I stopped for take-​out lunch today for my boss and I. I ordered the General Tso chicken lunch dish. It came with egg drop soup, rice, and an egg roll. It was good, It seems like it would have been better to eat in because everything was served in a nice bento style tray. It looked more appetizing. I guess this is the case many times when you order take out. The good was flaky and good, the rice was cooked well, the General Tso was just ok, and the chicken pieces were cut too big. It was a good deal for 8.00, I was full for the rest of the day. The restaurant was small, but inviting. I’d like to go back and eat in.

We had friendly, helpful staff and excellent service. Four of us shared 3 dishes, which was plenty of food. Glad we tried the honey walnut chicken. It was delicious. We definitely will return.

We eat here regularly. It is the most flavorful and consistently good Chinese food I’ve found in Tucson. The owner is always on the premises, and her staff is excellent.
What I love most is the choice of heat levels. You can order from one through four. A level four is not for the faint of heart, but it’s still not stupid-​hot. It will make your nose run though. It beats the heck out of vague «make it extra spicy» requests.

There are very few Taiwanese restaurants around Tucson and this one is definitely the best. It is totally worth to come for an awesome meal despite of the distance from downtown. Order their fried rice (chicken, pork, beef or seafood) if you have not tried it yet. They literally have the very most delicious fried rice in Tucson. Their Mongolian dishes and honey walnut shrimp are also highly recommended!

Very friendly service and the owner was great. She recommended the black bean flounder and Mongolian beef and BBQ pork fried rice. We tried everything and enjoyed our meal very much. We will definitely be back! The location is a bit out of the way in a small remote shopping area near Sun City.

This is a hyped up place if I ever heard of one. I got some noodles and veggies and my boyfriend ordered pad Thai. It sure was not pad Thai, it was kind of pink. My food was mediocre.

Our waitress Janelle was very nice. She was very knowledgable about the menu. The owner Lin was there also. She came over to welcome us over to the restaurant. This is the cutest mom and pop place ever.
She recommended the black bean flounder fish. It so so fresh ! Just the right amount of spice. And lot of fresh veggies. This was a filling fish dish that didn’t make me feel like I ate too much. It was a good feeling.
As for my husband. He always get chop suey. He loves the fresh veggies. And the chicken was tender and moist.
I love this place
Also the portions are huge so you will definitely have left overs or it is perfect for family style dinners.

One of Oro Valley’s hidden treasures. Great variety of food all prepared fresh and exactly how you like it. I like my Pad Thai extra spicy so I usually go with level 3 heat. Go level 4 if you’re feeling daring!
You won’t be disappointed if you eat here. Just go and do your tastebuds a favor. Prices are reasonable as well, with excellent $ 8.50 lunch specials.

We stopped by after a visit to the Biosphere and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious, we got the lunch combinations, and the service was quick and attentive. The owner is friendly and we had a nice meal after walking around the biosphere for a couple hours. I’d definitely eat here again next time we’re in the area.

High hopes, low delivery. The service was super friendly and fast and that was about the only positive. I have no issue with paying money — even a lot of money — for good food, but I don’t like to pay more than average for less than average.
The best thing on the menu was the shrimp fried rice — that was actually delicious. The broccoli in the beef and broccoli was under cooked, and the chicken mushroom something was just that — something I’m not sure but with a very bad aftertaste.
There are not a lot of restaurants in Oro Valley and so was excited to try something new. Too bad this was a «swing and a miss». You’d be better off hitting up the panda express and saving a few bucks.

Wonderfully locally owned restaurant! Not only is the food delicious but the service is great too. We’ve dined in & done take out — the owner always greets us with a smile & now remembers our «usual» orders & names.
The lunch bento box is my favorite! It comes with soup, rice, entrée, egg roll & dumplings. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.
We will continue to come here for lunch & dinner! Honestly, the staff & service is what makes this place for us. They aim to please & are so on top of things — we will continue to come here as long as they’re open! Highly recommend to anyone & everyone!

I have been wanting to check this place out for some time now and was pleasantly rewarded.
The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in door. The place is a little on the small side but that only lends to intimate feel you get when your there. I had the red Thai curry and I enjoyed it very much. My meal was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh, the beef was tender and thinly sliced. I am glad I tried Grain River Asian Bistro and I think you will be too.

Great locally owned family restaurant. The staff is really polite and courteous. The food is consistently great and the bar menu is very good as well. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is suitable for a date night or the whole family provided your kids aren’t monsters. Keep your patronage local and give it a try.

Great service. Friendly staff. The owner came by and hung out with the kids. No kids menu but we got two plates of sweet and sour chicken for 5 little ones (ages 4 – 8) which they happily shared. Kids loved the fish tank.

The service here is fantastic; great family attitude with the most polite children of the owner helping with the restaurant duties.
The food portions were generous! They offer a lunch menu on the weekends too. A full bento box for about $ 8, and that includes soup too. The main portion is very generous with meat and vegetables.
I would definitely come here again for both the service and the food.

The food here is very good, however, the spice levels are on a scale of 1 – 3. I love spicy food so ordered a 3. About 10 seconds into my main course I was really feeling it.
I’ve since been back and toned it down to a 2 which was perfect.

This is a hidden gem in Oro Valley!!! The food is amazing and the owner is so very nice! I cannot believe that I didn’t know about this place until now.
We tried the Thai Basil Chicken — amazing! We have also had the chicken fried rice, pad thai, chicken curry, Mongollian beef and all were super yummy!
