Unilocal, how I have missed you! Mediterranean Deli is an example of why I should not have taken so much time away from you. I was searching new places to eat around my job and to my surprise this little gem is only 10 minites away with great reviews so I figured I would give it a try. So from the outside you could pass by everyday and never think. of dropping in. Parking is a bit confusing if you don’t really know where you are going. I got here at 11:30am and no issues with lines or seating. Lots of people came through for take out so I can see how it can get busy later on in the day. Everyone was so welcoming and delightful, I felt like they knew me and treated me like a regular. Now the important part, the food. I ordered the open face gyro salad. DELICIOUS!!! Fresh salad, great seasoning on the lamb and plentiful! I only ate half of my meal as was stuffed. Great deal for $ 8 which also included a drink. Again, thank you Unilocal for this find. I will definately be back and will be putting this place on my list of lunch places to rotate through. I promise to never be away from you for so long since you were so good to me helping me find this treat!

I drove out of my way to get here and while they did have a very tasty gyro, I don’t think it’s the best I’ve ever had. The owner is incredibly friendly and seemed to know everyone who came by.

Authentic. Best Mediterranean food in Orlando. Coming from the Middle East, this food is just as good without having to travel to the sandbox.

This food(specifically the gyro meat) is SOGOOD! Upon arriving at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant at the very end of Fairbanks, you are normally met with a short line and the very friendly owner. To him, everyone is «my friend, my friend.» He will greet you like you have known him for years(which is the case for many people coming in). The ordering process is a bit chaotic and disjointed if you customize even a bit, but it all works out you end up with PILES of incredible food. Great place for lunch under 10 bucks. The food comes out piping hot and definitely requires a stack of napkins. It is way too easy to not put down the gyro wrap until you’ve eaten days’ worth of food.

Maybe it the owner’s contagious smile, but I think this is the best gyro in town. Loud, happy greeting once I walked in like I was V.I.P. Huge portion of lamb in the gyro, the tabbouleh was so green and fresh, and they had grape soda. Word.

I almost don’t want to write a review for my secret favorite lunch spot. Just by word of mouth it has become so popular that the line often stretches outside the door. it is the very definition of a hole in the wall spot that serves fantastic food. You won’t find a better Lamb Gyro in town, nor one with more generous portions. They have freshly made sides and(I’m told), I usually order the Greek salad and I love how they make sure that each portion gets a little bit of fresh cheese and olives to balance it out. Get your food to go or dine on site, but seating is limited.

Simply the best gyros! I go here at least 2 or 3 times a month. Brought my wife here last week all the way from Melbourne to try it. I always gey number 7 open face gyro. Evyrthing i have ever tried is excellent. Hummus is so good. The owner is the nicest and happiest guy and makes you feel so welcome. Saw someone say the staff could be nicer? Not really sure how? They are so nice and best service. Try once and you will be hooked for life.

I give this place 5 stars for 2 huge reasons, 1-because the food here is outstanding. You can tell that the food is made with pride and love. The gyros are huge and priced so reasonable, you don’t mind giving a little extra as a tip! 2– how many independently owned and operated restaurants have someone greet you as ‘welcome friend!?!’ as he proceeds to lovingly cut the delectable strips of perfectly seasoned meat onto a fresh, warm, thick gyro wrap? This place! Let me just say that this place is nestled in the middle of a plaza that isn’t the most attractive, and there are a couple tables to eat at… it’s a no frills joint… but this owner has his heart in the right place, let’s give our customers a warm welcome, good food, and a great price. With all that in mind, who cares about the décor! Ps– Gyro and Spinach Pies are where it’s at!

We dropped in on a referral from Gringos Locos and wow we wow wow! I like this place. Actually, the first few times we drove about the lot looking for parking before driving off, that’s one of my pre-yelp standards for judging a place. No parking’s probably a pretty good thing. Short on parking, short on seating, but they’re awesome. Clearly they do a bang up business, but don’t let the parking or crowds fool you, most of it’s take away and the line moves quickly. Know the menu before go, that’s my tip. We weren’t sure our combos came with drinks or not until after we ordered maybe because we flew through the line and ordering. No real coaching or help with that either. GF was upsold too. Nevermind that though, everybody was really friendly. Three salad combo was Awesome. Generous too. My counterpart’s chicken hero/gyro geero was so ridiculously delicious I was jealous! Appearances might distress fainter types but we found everything to be really clean. Which is what really matters. You can easily get off salad from a commercially perfect looking business. I get the impression these guys own this place and they treat you like you’re in their home. A rock solid 4.5 for me. Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been wanting to have a more adventurous palate lately. I decided to try some Mediterranean since it’s a cuisine I rarely eat. After this place was suggested to us, we checked it out on Unilocal and we decided to give it a go. I’m so happy we did. Now, this place is pretty small so it will be crowded very quickly. I ordered the chicken gyro and I loved it. It’s one of the best things I ever tasted. Even tough, one is enough to fill you up, I wanted more. The gyro was so loaded with meat and veggies. It was even a bit heavy. The meat was juicy, and the sauce was flavorful. By the way, I was grooving in the corner to the Middle Eastern music that was being played while I was devouring the gyro… I would definitely come back.

