Food is getting better; service is getting worse. Waitress don’t have basic skills needed to accommodate customers…

30 minutes and still waiting for a Tuna tataki appetizer. Slowest service ever and there’s only 8 tables.

Let me start of by saying that the food is delicious… But very disappointed on the hostess. I called in my order for pick up and she was very rude on the phone. I called at 4:30 and she busted out saying very rudely«We Open At 5!!!» Can I please place my order for pick up after 5??? Geesh!!! Then when I arrived to pick up my food it was even worse. Not even a smile. They need to work on getting somebody that is a people person and treat their customers way better. I almost left without my food due to her sucky attitude.

After continuing our drives to Tampa to visit our favorite sushi place after moving to Orlando, we were happy to have a local place open up. The owners make you feel like a part of the family and the chefs really know their stuff. Some of our favorites are the volcano roll, chicken or steak teriyaki, and the vegetable tempura. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

Food is excellent. One of the best places I’ve been to. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I had to wait over 45 minutes to get my check. That means service needs to step it up a bit. I’ll be back when I know I have nothing else to do that night.

The sushi chefs are super nice, both of them(Yukio and Tim) are really professional, the rice is not too tight, and separate in you month easy but when you pick up the nigiri, the rice didn’t break, that’s what nigiri supposed to be, and all the sushi and nigiri that I ordered are fresh and nice presentation. And they have a must order dish call seasoned salt baby back ribs, and their Singapore noodle are better than a lots of Chinese restaurant even they are a Sushi restaurant.

The food is good. Especially the bulgogi. The sushi is good. It can be a bit pricey. What makes the place are the owners. Very nice people.

It’s been 5 years since I have been here. Now I know why it’s been so long. This is super low grade sushi. Not fresh, prepared by a substandard chef who has no concept of what today’s sushi eating consumer expects. The only reason this place gets one star is because the edema was good and the staff was nice. I am totally disgusted with the price for what was grocery store quality at best. Never returning.

Good local joint for sushi. Friendly service. They serve beer, wine and saki. No liquor. The ambience is lacking and the tables are close. But the food is good. The garlic edamame I would pass on next time and go more traditional with sea salt. Fairly priced. The firecracker roll was the best of the 3 I ordered. Would come again.

Had five amazing rolls tonight the best one being the Volcano Roll so delicious. The Candy Cane roll was also great a little spicy this roll was accompanied with a side of eel sauce and spicy Mayo. The staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

The best sushi restaurant I have been in Orlando area so far. I have been about 10 different sushi restaurants and none of them satisfy me. Lake Nona may be far, but it is worth your drive just to eat this place. I love their volcano rolls. One of their employees know basic sign language which made my experience a great one.

The food refresh and the service was superb. My kids absolutely love their sushi so we go there pretty often. The volcano roll is my kids favorite. The place is very clean and very cozy.

Fireball, California and Philadelphia rolls. Everything was amazing! This was takeout and it looked this way after driving home. Kudos on taking the time on presentation even for TO orders.

As one of the few restaurants open in Lake Nona, Nona Sushi is this picky Japanese foodie’s go to place in The Nona. The staff is courtesy and knowledgeable, and while the speed of service is a little relaxed, the food is certainly worth the wait. There is a a wonderful combination of traditional Japanese as well as Americanized fusion dishes. The pricing is exceptionally fair for the portions provided. I’ve actually made the yakisobsa into three separate meals! The restaurant atmosphere is warm, inviting, and the staff treats everyone like family(the kind that gets along famously well)! They work hard to remember people’s names and faces, which I really appreciate. At lunch time on a weekday, this is my go to place, but I would love to go for dinner so I can enjoy their adult drinks, too. I was floored by the garlic edamame. In all my years of edamame devouring, it was a first, but I was pleasantly surprised. Don’t skip dessert! I highly recommend the crème brûlée and the green tea mochi ice cream.

I know what you are thinking, because I thought it too. «Sushi in a strip mall!!!» Trust me, there is nothing strip mallish about this restaurant, other than it’s size. With a dozen, perhaps 18, tables, and a café style counter, I am glad we got there late, around 2:15pm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, service prompt, the beer cold and served with a frosty glass. We had the appetizer assortment for two, the Paradise Roll, Dancing Eel roll, and our first taste of conch, the Spicy Conch Roll. Can I just tell you… the BEST short ribs and dumpling and spring roll I have ever eaten come on the appetizer plate. Simply fantastic! We were both already in love with eel, so we deepened our appreciation here, and the conch was a pleasant surprise, with a good firm mouthfeel and delightfully unfishy taste. It made believers out of us. We are here for another 7 days, so I am sure we will make it back. The 4 star is quite simply for cost. I know good meals cost, but my bottle of beer was nearly 8 $ and our lunch came to about $ 70 after tip. To be clear, I do not regret it! That was one of the best lunches I have ever eaten!

Great little local sushi bar. We stopped in on our way to the airport. Sat at the sushi bar, had great service and really enjoyed the specialty rolls we ordered. Nice clean spot and in a great location for refueling our rental car and getting to the airport quickly without paying for terrible airport food!

Came back here again since I was in the area and I’m upgrading my review since the service is so on point here. Hieu and Heather are amazing waiters/waitresses. The owner is super kind and sweet. He always makes his way around to talk to each of the tables. Had the sunrise roll and wasabi umami roll this time and they were so delicious! See pics!
