This is probably my preferred Indian restaurant. It is amazing and the employees are exceptional. I have never been dissatisfied in all of my experiences here. Death row meal status.

Lunch buffet weekends 10.95 while weekday 9.95. I’m not Indian, but this cuisine is my favorite, so naturally I’ve been around and tasted! Had lunch buffet Sunday, workers are courteous and friendly. However, other Indian buffets in area Ruchi(fav) and Korma Sutra, both a few dollars more per person, have higher quality of Indian food-get what you pay for. Indian Palace buffet was good for an Indian fix, but I think even trader joes indian food is more flavorful… good Indian food needs to be prepared well in advance to allow the full spices to seep in, some of the dishes were lacking flavor due to what I suspect was a lack of time in preparation, food prepared just today instead of days marinating before. However, I did enjoy some of the veg dishes veg korma, pakora, and malai kofta. Chai was pretty good also! When wanting to save dollars(and maybe overindulgence) come here, if wanting really flavorful stuff and don’t mind prices, elsewhere is better.

My husband and I love this place. Hands down the best Indian food in our area. You can’t go wrong with their lunch buffet. For dinner we always enjoy Chicken Tikka Masala, garlic naan, veggie samosas and pakoras. The mango lassis are great as well. The service is always top notch!

This is the only Indian place that I have ever been to and it’s the only one I need to go to. Business is family owned their is also a location in Lawrence Kansas which is where I first fell in love with this place. I really appreciate the kind people working here they have perfect customer service and are very welcoming. Going here is always a treat. If you are looking for a new Indian restaurant this place will not dissapoint. The chicken tikka Masala is my favorite and go to dish. Also try the garlic nan it is incredible! Thanks so much to India palace for the wonderful food and service!!!

Had the lunch buffet and it really hit the spot. The mix of vegetables and meat dishes were really a good variety. The standards like Chicken Tikka & Curry Chicken both had great flavor and cook just right. They had a tiny bit of spice but not too much. The beef dish was hot but really yummy. The price was right at just over $ 10 a plate. Very casual atmosphere and clean. Food was great and the staff was great. I would highly recommend having a meal here.

Excellent buffet and fantastic service. Some of the best Masala Chai in town. Worth the price.

Walk-in, be seated, and enjoy some rather bland Indian food. That is the summary of this review. The location is easy to get to, plenty of seating, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Refills are plentiful for drinks, which is good since everything else is relatively mediocre. The menu is standard with pricing-to-portion size compared to other local Indian restaurants is small. The tikka masala and naan were underwhelming, the tandoori was dry, and the rice was lukewarm. A lack of being able to choose the spiciness of the dishes likely did not help with the lack of flavor of the food. I found the tikka masala to have some heat due an over abundance of cayenne, but a lack of paprika, cardamom, or cumin. I feel the sauce could have been better balanced. Unlike many other restaurants, the chicken itself doesn’t seem to be marinated. Overall the food was a bit disappointing compared to the aroma that was floating around in the parking lot. The staff’s friendliness is a redeeming quality, but the food needs improving for a recommendation when there are so many other choices in the area which taste like tikka masala should. Locale and ambience: 3 Friendliness: 4 Food: 2 Price: 2 Overall: 3

We were SO surprised to find such phenomenal authentic Indian food in Kansas! We went on Unilocal to find a spot and based on the reviews chose this spot. The waiter was very sweet and the food was outstanding — we had chana masala, the cauliflower potato dish(sorry can’t remember the name), biryani rice and garlic naan. The food was truly fresh and flavorful!

Very Good!!! We ordered Togo and it was quick and easy. I took the recommendations of others and picked the Vegetable Korma. It was delicious. The Naan was quite tasty as well.

I love Indian food, though I live about 45 minutes West of Overland Park, so I had never heard of/seen India Palace. We do have a restaurant by the same name in Lawrence, but they are not affiliated. We got there around 5:45 and it was pretty quiet, though the dining room filled up over the next hour~. Wait staff were friendly and quick to offer suggestions on the menu. As we were looking over the menu, the waiter brought out the various chutney sauces and some bread(not sure what it is called) to dip. It was excellent. We also decided to start with the chicken samosas. For the entreés, we selected two orders of Chicken Tikka Masala with the plain and garlic Naan. The food smelled excellent and was hot/fresh when it came to the table. The garlic naan was my favorite and really seemed to go well with the Tikka Masala. I don’t go out to Overland Park too often, but I’d definitely consider going back to India Palace the next time I do.

The Butter Chicken is wonderful. I keep going back just for that. Luckily, every thing else I’ve had here is just as good.

India Palace’s sister location in Lawrence is responsible for my Indian food addiction, so I figured not try the one here in OP/Lenexa and see if they’ve got the stuff I’m looking for. The verdict: Not quite, but it’s still really good! The staff here couldn’t have been friendlier on a fall Saturday evening. They constantly checked our drinks, were prompt and just all around great. The food lacked some serious punch compared to what I’m used to with Indian food. The servers didn’t ask if we wanted it mild, medium or hot and I think they assume people will want it mild. I should’ve spoken up, but it’s a fine line with spice. If you ask for spice, they may put the food into the mouth-tingling, stomach churning danger zone. If you don’t ask, you may wind up with some good flavors but lacking dishes. That being said, the Lamb Tikka Masala and other veggie dish we got(potatoes, peas, spinach) had a pretty good all around flavor. The Tikka Masala was the better of the two with a bit of a tomato tang to it. It was more like some of the Indian food I’d tried in Europe than the sister location in LFK. We also did samosas, because, samosas. Good as you’d expect. We capped off the dinner with a small cup of chai tea and had an enjoyable experience all around. Living so far from this specific spot, it’s not going to earn a place in my restaurant rotation, but I would recommend it to someone nearby.

