Cinzetti’s is an all you can eat Italian buffet. Monday and Tuesday kids eat free. The décor makes you feel like your in little Italy. They have a great selection of Italian food. You’ll be able to find a cold bar equipped with a few different types of salads along with bruschetta. As for hot dishes you’ll be able to find everything from calamari to chicken spiedini. Both my husband and kids enjoy their crepes. You can definitely taste the freshness in their dishes. I would highly recommend trying their bruschetta. They also have an ice cream bar with 16 different flavors for you to choose from.

Cinzettis is the Golden Corral of Italian food. I am not a big buffet fan(my mother in law loves this place) & we do love the fact that our large party can get a semi private room to dine in and not feel like we are bother other diners(with 6 kids it can get loud fast)! The buffet is huge and has everything from fresh salads and cut fruit to eggs Benedict and spaghetti and meatballs. They usually offer some sort of chicken and salmon as well as cooked veggies and sliced pizza. The kids go crazy for the dessert area, which features many types of ice cream, fresh cannoli and my favorite the made while you wait crêpe bar! It is really the only reason I look forward to Cinzettis. Since the other offerings aren’t really low carb friendly, for a treat I must have a crêpe! This isn’t the fanciest or most authentic Italian food you’ll have in Kansas City, but everything I have had tastes good and is fresh.

My daughter took me there for lunch, I was beyond impressed. Buffet style, the chefs at each station and the aroma of the freshly prepared foods. i enjoyed the eggplant and was pleasantly surprised with the fish with a lemon sauce. The freshly baked bread, selection of fine wines, and the dessert station was pure heaven. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is amazing. I tell everyone this is a must go to restaurant, pricing is extremely reasonable. We noticed a large group that appeared to be starting a business meeting, my daughter and I had to laugh as the food and atmosphere quickly took over and business was no more. Dine there once and you will find yourself a regular patron, yes it’s that good.

Day before Christmas my family spills into Sin-city, coined affectionately by the bulging effect it has on our bellies. Moms get a break from cooking and cleaning and dad’s, uncle’s and kids eat, eat and eat. I love the iron gate at the entrance and the smell of garlic, baking bread, roasted chicken, and chocolate as the door opens. Fresh soups, salads, bruschetta, lasagna, Alfredo, parmigiana, pizza, frittata, cannoli’s served market style in copper or cast iron skillets on granite counters. For weekend brunch and dinners crêpe’s are also available. Their are other additions but these are the most memorable for me It’s a beautifully casual inviting atmosphere. Families are encouraged and some nights the kiddos eat free. Nice big round tables for family dining or comfy booths for smaller parties. About $ 11 for lunch $ 16 dinner. Our picky eaters love it here. Nice huge parking lot and good service.

My husband suggested a weekend getaway to KC and at the top of his list was an Italian buffet he went to while on a business trip. The whole time I’m thinking you want to go all the way to KC(we are from Lincoln, NE) to a buffet? Really? Boy was I surprised. We did a lot more than eat here while in KC, but Cinzetti’s is a really great restaurant and a great stop on our trip. Instead of hot cases full of old or tasteless food, this place is well designed with little ‘stations’ providing enough choices but not too many with high quality food. There’s pasta, pizza, Italian entrees, roasted chicken, even desserts like tiramasu and a crêpe station. It’s really a great place, very clean, not too pricey! I highly recommend it.

For what this place is … a large, loud, family-friendly restaurant … it certainly deserves five stars and I seldom give five stars. Everything about it is grande except their attitude. Everyone who works there is understated and they stay out of your way as you make as many trips to the trough as you want. Each of the prep stations appears to be staffed by its own chef or cook and dishes are prepared with the kind of attention you would expect in a white tablecloth and napkins establishment. The day I was there(at lunch time) the Mama’s Meatballs in marinara were perfectly balanced with the flavor of garlic delightfully laced through tomato base of the sauce as well as the fluffy texture of the meatballs. Molto bene!

Met family here to celebrate their birthdays, and so glad we came. Not just for the celebration with Jackie and Donnie but for fun with the rest of the family AND the food. Even Sonny liked it and he’s not much of one for buffets. Ready to go back for just plain good Italian food. Sara was great took family in stride and kept us supplied with drinks and good service. Go Cinzetti’s!

