Genovese’s Italian Cafe

We are from new York and have had no luck with pizza. Untill now. We ordered delivery and food was hot fresh and delicious. We also got the meatball sub and that as well was exceptional.

Really good sauce. A little thicker like papa johns if that’s what you like this is a really good pizza (to much bread for me personally). We also had a Philly cheesesteak which was above average. If you like really thin NY style then try Bruno’s in Daytona.

Excellent meat pizza. Atmosphere a little loud but over all a good experience. Wait staff friendly & just right attentive.

Been coming here for years, but was not aware of Genovese’s. The two of us split a spinach salad and veggie Stromboli. My wife also had bruschetta for a starter. The salad would have been enough for both of us. Fresh spinach, green peppers, onion, etc… We took half of the Stromboli home. It was outstanding. I was pouting when we went in because I wanted a sports bar… burger and fries. Now I cannot wait to get back to this place! Highly recommend!

Vacationing from Ohio, but raised on the east coast, we really wanted pizza, but wanted east coast pizza. After reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. Place was packed, but server was attentive and found us a spot in the back. Kat was our server and led us in the right direction around the menu. We had the deep dish pizza which honestly was one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The service was fantastic our glasses were never empty. Even though the place was packed Kat did an awesome job of keeping up with the tables needs. Other members of the party got pasta dishes and were equally satisfied with the meal. The salads on the next table looked awesome and wish we had ordered them too! Will definitely return when I come back down this way.

I ordered a meat Stromboli and it was as big as a football. I ate on it for 3 days. It was delicious. The sauce was good, and the wait staff was friendly.

I was very happy with this place. Came on Christmas Eve and was able to get a table. Ordered veal parm and spaghetti… comes with soup or salad. I opted for salad. I ended up taking half of the veal and spaghetti home (it was a lot). The quality of the food was good. The sauce was great but as one other reviewer mentioned… a tad too much sauce on the spaghetti… but I was ok with that. Had a couple of pints of yuengling with dinner. Pricing was good on the food and ok on the beer.
I got a bowl of the wedding soup to go. It was awesome. A little pricey but it was darn good.
Waitress was great. Overall service was good.
I ordered a large sausage and green pepper pie a couple of nights later. The girl on the phone didnt give me a pick up time (I shouldve asked)…so I showed up about 20 minutes later. Ultimately I would say it took about 40 minutes to get. I didnt have a problem with that. They were slammed that night (Saturday night). The pizza was good. I’ve had better… but I have definitely had worse. If I were in the area again… I would order a pizza from them… lets leave it at that.

One of the best places I have eaten at. There is daily specials that are made with love everything is prepared daily for best flavor the pizza is the best around town and everybody that works there takes pride in everything they do and I should no because I am the chef and my family eats out once a week at this fabulous italian restraunt so come on in and become a regular because we absolutely love are community and feeding everybody u will be pleased trust me

Great food, great prices. Great service. Best deal in Daytona area. Had lasagna, it was awesome, even the bread worth the calories.

It was excellent… Italian wedding soup was awesome as well as the bruschetta!
We were just passing through around lunch time so I Unilocaled lunch.
We were very pleased and the waiter was superb!

This place is really good! I originally wanted delivery but the phone line was down. Not their fault. So despite my true laziness I got up and went to make a to go order. I’m glad I did. The place was really cute. The set up for to go orders was weird but it worked.
I ordered chicken parm, spaghetti, side salad, and garlic broccoli. It came with bread too. I like it a lot. The food was really good. They put a bit too much sauce (and I love sauce) but at least they gave me bread. The portions were very generous and I have plenty of left overs.
The only thing was they forgot to give me silverware and napkins and I’m on vacation so I had to go search for some. Thankfully the lobby in my hotel had some.
All around I liked the place a lot. There were stores near by to look around while I waited for my food and a starbucks too. When I come back I will definitely stop back in!

Great food and great service! I would go back. We had the pizza and garlic bread. The slices were large and we ended up taking most back to the hotel. The waiter which was the only one but it was lunch and there weren’t many people there was very welcoming.

What can I say about Genovese. Still one of the best around after the fine, hot delicious, thin crust cheese pizza my family enjoyed today. Real NY style the crust was perfect. I’d give it a 8 – 9 on a 1 – 10 scale. Close to perfection. An old local favorite we been frequenting Genovese for over twenty yrs close to thirty and it’s been pretty consistent but today better than avg. always a great beachside Italian vibe and good service and menu. The Italian combo sub another good choice. They deliver eat in or take out.

It is an over used term but this is truely the best Italian restaurant in the Ormond Beach area. The food is not that same bland offering others have and the staff is personable and efficient though you still get the standard server clichés. «What are we having?» «I’ll be right back with that.»
The bottom line, good food at a fare price.

Friendliest staff around great service and food. Had the meatballs and the Italian salad delicious and fresh and the pizza was good too!

We were staying on the beach and decided to order in. We called Lenny’s NY Pizza. After being put on hold twice and waiting for over 30 minutes, my husband suggested Geovese’s Italian Café. They answered right away and we ordered a Café Combo pizza and a Antipasto salad. We were told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. The food arrived within 30 minutes nice and hot.
When I went to pay, I asked the driver if he would get the tip. He responded «Yes mam, not only do they make good food but they take care of their employees.
Now, about the food. It was one of the best pizza’s we have had in some time. Normally if it was really good, I wouldn’t write about it. You know, one of those secrets you don’t want gettting out. But seeing how we’re on a mini vaca, I see no harm in letting the secrete out. You’ve gotta give this place a try. As for the salad. Oh my goodness. it was move than big enough for two.
So, in conclusion this place is a definite must do if you are in or around Ormond Beach.

Mine and my husband’s new Italian spot in town. The food is amazing, the service is amazing, and the prices are really good for what you get.
We had the Club pizza with extra crispy crust — let’s just say the order was perfect. The crust crisp, the toppings yummy. We were satisfied.
Also their draft beers have amazing deals. We got a pitcher for $ 8 — nice and ice cold and a LARGE pitcher, not one of those small ones, with a cooler built into the pitcher.
Great food, great atmosphere — definitely our new go to for Italian cuisine

Genovese’s is my favorite pizza in Ormond Beach.
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been, and sometimes a closer spot and convenience wins out, but if I had my choice, it would be here.
The veggie pizza is awesome, and always came with fresh garlic, that just made the entire pie.
Nice sized Greek salad, filled with all the usual add-​ons as well.
Delivery used to take 45+, but it may be different now. Guess I’ll have to order and find out!

We ordered the café combo pizza in a large. The middle was a bit soggy but there was a lot of toppings on the pie. The beverage glasses are huge. Next time, off ask them to cook the middle more.
