Amazing food and amazing service. It’s pricey for the area but you get the bang for your buck. Highly recommend.

Overall, this restaurant feels like they are shooting to be a high end 5 star restaurant but it felt like a neighborhood bar type of place. Highest price dish was $ 40 plus. I’m sorry to write this review but this restaurant just seems a little off. After coming to Ormond Beach for years and driving by this daily, I’ve never noticed this place. We went because of Unilocal reviews and it seemed promising. It was upstairs in a little shopping center. When we were half way up the stairs, the doors were opened for us and we were warmly welcomed. We were seated near the bar where we were the only table. Very promising! Our waiter came and asked for our drinks. We waited a bit for the menus. This was priced as a high end Italian restaurant, which fit in with with the décor and service as of yet. Then it all went downhill from there. They were out of the soup special that was just offered to us, out of the fish meal we first ordered. We took a minute to look at the menu and the waiter watched the bar TV close by while we decided. He would do this during every break between serving us. We ordered the linguini and clams and a salmon dish. We had first asked if we could get the salmon prepared like the fish we originally ordered(white sauce) but he just kept saying oh the red sauce? We ended up getting the red sauce. He asked us if we were visiting and then asked us what we did for work. Nice enough but when I said my line of work, he looked at me in disgust and said that sounded terrible and continued to go on how he doesn’t have a cell phone or computer and people are too addicted to their phones. It was offensive to me and my work during what was supposed to be a nice, intimate meal. With a classier server, I’d probably rate this 3 stars and recommend this as a social place to try, or come back to try it again, although the prices are still very high for the quality. This guy was very sarcastic throughout the meal, when he wasn’t watching the TV. At some points he said«we’d hate our food».(Sarcastic, I think but not far from the truth). The manager was cleaning up at the(empty) bar and was really friendly as well. Unfortunately, at several points it was interrupting an in depth, serious conversation to talk about himself. It was nice he was trying to relate to us but the timing of it was not great. This almost could be a nice date night place… but is not. We wondered when they would bring the bread. They ended up bringing mediocre bread and we were told they normally don’t do this because«they» don’t want us to fill up on it and it’s normally $ 2 to order it. The butter was too cold to spread. After we took our first bite of food, within 1 minute, the waiter asked how the food was. Then the other waiter. Then the manager. It was really too much. When the desserts came out, we were already full and I felt like they tried to pressure to get desserts(yes, all 3 were there). The clams were gritty, the taste was bland, the red sauce didn’t seem to fit with the salmon, vegetables were also plain. The salmon itself was cooked to perfection, although it was a small portion for the price. The price wasn’t close to worth the food. On a higher note, the bottles of beer were $ 5. Good place to go for a beer!

What a perfect evening we had here! Celebrating my man’s birthday I reserved a cozy table for us which didn’t end up being needed on a Friday night at7pm as there were only 3 other couples there. The place is very cozy and old school with Frank Sinatra playing and real Italians in the back. We ordered a nice bottle of amarone and settled on for a romantic. .deliciois.4 course meal. We started with the housemade burrata. A delicate mozzarella with a creamy center served with beefcake tomato. .grilled asparagus and a balsamic glaze. Even the pickiest of us(him) liked it. For the second course we had the penne a la vodka. Not being big eaters we asked them to split it and we still both received generous portions. For dinner he had the rack of lamb… chargrilled to a delicious mid rare doneness served with a nice assortment of steamed vegis. For me I had the veal scallopini. .served with the most delicious butter caper sauce I’ve ever had anf dame steamed VegS as his. Talk about delicious entrees! For dessert we got the molton chocolate cake served with berries and ice cream delivered by the 3 charming waiters singing happy birthday. It was a delicious… lingering. indulgent evening and perfect for the occasion. Much thanks to the staff for making it so!

Had dinner at Toscana on Easter Sunday with my family. Food, service and experience was fantastic. I read some reviews that mention it’s not a great restaurant for children, but I completely disagree. Courteous and fun staff(especially Maitre D’) that went out of their way to make sure my three kids were well taken care of. Food was spectacular, especially after visiting a certain Italian restaurant in New Smyrna Beach a few nights before. Best restaurant between Ormond and NSB.

