It takes a lot to impress me with Mexican or even Tex Mex food. There is complimentary valet. I really liked their dining area… we sat on the porch seating which overlooks a Florida lake or swamp. There are tvs for you to watch while you’re eating. Service is sort of lacking. the waiter sort of messed up on our appetizer orders and food was brought at all different times for our table of five. We ordered several things… — queso(we requested without meat but they charged the same amount as with meat. hmmm). they use real cheese. i don’t think it necessarily tasted better — ceviche. my friend got majorly sick from this. in fact it took days to get over her food poisoning — fish tacos. they were okay and grilled. — pork chorizo tacos. they were okay. but too much cheese. — side of vegetables. best deal of the night with a full little plate of green beans, peppers, and cauliflower. my favorite part! Not sure if I would go again unless it was for the vegetable plate. The food poisoning thing and the bad service kind of makes it difficult to overlook. Plus I am not in Florida very much so I probably want to try something else.

Outstanding food and service! The guac is out of this world. We are definitely regulars to this place and would recommend to anyone in the neighborhood looking for a fun night out.

Ambience, people, fire pit, lake in the back, and the dj jamming olé school is on JAM. But the food and drinks are over priced and I’ve had better Mexican food. No complimentary chips or salsa, those are $ 3+ each. Really, how much does chips and salsa cost? Seems to me they can afford to give each table at lest 1 round on them. Oh well, guess peeps are paying for the vibe and décor. But it’s neat that inside the restroom stall, they had a western playing on the tv.

What a let down! I’m not sure what we expected, but we went here for brunch, and the food is completely mediocre. It’s not authentic at all, and it is a chain restaurant. The server was super sweet, and the views are nice, but we had major food remorse! Everything is very greasy and the meat is that weird pressed chicken-type meat. Apparently they are know for the table side guac but after seeing that the chips were coated in some sort of red stuff, we opted out. We are from Arizona, so the standard for Mexican food is high, but this food is basically like Chilis with higher prices. The server was so nice and the view is great so I can’t give them lower than a 3, but the food in my opinion is maybe a 2.

I just really didn’t feel like Rocco’s Tacos lived up to the hype. Everything was decent, but nothing setting them apart. The restaurant itself is amazing to look around at. The décor and the intricate details of the wall hangings are incredible. I started out with the casamigos lemonade — lemon infused casamigos, agave, and club soda — very smooth and refreshing. We did the table side guacamole as recommended by everyone that has ever been there! It was delicious and had a great flavor. The menu selections were pretty basic, nothing really stood out. I ordered a salad. Our server was super cool, she was a bartender picking up extra tables and made our experience more enjoyable. Not sure if we will make it over here again, but maybe to try their weekend brunch.

good food, incredibly long, inaccurate wait time. Guac was made in the back and not table side like they stated. Food was good. Bartender was pretty rude. I asked for an appetizer and he said it was too busy at the time and I would have too wait till he slowed down. What… Thanks but no thanks.

Holy crap, so glad I found this place! I’ve had a really hard time finding good eats in Orlando during business trips, but this one is worth coming back for. First, loved the amazing ambience and bar. They have a huge tequila bar that is picture worthy. I’m not a big tequila drinker, but the jalapeño margaritas were OUTOFTHISWORLD! The service was AMAZING — I forgot the name of our server, but he was spot on with every recommendation. I had the fish, which was out of this world. That said, my colleagues molcajetes was even better — next time I’m getting that! The desserts were also amazing too — definitely worth getting it! Two thumbs up. Delicious.

I am a huge fan of Tequila. The food is amazing and the restaurants vibe is really cool. It was packed but we still got our food within 30 minutes. We went for my sisters birthday and they gave her a birthday shot with a candle on it! Super cool place !

