This is probably my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom. It’s probably my favorite ride in all of the Disney World. I’m not a huge fan of water rides, but this one is special to me. I remember growing up and begging my parents to go on this ride. They, themselves didn’t care for water rides either, at least my dad took me on it. The line for the ride is very interesting. You walk through a large area in the back of the attraction, then it moves into the building which houses the ride. Disney is so great at theming the lines. You enter into the building which is an old mill on a river. The line them moves down into a cave which is in the mountain, of course. You’ll see a bunch of pictures with Br’er Fox, Br’er Bear and Br’er Rabbit. The ride will seat 8 people per log, 2 people and 4 rows. We rode it with my 4 year old nephew and we fit my brother-in-law, nephew and myself in the front row. My nephew was right above the size regulation line, he could barely see over the front of the log. The length of the ride is 11 minutes, which is crazy in theme park rides. You really get immersed in the ride. The ride has a few different smaller falls that work you up to the main, 52 foot fall. The music and the scenery are some of my favorite things about Splash Mountain. I also like that even though its a water ride, sometimes, you won’t get too wet.

Love Splash Mountain, just don’t do it too much. I did it almost every day over the course of seven days, and I got sick of it. It’s fun to do at night and when no one else wants to. I don’t really know the character references, but I guess that’s part of the appeal. A must do at DW.

OK, OK. This is definitely a must do while at Walt Disney World. It’s different than the one in Disneyland because you could actually sit down next to the person that you are going with. In Disneyland, you cannot sit next to anybody because it’s a log and you sit by yourself but maybe the person could sit behind you. Here you could go with two people next to each other. It’s fun, so it’s slow at times but you definitely get too drops! The first one is a good preview of what the last one is. I have to admit, I was afraid. I was very scared of that long drop, especially after seeing it from the outside. Everybody assured me it would be OK. It is actually very thrilling when you do drop 50 feet at the end. It’s fun, it’s a classic, it is well worth it and I would highly suggest that even if you get wet! Have fun!

So everyone knows about this ride and what it does and of course it’s amazing just as much as the rest of Disney, I would like to let everyone know about the service that I encountered after the ride, but first a small prequel to before we even got on. My daughter who is 5, her name is Audrey and we had just gotten off haunted mansion ride and that was awesome she says daddy my tooth is wobbly, check top tooth that we know has been loose for some time now, «no daddy this 1» points to It. Sure enough I wiggled it and it popped right out. Anyways on to my compliment for LEIGHANN. So after splash mountain she’s telling us our photo is this 1 and for $ 20.84 I believe we can have a 5×7 or a 8×10…we choose the 5×7 and 4 wallets, and as she’s telling us prices Audrey says I lost my first tooth. LEIGHANN looks at us and says to myself and my wife is it true? We say yes about 20 minutes ago. LEIGHANN says that calls for a celebration pin, she takes her time writing on the pin with some of the most beautiful writing I’ve ever seen. And then writes inside«Audrey lost her 1st tooth at magic kingdom» photo prints and as she is putting it in the folder I hand her my credit card, she says there’s no charge. My jaw about hit the floor, I spend thousands upon thousands of dollars at Disney between food tickets and hotel everytime we go, never have I received much more then a cup of water for free. Not only will I never forget when and where my daughter lost her first tooth, but I will also have a special token from disneyworld and LEIGHANN commemorating her special experience. Thank you LEIGHANN, you made that day MAGICAL!

A good way to cool off mid day. I seem to remember liking this ride better a World than land. At World you ride side by side while at land it is more of a log ride. If I recall right. If you want to get wet set closer to the front, the wetter you will get. One of my favorite ride in the park. Fast pass it if you can. Great ride with a good story and a nice way to cool off all in one. World better than Land

«Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay, my oh my what a wonderful day!» This is one of the mountain trinity of the Magic Kingdom and is my personal favorite of the three. Based on the animated segments of Disney’s «Song of the South» this 10min log flume ride takes you all through the briar patch following the antics of Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Bear, and Br’er Fox. This ride takes it’s cue from other Disney dark rides with animatronic characters populating the entire ride with a few dips, drips, water features, and then one big 5 story plummet into the briar patch. The ride also features a handful of songs from the film including«How Do Ya Do» «Ev’rybody’s Got a Laughin’ Place» and«Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.» I mentioned earlier water features and a big drop… that means you will get wet, possibly drenched so know that going in. I mean the word splash is in the title of the ride(and don’t get mad if you ride this in Dec, I’m warning you in advance)! This ride is Disney magic at its best and we love riding it(even in the cold months). I would urge you to get your FastPass for this ride as I have seen the stand by line for this attraction stretch well past a 60min wait.

This is just like the Splash Mountain in Anaheim, but slightly longer and nicer. Yes, nicer. It seems like they actually do a lot of maintenance here and the colors on the animotronics were really vibrant and not faded like the ones in Anaheim. This ride has always been a favorite as a child, so it was a wonderful experience to try a different variation of it and I actually found this one to bring out the child in me once more. You will get a bit wet, but not too much, but since it’s so hot here, you really won’t mind. I do suggest getting a fast pass on this one as you might be waiting awhile otherwise. This version of the ride actually has bigger seats/more seats so it’s a bit more comfortable. Love it!