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Must try the specials. Awesome wine selections. The seafood pasta is delicious. Chef Tony insists on the most delicious and authentic dishes. An absolutely must in the Daytona Beach area.

We went last night with friends and honestly, we’ve had better food and service elsewhere. The waiter, Chance, was overly pushy and pretentious, over-stating each and every ingredient in the dishes on the special list. What a talker and salesman! Plus, we tried ordering 3 different bottles of mid-priced wine from the wine list. Each time we chose a wine, we were advised they were out of it. Instead, he tried to substitute a higher priced wine all 3 times. There were 7 people at our table and we had to ask for more bread no less than 4 times. Each time they brought out a basket with only 2 slices in it, stating more is on the way. The fish was good; the calamari was awful; the veal chop was good, but the pasta and sauce dishes were mediocre at best. In summary, it’s a 2 or 3 star restaurant that thinks they are a 5 star restaurant, attitude and price included. Not sure we’ll go back because we did not have a good dining experience here at all. We had to keep asking for bread, drinks, wine, etc. and the wait staff constantly interrupted our table conversation. It was not a relaxing dinner by any means. We were exhausted and broke by the time we left! Akkk!

My fiancé and I came in for Christmas dinner and had an absolutely phenomenal experience. I had the filet and he had the gnocchi. Both dishes were excellent, as well as the bread before the meal. The flourless chocolate cake was great too! The service was wonderful, and we can’t wait to come back!

Really good experience! I went with a group of about 30 people and all members where very pleased with the quality of food and how good they were treated! I order the fillet and was cooked to perfection! For dessert, we got tiramisu, chocolate cake and also crème brûlée… All really good! Food is excellent and service is great! A+ restaurant!

This location is a bit hard to find. Not for kids. The server very nice and a lovely Irish accent. Now as far as the food, outstandingly delicious. Had the veal scallopini with the dark mushroom sauce. The bread served before dinner hot and crunchy. This is our first time and would return when we are back in town.

Wow! Made reservations for 9 of us. Delicious Italian food, fabulous service. Will absolutely return. Been to many Italian restaurants and this one held up with the best of them.

Wish I had read the reviews before we went. Table of four in a restaurant that was about a third full. Service was horrible slow to the point that we were going to leave. We were seated then ignored no menus, no water, no bread. Others who came after us were served first. My first glass of beer was in a plastic Pilsner glass. Two stars for the Caesar salad and the taste of 3 out 4 plates. Linguine with clams was gritty and the wine hadn’t been cooked out. Portion are small. Chance, our waiter needs to work on his customer service. Never see me or my friends again, and we live here, so good service would have meant a reoccurring business. My suggestion go someplace else and enjoy a nice Italian dinner.

Food and service were definitely 5 star. Everything was fresh and prepared wonderfully. Staff was eager to please. The specials are something to look out for as they are unique. The location is a bit difficult to find but definitely well worth a visit.

The eggplant parm was stacked like a lasagna and baked. All the breading on the eggplant slices were soggy. I would have been much happier with a smaller serving size if they could have gotten it crispy and not soggy. The stuffed mushrooms and garlic bread were very good.

NOT a family resteraunt. No kid menus. No smaller sized glasses. Food is spectacular but portions are very small. Spent 250 for two adults, three kids. Three glasses of wine only and we had to stop for drive through just an hour later. Service is slow and less attentive than I would expect for a resteraunt that only had two tables going. Tough location. Top of a court yard. Elevator was not working. We are all able body but if my mother was with us she couldn’t have had dinner.

I’m sorry to say I was disappointed by Toscana. My husband and I recently ate there while away for our wedding anniversary, and it was not up to par. The service was polite but very slow, especially given that we dined on a Monday night and there were only two other tables there. The bread was teeth-chippingly hard. The food was too salty, and without alcohol and only one dessert, the bill was over $ 100. I was expecting much more based on the reviews, ratings, and décor.