I will give it three stars, but could have been easily a two I think. So let me start of by saying if you’re looking for Mexican or even Texmex u won’t find it here in my humble opinion. Different kind of menu with no real identity I think, but some interesting things for sure. Been really looking forward to eating here, we live in Tampa and had been planning on stopping here next time we came to Orlando. So we were on our way to universal and decided this would be the perfect opportunity. So the place itself is super cool I thought. Great decorations and great layout of restaurant itself so many cool things to see, even in the bathtoom lol! Loved the ambience and the art all over the restaurant. So this by far was the best thing they had going and this alone makes it a place to go just to check out the place, pretty much everything after that was subpar at best. Took the hostess almost 5 minutes to acknowledge us, no big deal but it wasn’t even that busy. Not friendly at all. We wanted to sit outside but it was full so we sat near the bar. The guy that walked us to our table was very friendly nice job. Our server was a bartender guess she was picking up tables I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but was a young blonde, she was also the other good thing bout our experience, was nice and friendly. We ordered the quac took over 10 minutes for the quac guy to get over to us, no big deal cause I was chilling with my girl but that seems pretty long and honestly it was probably over 15 minutes. She had the casa amigos lemonade, and that was delicious. Oh b4 I 4get if you check in on Unilocal you get a free shot of tequila which was casa amigos blanco which was super good! I had a carnitas wet burrito and my girl had the chx salad taco, both were boring and tasteless. Was pretty disappointed in food besides the quac. No real flavor and food wasn’t close to being hot, real bummer… So all in all cool place to check out for drinks, but would skip the eating part. That’s my take on it anyways.

Ok, I don’t really give too many high marks for large, seemingly chainish restaurants. However, today’s tacos make Rocco’s an exception. Plainly put, the Tacos Tradicionale were the best tacos I’ve had East of the Mississippi. That’s saying a lot. The pork was tender, juicy, and had a cinnamon kick that melded well with the salsa verde. The chicharones gave the tacos a mild crunch that was great for the texture. It was all held together with a hand made corn tortilla that hugged the filling like a momma bear holding a cub… that you’re going to eat. The tacos certainly outshined the rest of the meal. I ended up requesting a fourth ordered a la carte. Prices aren’t too bad, considering you can dine on an open air porch next to a lagoon. Muy bueno!

Rocco’s Tacos is a pretty enjoyable place to eat. I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve had a great time every time. Let’s start with the set up. The other day we had no problem parking, but I’ve been here at 6pm on a Friday night and the place was packed! We had to valet that night. We went on a Tuesday this week at 5:30. It was not busy at all. We had our choice of inside or outside. I couldn’t make up my mind so we sat at the edge of the outside/beginning of the inside right near a heater(crazy cold this week). It was perfect! The patio has a really lovely view. On previous occasions I’ve had to sit at the bar because we couldn’t get a table, but luckily they have about 3 bars. There are quite a few tables for big parties, so this is an awesome place to go with a large group. They have an incredible selection of tequila here and if you check in on Unilocal and order an entrée you get a free shot! I’ve had the Strawberry Basil Margarita and the Black Cherry Margarita. Both were outstanding and I would order both again. I always spend a ton on margaritas here, but they are really good so I’m not going to complain. I have always ordered the tacos because I mean come on, the place is called Rocco’s Tacos. I have had the crunchy beef taco and the soft pork taco. Both were really good, but I think I preferred the soft pork taco. I really like that I can pick my taco and design it how I want it. The only negative is that a single taco is $ 3-$ 5. This is really high. I can get 2 much larger tacos in the same plaza at Tijuana flats for $ 5 and I enjoy Tijuana flats. My local Mexican restaurant sells tacos for $ 1.99 each. The price is a big reason why I don’t give Rocco’s Tacos a better review. My friends have ordered tamales, burritos, and chimichangas. They have enjoyed all of these. I also really like the rice, which I stole off my friends plate last time. On Tuesday we ordered the manchego cheese sticks. These were basically fried mozzarella sticks, but with manchego. We didn’t love them. We kind of felt like they were a bit overdone. They almost seemed burnt. Overall, great place to go and have drinks with your friends. Fun envirnonment, great view, awesome tequila options and the food is mostly good too, but it is a bit overpriced for what it is.

