Meh sums it up. The food was okay, the atmosphere very weird-aqua. Nothing interesting. Service slow, the type of service where the waitresses care more about cleaning the empty table next to you than taking your order.

Terrible experience from the first moment to the last. Our children hated EVEN the french fries. Imagine the rest. The coleslaw tasted absolutely disgusting and was made of pineapple(???) The seafood plates are children’s sizes… Worst restaurant in cape cod. It’s definitely a tourist trap, with its fake and kitschy décor.

This was by far the absolute WORST meal I’ve ever had. My sons macaroni and cheese looked like it came from a box of KRAFT and had been sitting out for who knows how long, served with a cup of applesauce stuck in the Mac n cheese… health code violation? Dry steak, couldn’t even eat it. We paid $ 100 for 3 adults and 1 kids meal. What a waste. Terrible terrible meal.

Old-school throwback place — kitschy decorations, paper placemat/menus and faux netting everywhere. The prices were not particularly retro however; but it’s not trying to be that much more than a fried seafood place. We actually got a broiled plate of scallops, shrimp and haddock and it was quite tasty. Our daughter’s pasta was underwhelming

Cute place! Service was pretty adequate. Food was quick, but pretty good! Ambiance is pretty typical for a seafood place(I happen to like it). There’s an adjacent gift shop that’s worth a peek!

I agree with the other reviews that this place is a complete tourist trap. How or why people wait just for a table here is beyond me. I feel like the food quality rivals that of Denny’s and so does the service or lack thereof. My family members had the lobster newberg(sp?) and it just looked like a mess. I had the grilled chicken as I am not a fan of seafood and I could have cooked something more appetizing as that. The service was super slow and numerous times our waitress told us that our order was up next but then we would see other tables getting serviced before us. I would not go back here nor recommend it.

It’s a tourist trap, that’s for sure. You can do better on the Cape. Small, expensive boiled lobsters, overcooked corn, bland french fries. It’s a good place for families with small children, mostly because you shouldn’t feel too bad if they make a mess — no one will notice! In all seriousness, I’ve eaten here many times. The food hasn’t changed in 15 years. It’s merely average seafood fare, in a kitschy atmosphere. It’s not terrible, but it’s not a great value, either. The waitstaff is generally friendly, it’s easy to get a table(even for large groups), and the food is adequate. Just don’t go expecting to be blown away by fresh, artisan preparations of local seafood. You can create 99% of this stuff in your own kitchen. While the fried lobster I had was nice, there was far too little actual lobster meat for the price paid. My wife had the swordfish and was not impressed, saying it was extremely bland — even visually, it appeared to have been frozen at one point. I’ll bring my kids here again, mostly because they like the tchotchke’s in the gift shop, but once they’re older, we’ll skip the Lobster Claw and head elsewhere.

I really love this place ! Their clam Chowder is excellent and they serve a mean baked stuff lobster which is honestly a must at this place. The last time I was here however the service was a little slow and not much meat in the lobster but overall the meal was good. They also have great beers on tap like local cape cod ones that you should definitely try. This really is a great place to eat and super convenient for most people.

Listen, if you’re looking for a classic Lobster dinner, you can’t go wrong with Lobster Claw. The lobsters are fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is really cool, and really in the classic New England beach tradition. It’s all about having fun times, and eating Lobster. If you’re expecting more, you just sound pretentious. It’s not the best restaurant in the world, but it’s worth the money and the experience.

Restaurant was not quite half full, bad sign on Friday night on Cape Cod. Service was slow and not very helpful. There were three of us, each had a different broiled fish dinner, but each had the same experience, food was tasteless. Immediately we all said, «is this fresh or from frozen!?» Atmosphere is classic touristy Cape Cod, so that is fun. Too bad it’s not just a bar…

Absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever been to! Slowest service, burnt food to the point it was uneatable, ½ to just order meal, 1 hour for drinks and 2 hours for food… the food was extremely bad quality for the prices. I highly recommend to go to another restaurant and for the owner to find new management and more staff. I repeat do not go to this restaurant! Waste of time & money!!!

