattered. Don’t order the vegetarian entrée if you are a true vegetarian. Everything is cooked together(including meats) and they don’t clean off utensils.

I wish I would have read these reviews before going to Nikko! That said, I’ll second what many of the other reviewers said. Extremely overpriced(charged extra for the rice ~ REALLY?! NOTE: prices online are significantly lower than what they truly are), was also disappointed with the Ranch dressing(was supposed to be a ginger-type dressing). Though the chef and the experience of having the food cooked in front of you was excellent, there wasn’t anything spectacular about the food itself and for what you pay, you better at least approach spectacular. Definitely will not go back!

I came here with a Groupon and ended up meeting friends here as well. We got lucky in that we ended up at the same station. I had a 7 pm reservation which they couldn’t find for some reason, even though I called the night before. I luckily didn’t have to turn around and leave since they had space. We were seated pretty quickly after we got there and had drink orders taken and served. Soup and salad were brought out quickly. It seemed like our order was spaced out a bit from when we ordered drinks to when we ordered food. We sat with some OK people, 2 were socially awkward, with one being straight up rude to the staff. The chefs came and were a blast to watch on top of being hysterical(be prepared for flying rice and shrimp into people’s mouthes. One of the chefs has been there on and off for 15 years(apparently tried to open his own place and there wasn’t enough interest which is a shame because he’s good), maybe some of the negative reviews didn’t have the chefs we had Food was good, a little on the salty side for me and a little much on the soy sauce/spice side. I had enough for left overs for the next day. Be prepared to spend at least an hour from start to finish here, as that’s how Japanese Steakhouses roll. I was able to use my Groupon, which is why I came. It is on the pricier side of food I’ve had since I’ve been out here. Keep in mind that gratuity is already included in your bill

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my Groupon. The food was great but the sauce they use isn’t. Nikko’s is overpriced and the restaurant isn’t as busy. That’s probably why they offer Groupon’s.

Let’s jump in with my top 3 complaints and then I can go into detail: 1.) Cold Sake bombs(server said it was easier… well it’s easier not to tip too) 2.) Japanese salad with RANCH dressing!!! If I wanted Ranch instead of Ginger dressing, I’d go to a pizza joint) 3.) Menu prices online are staggeringly different than at the restaurant(by $ 4 on many items!!! Let me tell you this – it is NOTCHEAP here — get this, the MANAGER said to take it up the price difference with Corporate Marriott because it’s been that way for years!!! what??? I took my BF there for his birthday. Boo. Hello disappointment. When I go to a Japanese Steakhouse I want delicious hot Sake and beer, yummy, buttery fried rice and that famous Iceberg salad with Ginger dressing. YOUDONOTGETTHISHERE. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because I believe one time isn’t valid enough but I was certainly tempted… P. S. my overpriced $ 5 w/entrée Fried Rice was clumpy and not buttery goodness. I’m not going back.

Food was good, sushi I’d pass. If you like fruity cocktails you will LOVE theirs! Pretty expensive but fun with a large group

Overpriced, even with a groupon. Watch your receipt closely. After spending $ 30 for an entrée(marked as $ 29 on menu) they charge an additional $ 4 for fried rice. No wonder they have a manager come around when the bill is due.(seemed more like a used car salesman than anything, he bragged they sold over 4000 groupons and that he would receive half of the 20% gratuity) Also gratuity of 20% was added automatically. I wouldn’t mind, but overcharging seems to be a theme here. Worth mentioning; the chef dropped a spatula twice, once on the ground and another in a guests lap. My friend and I were splattered in the face with grease as the chef continued his futile attempt to «show off.» The meat was cooked perfectly but was way to salty. I was not impressed with the iceberg & ranch salad nor the vegetables that came with my entrée. My friend and I left feeling«taken advantage of» and will never go back unless it is FREE! Thankfully we went for some retail therapy afterwards to distract from our awful experience at Nikko’s.
