Finally! Real Mexican food in Florida! I grew up California and have also lived in New Mexico so I have been spoiled with true authentic Mexican food. It seems like the more South and all along the East Coast and New England doesn’t know what real Mexican food is! Thank you for being here! I’ve tried the tacos and burritos and they’re awesome. Looking forward to coming back and making this one of my favorite go to’s.

Great authentic Mexican cuisine. The service and staff was very attentive as well. The price was the real MVP at the restaurant. I got 4 whole tacos and my girlfriend got a huge burrito and we had chips and salsa all for $ 15. You can’t beat it!

Wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes, prepared when ordered. Really flavorful, rich, and not too expensive! The perfect example of a hole in the wall, it’s our new favorite Mexican place.

This is a must stop if you enjoy true Mexican food. The food was great, service was exceptional and the atmosphere reminded me what you would find in Los Angeles. So many great options in the menu that you cannot make a wrong choice.

Finally good Mexican food in Florida! Really enjoyed the ceviche and the beans. Being from LA the Mexican food in florida never taste authentic as the one I’m used to, but this was very yummy and the staff was friendly.

There are hundreds of Hispanic food options in southern Orlando but none so far have come close to this one. They have the BEST pork tacos I I’ve ever tasted. The gordita was so good my son said it was like heaven in his mouth. The food is just delicious and the people working are so kind and despite our language barrier they do all they can to help. I now stop at least once a week. It’s hard not to stop every day when I drop my daughter off at dance just .2 miles away. Go here today. You can thank me by leaving a gift certificate there in my name. :-)

An authentic Mexican food gem. I had the chile rellenos and they were the best I’ve had in 20 years. It’s in a small strip mall and easy to pass up, but don’t!

This place was a bit of a disappointment for my boyfriend and I craving authentic Mexican food. We ordered, tacos de asada, tostada de ceviche, and a huarache de pastor. The best food item was the tostada. The carne asada was too salty, didn’t even finish the tacos. The pastor, not sure what it was but it was not the meat we ordered. The place was dirty, service was bad, and there’s no ac. They use a fan to keep the place cool. On top of all that, we left smelling like food! Wouldn’t come here again.

Amazing Thank you Unilocal for helping me to find this place. If you are not following a GPS you may drive right by before seeing it.(Like me) From the outside does not look like much, but service and food quickly overcome any doubts. Owner was our waiter and server. He recommended a family platter with various meats, all the tortillas and toppings we needed. Despite my wife’s misgivings(she had already decided on something else) that is what we went with. Including beverages and generous tip $ 60 for 6 people. What a bargain! Owner brought out 2 bowls of queso and fresh chips for appetizers. Platter included chicken, steak, pork, chorizo and shrimp served on a cast iron skillet like fajitas with onions and bell peppers. All of the meats were flavored excellently and platter was piled high with a more than generous quantity. Flour and Corn tortillas were freshly prepared and brought to table piping hot. He was determined to make sure my wife didn’t regret going along with the rest of us and kept bringing her special toppings, freshly made pineapple drinks and even dessert which seemed to be a cross between sopapilla and fried ice cream. I have no reservations about recommending this place if you are in the area. Would even be worth a short drive. Only negative was crowded seating due to size of the restaurant.

Oh Tacos Express! How much I love thee!!! I ordered the Molcajete(I think that’s how it’s spelled) for the first time and all I can say is «To Die For!!!». The portion was ridiculously large(for 2) and every bite was satisfying, A+ guys! I have nothing more to say at this point but to please try this place out, there is so much more to this restaurant than what meets the eye, you get the full Mexican experience here. I can’t wait till my next visit!

I was in Orlando visiting from Chicago. Looking for a quick meal down the street from our hotel. I walk in and instantly felt good about being there. The atmosphere was energetic as the staff was hard at work preparing food. I’m greeted almost instantly as I took a moment to decide what to order. As I’m trying to decide, the gentleman taking my order(the owner) quickly suggested the parrillada. Already being familiar with it I instantly agreed. Along the side of the kitchen you’ll find a salsa & condiment bar(don’t be shy to ask for bigger containers because you’ll only find small cups. I took the food to go and when I got back to hotel(10 minutes away), the food was still piping hot. Everything was seasoned perfectly and with good amount of beef, shrimp, chicken, carnitas(pork), & of course, chorizo. The homemade corn tortillas were a great surprise & much appreciated. I was offered the homemade horchata but didn’t try it this visit, but I will definitely be back! Great place to pick up dinner or to dine in. You will not be disappointed.

We stumbled into this joint by accident. My coworkers and I found this seafood place a block away on Unilocal.Unfortunately, they were out of seafood! Imagine that right? So we were so hungry and didn’t want to drive anymore, we looked for another place to have dinner on Unilocal and found Taco Express. This place did not disappoint! There’s this lovely lady(maybe the owner?), who moved all the way from Sacramento and used to work for Chipotle who was our server for the evening. She was very sweet and nice. We all shared the queso fundido, which was simply the bomb! Perfect way to start the evening for 3 very hungry people. I opted for 3 tacos, I know some people get grossed out by tripas(intestines) but I simply love it! When I saw it was available I immediately ordered 1 taco with tripas. I was definitely not disappointed! Typically tripas is served all chopped up, but theirs was served in nice crispy chunks similar to Filipino Chicharon Bulaklak(ruffled intestines). If I go back to Orlando, will definitely be back to this place!

Awesome Mexican restaurant in a very unsuspecting location. It’s right off OBT across from Fields BMW between another small strip mall and a used car dealership. The food here is simply amazing. The tortillas are definitely the homemade variety and the meat is seasoned perfectly. The staff there is very welcoming and friendly, as well. We came during a lunch rush so at times the restaurant’s ventilation was not enough so we ended up smelling like food when we left. Definitely still will return.