This place is conveniently located 5 minutes from my house. When I first moved in, I had a friend that lives near by tell me a I HAD to try it. I sure am glad I took him up on his recommendation! This place is definitely small, and has a «dive» feel about it, but I was just picking up on my lunch break, so no worries there. The staff is very friendly and the service is super fast!(Which I love!) I ordered the Mediterranean Club Roll. If you’ve ever had a Hovan before(A chain that used to be in many shopping mall food courts) it’s very similar. I’ve tried ones from WalMart and Sam’s Club before, but they were not nearly as good. This sandwich tastes just as good as hovan– if not better! I chose the club roll because it has turkey and ham on it. Along with lettuce, tomatoes, seasonings and a yummy yogurt like sauce. They also offer the rolls with just turkey, ham, pastrami, roast beef, or vegetarian– so there are many options which is nice. I also ordered the tabbouleh for a side salad. This was my first time having tabbouleh. It was very good– parsley, chopped tomatoes, garlic, and some other ingredients in lemon and olive oil. I liked the flavors a lot, however to me, I think it would be better on something. It reminded me more of a chimmichurri than a salad. I actually saved it, and will be making some Mediterranean Lemon Chicken tonight for dinner that I think will compliment it well. All and all I had a wonderful experience at this deli and will definitely be back! You can’t beat the prices– they are very reasonable. I got a large roll(about 6 pieces), side salad and a drink for $ 8.00. They make everything fresh, so the prices great for the quality of food and speed of service. If you are in the neighborhood(or even if you’re not!) I highly advise giving this place a try. You’re taste buds will thank you.

So much delicious food! I ordered the open face with hummus to-go(which comes with a drink as well!) So stinking good. The gyro meat and the hummus are probably the best I’ve ever had. The portions are very generous, you could share if you’d like. But let’s be honest, it’s so delicious, you’re gonna want your own plate. The open face comes with warm pita bread that is perfect for dipping in the hummus or piling on gyro meat, tzatziki, lettuce, and hummus. Nom nom nom. The place itself is pretty small and dinky, but the food makes up for the atmosphere. It’s a perfect take-away place. I definitely recommend checking it out!

It was recommended to me by my coworkers. so I dashed there, got my meal put together and was back at work all within 15 mins. Ordered the #6, gyro, Greek salad and a can soda for just $ 8. The gyro was super tasty, huge and so filling. I have not eaten my salad because right now I’m about to explode but my hunger is very sated. The meat was tasty, the bread was super soft and the toppings were amazing. The interior is small but from my quick look around it was packed with folks at 1pm getting their grub on. The guys making the meal and taking my order were quick and super efficient. Loved that I didn’t have to waste ½ of my break waiting on the food.

BEST gyro meat I’ve ever had. Period. The pita bread is always warm and soft and the tzatziki sauce has the perfect consistency and flavor. The Greek salad mostly consists of cucumber chunks. I wish there were more tomatoes, olives, and those massive chunks of creamy feta which I can’t get enough of! The open face gyro with a Greek salad(or any other salad) and a drink is only $ 8.00. You can’t beat it! While the food is incredibly delicious, the place could definitely be a whole lot cleaner. The three times I’ve been the trash can has been overflowing, and the tables aren’t cleaned off after people have dined. Which is in part because the establishment is so small and always so packed, which is sometimes uncomfortable. If I lived a bit closer I would definitely just take it to go.

Kind of dirty, but the food is outstanding. I had the gyro platter, which came with a side salad. Excellent flavor. Everyone is very friendly. You might drive past there and never even notice this place. If they scrubbed it a little more, it might be even busier. Worth a visit.

Mama and I set out on a trek for some BBQ today BUT the place we planned to go to was had a sign up saying«Closed Temporarily» so we just got back in the car and headed north on OBT. We came upon Princeton and headed to College Park. After pulling off to the side I looked at my bookmarks and saw Mediterranean Deli and the wife and I said… «Why not» They have a small sign over their shop and we almost drove right past t\hem. Once we parked and walked in I was thinking this is just another small deli with a limited menu and really expected the high rating on Unilocal to be overstated. They have a selection of salads, two spindle’s of Gyro meat cooking and a small dining area. The more I looked around, the more it reminded me of a hole in the wall place in NYC. After taking forever to make up her mind my wife chose a plate with the Greek salad, Tabbouleh and Hummus. I chose the Gyro with the seafood salad and some spinach pie. I found out our meals came with a drink and all of that came to $ 21 which was quite reasonable. When the food arrived, I have to admit that the plating was not flashy in any way. It was just deli style on your Styrofoam plates and some plastic silverware and paper napkins. Well as you can imagine, my expectations were pretty low BUT… OMG was I wrong!!! That Gyro was one of the BEST Gyro’s I have ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked and the tzatziki was absolutely incredible. I savored every bite of this Gyro and can’t wait to go back for another one. The seafood salad was good but I knew it would not go well with the Gyro when I ordered it but since my wife had ordered 3 of the salads, I would get a chance to taste them so I was fine with that. The spinach pie was so good that I forgot to share it with the wife. OOPS… I tasted the greek salad and it was very good but the Tabbouleh was OMG good! I could have had a plate of that all by itself. The Hummus was amazing and my only complaint was I ran out of pita and had to eat the rest by itself. Oh the horror… lol I LOVE it when my fist impression is so far off base it actually catches me by surprise. This was one of those pleasant surprises. I NOW know first hand why their reviews are so good. You get a NY Deli feel with incredible food. The three men working there were all very professional and I was impressed as they traded roles how they made sure to change gloves at required. Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Atmosphere — 5 stars Cleanliness — 5 stars Parking — 5 stars(lot goes around the side of the building) If you have not tried this place, YOUSHOULD… It’s that good…
