They list themselves as a climbing gym but there is no climbing, only bouldering. So that was a bit disappointing. That said, I did not spend time in the ANW training room, just bouldering. As a bouldering gym though, it was nice and clean. The gym was new and the cost was quite low ($ 11). The routes were good but tough and the staff was friendly. There was a good amount of height for a bouldering but will probably become a pretty short and low climbing wall. I couldn’t see much point in setting lead routes. But still a good experience.

My brother and I spend a day at this gym while we were visiting family for Christmas and had a great time. I am an avid climber and have worked in the climbing gym industry for number of years. The angles of their walls combined with above average route setting, good, customer service, and a very clean and professional atmosphere provided for a memorable experience. Apex has an exceptional facility which includes a very creative american ninja warrior training room (essentially a glorified playground) that is guaranteed fun for all ages. The combination of all the previous attributes for a very affordable price puts Apex above many of the other climbing facilities I have been to in the area. If you decide to spend time at apex you will not be disappointed
