Imo’s Pizza

Hard to compare different styles of pizza, each having their own benefits and draws. St. Louis style has to be up there as one of my favorites. The cracker like crust topped with super buttery provel. Got the 8″ lunch special that comes with a side salad (house dressing always amazing) a drink and also ordered the classic toasted ravioli. Despite eating all this food I was still craving me some Imo’s a mere 30 minutes after lunch.
As my wife said, if there was one where we lived, it’d be dangerous as we’d visit probably once a week.

This was our first time trying St. Louis style pizza and I have to say I’m a fan. (I am slightly biased as I already love thin pizza though). If someone hates thin pizza I would give this a try it might be a little different than what you expected.
Upon entering we noticed a long line and my girlfriend and I needed something quick and easy to eat after a long day. We reluctantly got in line and moved surprisingly quickly to the counter. The special that day was a x-​large pizza for $ 18 dollars from what I remember, which was a great deal. We placed our order and went next door to run some errands after the counter employee nicely told us our wait time (about 10 – 15 mins) After running errands we came back and as estimated our pizza was ready for pick up.
The cheese is as everyone says; absolutely delicious. If you are a cheese lover you will thoroughly enjoy Provel. The pizza wasn’t anything too crazy or too spectacular but that’s what we expected, a simple, delicious thin style pizza that didn’t try to hard. I would recommend stopping by and giving this a try. Note this was our first and only experience here.

We tried Imo’s for the first time yesterday and we were pretty impressed! We had no idea what St. Louis style pizza was so decided to try something new. We got their Great taste of St. Louis which was a large 2 toppings pizza, 8 toasted ravioli, 12 provel cheese bites, and 4 cinimos for $ 20! It was delicious! The cheese definitely tastes different than mozzarella, but in a good way I can’t explain! You just have to try it! We will be back to try more of their menu!

amazing pizza! they crust is delicious and not only that their cheese is something you won’t ever get on a Pizza Hut pizza or Papa Johns. it’s a STL style pizza and their stands out tremendously compared to its competitors. if you’re in the area and your stomach starts growling, you have to try Imo’s!

St. Louis style pizza is wonderful and Imo’s is the real deal. Hand crafted and delicious. Do not fear the provolone cheese mix, however, if you prefer mozzarella then just ask for it. Either way the experience is great pizza. Highly recommend the square beyond compare.

The cheese, the sauce, the crust and cut into squares of yummy goodness. If you haven’t tried it you are missing out, if you have you already know you’ll be back for more.

I love Imo’s! For those that are not familiar, the Imo’s pizza is a thin, crisp crackery crust topped with gooey Provel cheese. Provel cheese is this concoction similar to Kraft American, but a provolone & mozzarella blend instead. Every bite is delicious and the cheese is not overwhelming because the crust holds up very well. The pepperoni is the best because they place the toppings under the cheese.
The toasted raviolis are also awesome.

This is my new favorite place when I visit KC. Great tasting crust and flavor.

I used to go to Imo’s pretty regularly when I lived in the area about eight years ago. Recently I made my way back to try it again and see if it was everything I thought it was back in the day & I was very satisfied!
I couldn’t quite recall what it was that I used to get all of the time so my husband and I went with their lunch box deal that included a small pizza and some side items. We also split an order of boneless BBQ wings. I’ll go out on a limb and say that we should have stuck with just the pizza and wings — The side items were just fried ‘meh’. They weren’t terrible but also just weren’t nearly as good as the pizza and wings.
Our pizza was amazing. I seriously contemplated going back and ordering another pizza to go because that small pizza that we split was SO delicious I wanted to be a complete fatty and have MORE MORE MORE. :)
I’ll definitely find more reasons to return to the area and take home bigger pizzas in the future!

What is important to have a great pizza? The answer is in it’s crust. To make a great pizza you first need to make a perfect crust. And these people have done it. The crust of their pizza is thin, crispy and delicious.
I order a veggie deluxe. It was loaded with veggies, and i loved it.
They provide with order a head service, in which you can order ahead and later pick up or dine in. Which i really think useful when you are running late or starving.
One more thing which i found interesting was they cut their pizza in squares rather triangles. It was unusual but fun.

This was my first experience with St. Louis style pizza, which features a thin, crispy crust, Provel cheese, toppings to the edge, and square cuts. I thought the Provel cheese (reminded me of Velveeta) over-​powered any pepperoni flavor. I like thin crust, so I thought the crust was tasty, but I missed the outside edge of the crust, which is available on other pizza styles.
The service was friendly, and quick. My 8″ pizza was ready in about nine minutes, which gave me time to get a drink and finish my salad. The interior was nicely done, with classic rock background music.
The lunch special (8″ one-​topping pizza with salad and a drink) for $ 6.89 (M-​F 11 – 2) was a pretty good deal, but I’m just not a fan of this style of pizza.

Every time I’m in the KC area, it is essential that I eat at Imo’s. It is a perfect blend of sauce and provel cheese and it is unlike any pizza place I’ve been to. Would love for a Wichita location someday!

One of my favorite pizza places! Our standard order is the Deluxe (sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper, and Bacon). Salad with the House Italian. An order of wings and an order of toasted ravioli. All of it is delicious! I have never had a bad experience with customer service. If you sign up you get deals e-​mailed to you and a special offer for your birthday. No only do they deliver, but they go a pretty long distance (for a reasonable charge). Not often is there left over pizza, but when there is, it’s always great cold!

Do you like hot cardboard smothered government cheddar cheese and a sauce that only the elementary school lunch lady would be proud of? IMOS IS FOR YOU!

When looking for a taste of st. Louis style pizza there’s no place better than IMO’s. I think there slogan is the square beyond compare. You have to love the saint louis style provel cheese on the pizza. Don’t forget their salad with their house dressing.
Now if we could only get a pasta house in the KC area. Keep up the great pizza IMO’s

How have I never tried Imo’s???
I don’t generally order pizza a lot, tend to go in spurts and generally have my go to places. I decided to try something different and was very happy with my choice!
The pizza is absolutely delicious. Thin, crispy crust, loaded with toppings. Square cuts, which for some reason I prefer.
Pasta is fantastic. Great sauce and comes with excellently flavored garlic bread.
Sandwiches are great.
Hot wings could use some more heat, but have good flavor.
Prices were very good for the quality and quantity.
Overall, best pizza in Olathe area.
(Not sure what St Louis style pizza is, but won me over!)