The first thing that grabbed my attention was the prodigious building with a majestic iron gate and water fountain at the entrance. Which did raise my expectations. And I must say I was never let down. We were politely received by one of the employees, to which he inquired a few things about our visit. Knowing that it was our first visit, he gave us a tour of the buffet. We informed him that we are vegetarians, he made note of that and thoroughly explained which dishes have meat. The buffet was fit for a king. With seven different salads, five different pastas with one daily special. Six types of pizza and around six other different dishes. Out of which i loved the eggplant Parmesan and lasagna. With five types of lovely desserts. And a variety of ice cream to choice from. We are talking good food and an awesome variety to choose from. Eat till u drop!

Cinzetti’s & Plaza Catering not only have amazing food & excellent catering, but the staff is top notch & will go the extra distance to make sure your experience with them is beyond satisfactory! I’ve worked with Plaza Catering for several profession business events, including an open house with over 300 people, happy hours & work holiday parties. After these wonderful experiences, there was no question I wanted them to cater my wedding as well! I encourage everyone to work with this crew — they are the Best!!!

Tried it out and thought overall it was a pretty good value for the money. Boyfriend and I literally made our way around the entire buffet and tried everything except some pizzas and desserts. My favorites were the meatballs(by themself, who needs the actual spaghetti?) the eggplant parm, house salad, and the special chicken pesto pizza. the make your own crêpe bar with the cream cheese filling was soooo good! Awesome way to finish for dessert. Everything else was okay some better than others but just basic buffet food. If they had better pasta dishes I would probably have been impressed because when I think Italian I think pasta but all of their pasta fell short and wasn’t tasty. I left all of it uneaten. If they could improve those pasta dishes, this place would be awesome. Maybe a few more selections to the menu would be good too. Potential for a great place with just a few improvements needed! Still give it a try if you’re in the mood for stuffing your face.

We had my sister’s rehearsal dinner here last Thursday evening. I was disappointed in the service and the experience. We had the large banquet room and the wedding party was situated up front. The layout was perfect, the service on the other hand was awful. My husband and I had to wait fifteen minutes for silverware. And we were already on to our second plate of food when the server brought us drinks. We were not the only people to experience this poor service. There were two servers trying to accommodate our massive party. There were too many people for two people to handle by themselves. Waters and silverware should have been at our seats by the time we were already seated. That way — the servers could have focused on supplying additional drinks. For a party that a) rented the banquet room, and b) dropped a pretty penny at your resturant, some care should have gone into the service. I won’t be back. I doubt the rest of my family will, either.

Food: The weekend brunch menu offers expansive diversity within its focus of Italian, breakfast, and dessert options. Although technically a buffet, Cinzetti’s embraces a «market style» philosophy in that many of the server stations are designed for customer specific requests. Of note, the food is presented in single pan format, which allows for maximum freshness. Italian food. The majority of dishes sampled surpassed any Italian-American chain restaurant, and many family-owned establishments. Specifically, the meatballs and chicken speidini are exceptional. An area for improvement within this genre would be the overly simplistic pizza. Also, those seeking pasta al dente will be disappointed. Breakfast food. The breakfast food fell a bit short of its enormous potential. For instance, the eggs Benedict were immediately appealing to the eyes and for the most part satisfying, however the hollandaise sauce was too tangy for the dish. Similarly, the French toast presented well, but was undercooked. A positive was the omelette station, which quickly produced quality products, however seemed overwhelmed by demand at times. Dessert. The dessert bar offers everything from hand scooped ice cream to the very popular chocolate molten dessert, and made-to-order crêpe station. A sampling of traditional Italian fare like cannolis and crostata are juxtaposed with American favorites like apple, peach, and strawberry crisp. Definitely something to please any dessert aficionado. Ambiance: The ambiance was pleasurable right from the start. Parking is accessible, and the entry to the restaurant was grand, highlighted by a large fountain and series of hardwood double doors. The high ceilings, and ample floor space provides additional comfort. The entire footprint was cleaned and well-maintained. The lighting, and background noise were just right. The walking space between service stations was comfortable. This is a place to enjoy whether dressed in semi-formal, or casual attire. Service: The staff is cordial, and attentive from the moment you walk in until you leave. They are well groomed and ready to please at all times. Well done! Price: All told, your bill for two all-you-can eat dishes, and two soft drinks will fall just short of $ 40. A reasonable price for a quality brunch. Overall: This was a great eating experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

