Ken and the entire staff were incredibly helpful in resolving an issue that came up with a customer car. Excellent communication reasonable prices and quality workmanship made a very difficult situation much much easier to handle.
As an automotive business owner for over 15 years now — I know it really helps to have the right people — and these are the right people in Oroville!

I am from Virginia and took a road trip across the country, somehow ending up in Oroville, California. From what we saw and heard about the area I was very hesitant to trust any mechanic, especially since I don’t know anyone near by to ask for advice, but I knew my car would need some service before attempting the drive back home.
I did my research, hoping to find someplace that seemed trustworthy within a 50 mile radius and Braun’s was the one that continued to show up with all positive reviews. When I stopped in to ask a few questions, I could immediately tell these guys had been in the business for a while and knew what they were doing. They even found time to take a look at my car the very next morning! I had quite a few concerns with my car, I knew it would need an oil change and tire rotation, and I was concerned that it might need new brakes and rotors. The AC had also stopped working and my check engine light was on. Yikes!
Now being a girl, I know a lot of mechanics that will jump at the opportunity to either over charge for something or do an unnecessary repair, because they can get away with it. I know my car, I know my parts, I just don’t have the space or tools here to work on it. I don’t even leave reviews that often but the honesty of these guys blew me away! They took care of the oil change and tire rotation, letting me know that my brakes are just fine when they very easily could’ve charged me for a new set! The fix on the AC was going to be very costly and I am very glad they called to let me know the price, rather than just going ahead and doing it. They even found my oil leak I’ve had for years and no one else could find.
I am so glad I took my car to Braun’s. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and their prices aren’t bad. I feel much more confident about driving back across the country now that they have done a safety inspection and taken care of any major issues. Thanks guys!

Captive audience… summertime with a full car and the kids… typical target for a bruising… got on the phone with me and AAA to find me … fellow showed up immediately … calmed me down … took his time … gave me options … agreed to tow me all the way back to Marin if he had to… but figured out how to mazimize my coverage and get me in my car safely if possible. Back at Braun they gave the kids ice creams … were respectful and responsive … gave me options and made absolutely certain I was good to go before they sent me on my way … two hours total on a Friday afternoon from the moment I pulled over until I was back on the road! And the price was EXTREMELY fair. THANK YOU!!! :)

Had a car towed to Braun’s for a set of brakes that didn’t work at all. They couldn’t reproduce the problem and only charged me half their normal diagnostic rate. They could have easily told me the car had serious brake issues and charged me a ridiculous amount, instead they figured out the fluid may have boiled from the heat, checked the car was safe, and had me on my way the same day they looked at it.

My family has been going to Braun’s auto repair shop for over 20 years. They always give an honest price, and they often charge less than expected. They are incredible detectives in trying to understand what is wrong with a car. I currently live a five-​hour drive from Braun’s, so it can be difficult to get back to Oroville to have my car fixed. But when I know that my car needs repair that is not an emergency, I try to time car repairs for when I travel «home» to the Oroville area for Braun’s dependable services.