Meet with some folks for lunch and I was pleasantly impressed. I’ve previously been to their location down south in Palm Beach Gardens and it left much to be desired. However this visit totally changed my mind :) We started with the tableside guacamole and it was delicious. Full of flavor. I was not the biggest fan of the chips but the guacamole was legit. I opted for the cobb salad… which when it came out looked to be on steroids. Lol. Worth the $ 13 with plenty of protein and fresh flavors. My friend ordered something that was almost like a stew with steak, chicken, and chorizo, peppers, and onions. I was tasty as well. Great venue and with awesome customer service. I’d give them another try :)

My first Unilocal review! Now at Rocco’s tacos for the second time this weekend. The food is amazing. Must have table side made guacamole and the amazing sizzling in a lava rock bowl molcajetes. I had the surf and turf version. My friend suggested we meet at this place for dinner. I rarely go to Mexican restaurants because they all seem so similar and non descript, so I almost complained, but I decided to just go. The service was good, not great, but only because of how busy it was. It is extremely loud at night, but I get the feeling this is party place, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Just be prepared for it. I am so glad that I came here. The food was amazing, so much better than basically every Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in the US with the exception of in Arizona and Texas. I can’t believe this place has only 3.5 stars. Don’t believe that!

We’d been living in Bay Hill for about 5 weeks, driving past Rocco’s almost every afternoon while trekking up and down Sand Lake. We came to close to trying Rocco’s a few weeks earlier, but one of my daughters opined that it’d be too touristy. Well, she was wrong! While the décor is certainly targeted at attract non-locals, the Dia de los Muertos motif, especially the collection of masks, is very well put together. And the view off the rear patio across the lake is also easy on the eyes. But the tacos and drinks are what makes this place great. I recommend any/all of the Margueritas. Good selection of beers as well — I opted for my personal favorite, Negro Modelo. The table-side guacamole, a study in waitstaff showmanship, is actually superb. We also slurped down oh-so-tasty and super fresh ceviche. But did I mention the tacos? We opted for a selection of «Tacos de Calles«(street tacos) for the table and we all gorged, family-style on The Mercado, The Brooklyn and the Korean. Wow. And the service was fast and friendly as well. Rocco — we’ll be back. In force.

Rocco’s Tacos has got to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando! This was my second trip to Rocco’s in consecutive years for a conference. I went last year and thought I may have to make this an every trip deal. The atmosphere is unbeatable and the food is excellent. Their back patio is super cool. It is right on the lake and they have torches, fire pits, the works. It is a bit loud though(especially inside) and it gets packed so be ready for that if you are taking clients like I did. Have a reservation! I ordered the wet burrito with beef this time for my entrée, so good. And it was so much food! We also got the guac, queso fundido, and pitchers of margs(so many margs! Lol). Everyone was very impressed which was great. I will definitely be back for next year’s conference.