So I am not usually one to try new ethnic cuisine on the road, but I certainly did not want BBQ or the usual burger tonight so I took a chance. Can I say I was very well rewarded in that chance, As i was taking a chance, I ordered the palace platter to experience multiple appetizers. I was not a fan of them, and that is NOT a reflection on the restaurant, it is a reflection on my taste and I just wasn’t into these. It is always good to try things though, I did love the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was full of flavor and tender. The rice brought the sauce and chicken together wonderfully. The Naan was a bit thicker than my local place, but that was not an issue, I loved it as well. Anyone that is looking for a reliable Indian spot, this is the go to.

Not our usual choice for Indian cuisine but found the offerings to be very good. The BF prefers our usual restaurant but I would return. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the food was tasty. I will return.

The ambience was great and the place was very neat and hygienic compared to few other Indian restaurants. BUT its very low in taste n quality of the food. Ordered chicken tikka masala, where the chicken was absolutely not fresh. The chicken biryani wasn’t having a good flavour but cannot blame as its a north Indian restaurant –Not the right place for Biryani lovers. The appetizer — chicken tikka was crap. No flavour, not tasty and chicken is wasn’t fresh. All in all not at all a go again!

Wanted to like this place, because it’s sister location in Lawrence kicks ass. This location was not as good. I had Rohan josh, sauce was good, but lamb was not as flavorful or tender as I would have liked. Pashawary naan was very flat, overcooked, and had practically no coconut in it, and couldn’t taste any nuts. Naan at Lawrence loc blew me away last time. Friend had chicken dish that was very good, and was a huge portion. The service was very good though, albeit slightly over attentive, as there were few other patrons. Tea was filled at least 4 times. It is a strip mall location. The décor is very lacking and in desperate need of an update. Think I will skip this location and do India Palace in Lawrence, or go to Ruchi.

This place is absolutely amazing. In my opinion, it’s the best of its kind in town. While the selection may not be as large as other places, everything on the buffet is fabulous. They are consistent, too. I have been pleased every time that I’ve had a meal there. If you go on the weekends, it costs a few bucks more — but they offer more selections. The service is on par with what you would find at the finest dining establishments. The management here go great measures to ensure your experience is great. Just know that they are closed on Tuesdays. There is another Indian restaurant down the road that serves a buffet. It doesn’t even come close to the quality of India Palace. Try some of the mango chutney as a garnish!

Wow! We were wary when we walked in as the décor is nothing special but were wowed by the service and food. I ordered the vegetarian thali and everything from the soup to the rice to the naan to the curries to the pickles were perfectly spiced and tasty. It was even just the right amount if spicy. I just recently moved from NYC and I have found Indian restaurants there to be very heavy/oily and lacking in flavor. To make something just spicy is not flavor. My husband got the shrimp tika and we were surprised at how many shrimps he got for the price. And of course they were delicious. We also loved the side sauces(green spicy, vinegar sweet sauce and some chutney/pickled things) Service was really polite and gracious. They poured our beers w such care. But FYI not all white wines are sweet(out server told us that but I corrected him!) Hahha got a good laugh from that. I don’t go to Indian restaurants for their wine expertise so that was ok:) I would definitely come back here– I’m usually wary if buffets but may even try that. It delicious, cheap and has great service! And they take Amex which so many businesses don’t around here. Hooray! Full 5 stars from me!

I came here with two friends for dinner on a Saturday. If you’re not sure where this was and you knew where ABC Café was, then it’s right across the street from ABC Café. There was plenty of parking so don’t worry about that. The interior was dimly lit but still bright enough to read the menu(to me anyways). There were a few others in the restaurant so it wasn’t busy when we came in around 8pm. Their menu had a lot of choices so that was good. We ordered a lot for the three of us which were Raita($ 1.00), Vegetable Samosas($ 2.95), Chicken Pakoras($ 3.95), Bhindi Masala($ 8.95), Butter Chicken($ 9.95), Chicken Tikka Masala($ 10.95), Saag Paneer, Shrimp Biryani, Basmati rice, and Garlic Naan. I forgot the prices for some of those but whatever. The staff were friendly and always checked up on us while we waited for our food to come. A little while later, our food came out all at the same time and it was a lot of food. The Vegetable Samosas were good in my opinion and same with the Chicken Pakoras. I thought I never had okra before but I did once I tried the Bhindi Masala. They were not bad and definitely added some vegetables to our mainly-chicken meal. lol The Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masla were both delicious, but I preferred the Chicken Tikka Masala since I thought it had more flavor than the Butter Chicken. I would recommend either of those. The Saag Paneer was okay to me(a little boring to me) and the Garlic Naan was great. I always had regular Naan but never Garlic Naan. Good Indian food here and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and in the mood for Indian food.