This is a great Italian buffet-style restaurant with something on the menu for everyone. Quality of the food is high and most items are made right in the restaurant(so no frozen/preservative crap). Think a really nicely done Italian-style Golden Corral buffet and you’ll get the gist. What I typically like about buffet style restaurants is the possibility to have a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and maybe try something from the menu that you’ve never had before. Zinzettis is great for this because there’s a huge variety and you’re free to get as much or as little as you want. Pizza, pasta, meat, salad, soup, whatever. They also have a very nice breakfast/brunch buffet Saturday and Sunday that I highly recommend. Space is not an issue here — they have ample parking, huge seating areas w/large rooms for groups/parties/etc, and the buffet itself is huge. Prices can be a little steep so be prepared. Italian buffet dinner for two, together with a carafe of white wine and coffee with desert came to $ 57.00 total for the bill. Overall, Zinzettis is a great choice, and I do recommend you try this wonderful restaurant for yourself!

I am one of those people with the sacrilegious opinion that Cinzetti’s isn’t good. It’s overwhelmingly exciting when you walk in for the first time and are faced with the nauseating abundance of pastas, pizza, salad, cannolis, ice cream… but then you taste it… and it’s. disappointing. Or worse, it’ll taste horrible: I kid you not, the ice cream i got tasted exactly like Robitussin. As in the cough syrup. My friend said the same and the lady sitting at the table next to us piped in and agreed too. Not everything is nearly that bad but this place is quantity over quality, unfortunately. Although I will add, the crêpe station was a redeeming factor for me! Those were good.

First time to Kansas and was brought here for dinner. I’ve never seen such a huge selection of Italian food! We have options for appetizers, soups, salads, lots of entrees and desserts! Coolest thing was there was a «made-to-order» crêpe station where you can choose certain toppings! I literally tried a little of everything! My favorite was a spicy pass dish made with peas, sausage, and spiralen pasta. Spaghetti was okay. I was scared to try their white sauces because it looked like they just poured a gallon of milk in the pot of pasta. The pizza flavors were pretty good, but I felt the crust get soggy pretty quick. After being on my plate for a few minutes. It was soggy. My favorite dessert was the ice cream and chocolate cake. Great service though! Very clean. Would bring guest here if they lost Italian food!

While staying nearby, I Unilocaled possible dinner options for New Year’s Eve. Italian… BUFFET? With three guys who have hollow legs in our party, plus a picky eater(me)… I thought hell yes! We(party of 6) came at 5:45 and the wait was around 45 minutes. It ended up being more like 30. You can make reservations, but we didn’t plan far enough in advance. This place is like no other buffet I’ve ever been to. It’s like an upscale Italian buffet, divided into several different stations. Someone said to me that they have 130+ items to choose from, and I believe it. Everything from the standard pizza and pasta, to salads, veggies, potatoes, meats, made to order crepes and a ton of different desserts. My only regret leaving was that there was no way I could try everything I wanted to. The most surprising thing was that the pizza and pasta were my least favorite things. The pastas I tried(spaghetti with marinara and fettuccine alfredo) were lukewarm and just ok. The pizza was ok too. The items I loved(being a vegetarian), were: pasta salad with pesto, grilled veggies(zucchini, peppers, summer squash, etc), MASHEDPOTATOES, roasted potatoes, fried zucchini and garlic breadsticks. I also was a huge fan of the desserts, especially the crème puffs and apple crisp. The apple crisp was made with real apples– no corner cutting«apple pie filling» here. Same for the veggies. All was obviously fresh. The ice cream I used to top the apple crisp was also good. Our waitress, Bambi, was great. She kept our waters filled, which is a feat with our party of heavy duty water drinkers. For $ 16 a person, well worth it! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.