I would love to say my husband and I tried Toscana, sadly though we decided to cancel our reservation for Valentines Day after I was told our table would only be held for FIVEMINUTES and then be given away! I understand it is a holiday, but we are driving almost 45 minutes and paying a decent amount of money to dine at your establishment, I don’t think telling your customers that the table will only be held for 5 minutes(Gramercy Tavern in NYC doesn’t even do that!) makes a great impression & honestly terrified us as to what the actual meal would be like. Sorry Toscana, this is terrible customer service!

Wow! Just when I thought our 2 favorite other Italian restaurants in Daytona Beach, were worth coming here from CA for, along comes this one. It is so perfectly mouth watering and the service is spectacular. Three amazing Italian restaurants in one town is more than I had ever dreamed of. We live in a yuppified town in the SF Bay area, and the ones we go to there don’t come close to matching these. Food: We began with caesar salad with perfect dressing the first time, but not subsequently, and fresh roasted red pepper appetizer with fresh anchovies. Over the three times we’ve had dinner there we’ve tried the fettucini bolognese(I loved it, though the pasta was not homemade and was beyond al dente and stuck together), spaghetti puttanesca(my husband loved it) house special pasta in a red cream sauce with a slash of vodka in it(my favorite thing there which I will get every single time!!),. My hubby and I among other things, shared the bronzino special last night. Our waiter, Mike, is wonderful. He deboned the bronzino table side and beautifully arranged it on two plates for us with excellent mashed potatoes. And for dessert last night we each had a slice of their ricotta lemon cheesecake. Definitely the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. It was quite reserved in the sweetness department(very Italian) thus dryer than regular cheesecake. This cheesecake is epic —– and I might add lower in calories than the usual rich type of cheesecake. Service: spectacular. perfect timing. everything just right! Atmosphere: very comfortable padded good sized chairs, nice lighting, very mellow and refined. This restaurant is not the easiest to find, so fire up your GPS and prepare to go around the block if you miss the turn. The entrance is in the back and you have to turn into a road just before the restaurant. The getting there process is WELL worth it! Ormond Beachers, you just gotta check this out! .

Did not live up to the hype based on the previous reviews. This is based on service and food, and I typically consider myself a generous reviewer. Pros: Caesar salad was very good(did not order the table side service because the waitress said it’s the exact same thing but $ 4 more per person). Vodka pasta was also very delicious, I finished it all. Mushroom risotto was my girlfriend’s entrée and she enjoyed it. Cons: the service was very slow, we were seated promptly without reservations but we weren’t given menus until at least 15 minutes later. My girlfriend ordered the lobster risotto but instead was given the mushroom risotto. When we asked the waitress she immediately said it was the lobster risotto but after we repeated that it was not in fact lobster she conceded that she placed the order incorrectly. She did nothing however to rectify her error. No visit from a manager, no comp of the in error entrée or any other offering. Additionally the beef carpaccio was just OK. Overall pretty good food, perhaps unlucky service but in our minds not worth returning for.

I don’t know how else to describe Toscana other than delicious! We went for my sister-in-law’s birthday and were pleasantly surprised at the high quality food. I love that include organic ingredients where possible! Highly recommend the award winning caesar salad and the saffron risotto with lobster and crab meat! Homemade gelato for dessert rounded out the evening for sure. Only complaint would be the lighting. It sounds silly but my Mom was stuck sitting under what can only be described as a spotlight while the rest of us dined in very dim lighting. The waiter was very accommodating and attempted to adjust them a few times but it seems that the right combo wasn’t really possible without the rest of the place being in utter darkness. I hope more people go here because we were the only ones in the place for a decent portion of the evening. I hate that people in Ormond complain there are no good restaurants and then when one comes along, they never go! Please people, go! This place is amazing and I am so already craving a revisit.

Great Italian food, lovely ambience This discreet restaurant is a real gem in Ormond Beach. It was not easy to find in the dark as a visitor to the area, but once found I liked the old feel of the place. The server was a busybody but took care of us when we needed him. The crabcake was very fresh and tasty. The bread was nice, though there was no oil to go with it. The caesar salad was top notch; one of the best salads i have ever had. I did not particularly care for the veal, but it was my first time ever having veal so I have nothing to compare it to. Despite that the dining experience was delightful and will try again next time I am in the area.