Pretend that is the two and a half stars above I was unable to create. I have mixed feelings about this place. While one in our party had a generously portioned dinner of delicious fried clam strips, the best fresh hot French fries, and cole slaw just the way we like it, the other two had boiled whole lobsters that were tough and tasteless along with over-cooked corn on the cob, so so baked potatoes(without enough butter or sour cream) but served with the same good tasting cole slaw. They were the first lobsters of our trip to New England and what a disappointment! The service was adequate; our meals came out quickly, but I wouldn’t call anyone working there very warm and fuzzy. We will be trying fried clams elsewhere but if they are not as good, we will be back for more fried clams and French fries here. Oh, and I wish they had Heinz ketchup for those!

Slow service, mostly the usual typical fries food fare. We got the stuffed shrimp and fried lobster and both were good but TINY portions of the good stuff — they want you to fill up on fries and coleslaw which we didn’t get.

I downloaded Unilocal just to leave this review… My entire party found their food to be average for a roadside stand at best, with a $ 75 per couple price tag. The worst part though was the service. It was the slowest, most unfriendly service I have experienced in Cape Cod to date.

Went into the Lobster Claw on a Sunday night for dinner and all I can say was what a great idea! This place is very unique, lobster traps and cute blue booths make up a great décor that is warm and inviting. We started off with Oysters, Little Necks and Steamers and they were all very large portions, fresh and delicious. The drawn butter was endless and the wine was tasty. I ended up getting a Boiled Lobster which was very big and super fresh! My friends got the Fisherman’s Platter which was too big to finish. Also, a Lobster salad sandwich which was plentiful and scrumptious :-) I would recommend this place for anyone who loves seafood and a fun atmosphere. I would definiely come back.

Just not good. Food is bland, overcooked, tired. Service is slow and not customer-oriented. And the décor is tacky and juvenile. Save your money, ask the locals, they do not eat here. Clam chowder is out of a huge can… yuck! Same tired menu. We really miss the Eastham Lobster Pool! Do yourself a favor, and drive a few miles down the road to the Friendly Fisherman(outside eating only).

The food was absolutely terrible, the staff was equally terrible and then there were random items on our bill that we were charged for and didn’t order. Pay attention to the reviews because this place is deceivingly cute, but I would never come back or recommend it unless they get a new cook and wait staff.

We chose this place and ignored the reviews because we figured it was just picky people. Pay attention to the reviews. Food is mediocre(includes hair, overcooked, undercooked) service is okay(some good, some bad/rude), billing is all messed up — charged for food we didn’t order or receive. Could use some new management and cooks. Worst part, everyone left unhappy and messed up the mood for our final day of vacation. We’re normal Joes from all over the U.S. All that said, the shrimp bloody Mary and chowder was pretty darn good.

I didn’t check the reviews prior to stopping here for dinner, a mistake I will not make again. Raw oysters had shells in them. Mac’n’cheese came from Kraft’s blue box. Clam chowder disguised its fishy blandness by scalding the tongue — served VERY hot with big chunks of clam and potato. Garden salad was the most satisfying part, which is surprising given how uninspired it was. A heaping pile of crisp romaine with a slice of red pepper, a slice of tomato and a slice of cucumber. I have to find something good to say about this place. We were seated immediately upon entering. Our server was friendly. My daughter liked the boat oar that was repurposed into a stair handrail… Overall, it’s a touristy place. Mr. Cricket’s next door is a much better choice for food quality, and they have fried oysters.

I am giving these guys four stars for a number of reasons but mainly because the deliver what they offer themselves to be. It’s touristy. It’s for families mostly. But it is damn good for what it is. Dinner with friends last night. Four people with dinner, drinks and apps around $ 150. Friend oyster special was massive as was fried calamari app. I could not even finish my fried seafood entrée which included whole bellies, sole, shrimp, and scallops. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their entrees. Again, there are better places for a fancy seafood dinner but if you want to get your tourist on,(and why not once in a while?), this is a great place. Service was friendly but did the place did appear to be a bit understaffed. During busy season on a Friday night that’s a bit inexcusable but I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Good food, good ambient, good service. I had a lobster, it was a big meal with sides. They also served crackers for apetizer. Full bar. Clean restaurant. Parking.