I really wanted to like this place. We had heard such good things about Rocco’s Tacos. We dined in on Tuesday night for a friend’s birthday.(Taco Tuesday!) ATMOSPHERE(3.5÷5): The music is loud. The only people I could hear without trying to read lips were the people seated directly next to me. My husband gave this place the nickname«Club Taco» because of the loud music. However, the décor is pretty cool and trendy. It was pretty busy. Plan accordingly and get reservations if you can. If you’re looking for a quiet meal, go elsewhere. Good luck finding parking during peak dining times. FOOD(4⁄5): I can’t say the food is bad. It was decent, but for the price, we were left wanting. They don’t offer complementary chips like other Tex-Mex restaurants. The salsa was actually pretty good. Apparently they are known for the table side guacamole — didn’t get to try it on this visit. There is a $ 15.99 all you can eat taco entrée, where they bring you four tacos of your choice initially and bring three additional tacos each subsequent plate. All the tacos were pretty good. I was able to try all the tacos between my husband and myself. With the group of nine of us, our food came so slowly… My tacos were lukewarm when I got them, but it would have been another 30 minutes until I got my replacement. We skipped dessert because someone brought a cake. DRINKS(3⁄5): My margarita was so watery. It tasted like someone poured the mix and then dumped a ton of tequila on top. There is an offer for a FREE shot of tequila — all you have to do is check in on Unilocal. SERVICE(2.5÷5): Our server was slammed. She had five tables with large parties(between 9 — 12 people), so she was constantly running around. This probably accounts for the bad service reviews people complained about. I won’t fault our server with the lousy rating for service. My husband is highly allergic to shellfish. It’s a pretty easy allergy to deal with — don’t order anything with shellfish in it. He orders some tacos and twenty minutes later his plate of unlimited tacos comes out. The runner simply asks: «Did you order tacos?» Obviously, my husband says yes. Thank goodness he checked before eating, but the runner has brought out someone else’s order with shrimp tacos. It would have been easier to avoid any mixup if the runner had just mentioned what kind of tacos the runner had on that particular plate. So we waited, and our server brought out new tacos another twenty minutes later. Communication seems to be an issue here. Another issue was the food temperature when it reaches the table. I wasn’t expecting sizzling tacos, but I expected hot food. We figured out that if you order food individually(as opposed to a group order), then your food comes faster. All in all, I’d think about coming back. I’ve still got to try the guacamole that everyone seems to be raving about.

I’d like to thank Rocco’s Tacos for being so damn busy that no one even noticed that we walked out without paying for our beers and coffee. On the other hand, I’d like to extend my middle finger to Rocco’s Tacos for the complete lack of service and giveafuck. Popped in on Saturday night to sample a taco and get some cervezas. We were seated on the back deck next to the lake. It was more like a club in there with shitty modern Rap music destroying our ear drums, but we were alright with it because the view and weather were on point. However, a long time elapsed with no service. So we asked a kid clearing off tables if he could get a server over to us. He said, «yeah» and nodded his head, but the look on his face was, «Sure buddy, when pigs fly.» After more time without service goes by, we just relocated to the bar area. La Chica tells the hostess what happens and she says«sorry,» but no further action is taken. Then, more time elapsed before we finally got service by the bar. The kid comes back pretty quickly with our drinks, but takes off before we can ask for a late night menu. He was never to be seen again. In fact, no one ever checked on us in any way, shape or form. So, we just got up and walked out. Thanks for the cervezas, pendejos. Adiós! PROS Menu looked great, and even included molcajetes! Atmosphere was quirky, but fun. Dos Equis on tab, and they were ice freaking cold. Over 400 tequilas. CONS Service is non-existent. Would I return. Nah.

I had heard many great things about Rocco’s so I was really excited when my husband mentioned going. I’ll be honest and let you know I didn’t eat anything. Not any thing solid anyway. But I’ll be happy to tell you about the atmosphere and drinks ;) It was a Friday night and was around 10pm when we arrived. I could just feel the energy when I walked in and it instantly put me in a good mood. My husband and I started out with tequila shots, of course. Served in a chilled shot glass the tequila we chose was absolutely delicious. We did order a salsa trio. It was served with crispy house made chips. Each salsa was distinct in it’s profile, spicy and yum! He also ordered some street taco’s. What’s not to love about a taco… hello…or should I say holaaa. The blood orange margarita is just perfect. A little sweet, a little sour, and the mixologist put a generous amount of alcohol in the drinks. The restrooms are FUN. Yes I said FUN… there are TV’s in the women’s stalls. I finally watched that part in Nacho Libre I always miss. Since we were sitting at the corner of the bar, we found that almost everyone that mozied up the corner to get the bar tenders attention started talking to us. We met some cool people. A couple visiting the area even bought us a round of shots… oh yeah! Yay for atmosphere, drinks, and vibe. I’ll update when I actually eat some of the taco’s I hear are awesome.
