My husband and I reserved the Outlaw cabin for the weekend. 2 bedroom 1 bath was very nice. Just 3 complaints: 1) very noisy heard constant traffic from nearby road highway 260. Trying to sleep at night we could hear car traffic. We had to buy earplugs from Dollar General. 2) a little pricey 3) the Outlaw has a private jacuzzi on deck outside of master bedroom. On Saturday afternoon, we were staying until Sunday, napping around 12 noon, trying to catch up on lost sleep because of the traffic noise at night. Outside on the porch we heard banging, scaring us, jumped up to see who was out on the deck. A maintenance guy was checking the water in the jacuzzi, temperature and water level. REALLY??? Couldn’t they wait until we checked out the next day? Not cool.

1÷18÷13−1÷19÷13 Moose Meadow Cabin: Arrived with my girlfriend around 4 pm on Friday. We were told we were moved last minute to the Moose Meadow as the initial cabin had plumbing issues and(coincidentally) was the owner/mgt’s favorite. We walked in as the temp controlled fire place was already running, but still pretty chilly throughout the cabin. Immediately unloaded the vehicle, unpacked and turned on the floor board heaters in the kitchen dining area and the bedroom. The cabin overall was a cozy and charming place; however, the first night was a really night in which we both had to wear thick socks, sweaters and scarves to keep warm or sit right next to the fireplace to thaw out. For dinner the first night we were getting ready to cook and discovered they didn’t have cooking oil, so don’t assume they have everything! We then had to bundle up again, get in the vehicle & take a trip to Family Dollar. Picked up a few other items we thought we could use as Family $$ has several very inexpensive items avail. Back home, still chilly in parts of the cabin, we cooked up a nice dinner and ate by the fireplace. We decided to sleep in the two twin beds on the loft since it was warmest place in the cabin. TV on the loft didn’t work; remote missing a battery, but replace w one of the remotes downstairs and still didn’t work. No wifi(only at the main office) — blotchy signal for cell phone and internet. Anyway fairly a restful night, woke up and started to make coffee hoping to brew 6 cups, come to find out it only brewed 4 and hardly warm. I had to microwave my coffee cup immediately after I poured into a cup. In addition, there were no dish/hand towels in the kitchen. We felt we were wasting tons of paper towels in two days! Used handsoap to wash dishes since the dish soap was added w other soap that looked muddy-gross! There was one hand towel from the bathroom we were able to use. Later that evening, we decided to have a drink across the highway at Wild Woman Saloon and decided to buy a bottle of wine to bring back w/us. Came back to the cabin ready to crack open the wine and NO wine opener! Are you kidding me?! I decided to ask our neighbors and they graciously came over and said to keep it at our place since they were wise to bring their own. Had a nice dinner and wine night and another restful sleep. Dropped the keys off before the office opened and headed back to the valley. I think we’ll try another cabin resort next time. I think it was over priced overall.

Unilocal should give people the ability of giving no stars because this cabin doesn’t deserve even one star. My three friends and I just spent a night(Sat. Jan. 12, 2013) at the Secret Escape cabin… and it should remain a secret! A BIGSECRET. You could only feel the heat put out from the gas fireplace if you sat directly in front of it and the floorboard heaters were no better. We resorted to getting most of our heat from the oven and stove top burners and spent the entire time in the cabin with our coats, scarves, and gloves on. The problem was reported but not resolved. The cabin heating, etc. should have been checked prior to renting the cabin.
