Talk about quick service! The food is pre-made, kind of set up like a buffet so you can see what everything looks like before you order. It’s then put on a plate and handed to you within seconds. Everything looked delicious, so it was a tough choice for me. I went with the chicken kabob, rice and mashed potatoes. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and tender with green peppers and onions in between the chunks of chicken. The rice was flavorful, even though it just looks like regular white rice; and the mashed potatoes were just ok to me, definitely would try a different side next time. The pasta salad looks delicious! The place is a lot larger than I had expected it to be with lots of tables inside, as well as a bar. It’s open in the evening for dinner as well and was told they also have huka.

Wow. Just left this restaurant after ordering breakfast. Nothing wrong with the food, just the service and Joe. It didn’t matter to me that the food was taking a while to be made. It was the way Joe was treating the other employee. He was mad because he blamed her for not having enough potatoes for my meal. He started then nitpicking everything else she did. Made me very uncomfortable and I was already upset to be seeing a man treating a woman this way but I continued waiting. As I continued to wait, I heard him call her stupid and they continued with their back and forth. I don’t know what the true problems are there(maybe they are married) but I shouldn’t be witnessing it and it was clearly an unhealthy relationship. I asked for my money back and left. Unfortunately, I didn’t tell them why I was asking for my money back, they also didn’t ask. But it was not because the potatoes weren’t ready, that’s for sure.

Café Annie is perfect for a delicious and healthy lunch. This is a lunchtime place for sure, it’s not very elegant inside and there is a cafeteria style food line where you grab a tray and wait in line. The food is fantastic. Ive been here a few times but recently I tried the Greek chicken sandwich which is a wrap. I also picked the«platter» which gave me an option of two sides. The sides were a garlicky cabbage salad and the curry chicken soup-both wonderful! The wrap is substantial for lunch and I could have just stuck with that, but nice to have side options. I did see some other reviews that mentioned this place not being up to par, and I agree that it looks like an antiquated performance space inside, almost like a small theater with a bar. I would say this-the great food is a reason to come here, just ignore the atmosphere and get take out if it bugs you. One last thing, don’t hold up the cafeteria style ordering line to stay on the good side of the server. This is a really delicious lunch place, don’t let the interior keep you from dining.

First time visiting Café Annie’s even though I live walking distance from it. Thanks to my sister I have found a great Greek spot with good prices and quality. Check out the photos. I got the gyro with baba ganoush and veggies and she got the chicken kabob salad, which I tried. Both were fresh and taste great. The veggies were crisp and didn’t taste microwaved even though they were :( Other than that the food is great and for the price more than I would expect. 4 stars

Descent roasted chicken and black beans and rice, but the worst Baklava I’ve ever had.

Annie’s is a staple lunch spot for my office in downtown Orlando. Quick service in a cafeteria style line where you order everything at the counter. My favorite meals are the chicken kabob with 2 sides. I really like the hummus — it’s SOOODELISH and I the tabouli. The grape leaves, macaroni and cheese, and the rice and chicken are great as well. Random Side note: the toilet paper is really soft too. Haha!

Café Annie is the healthiest option for lunch in downtown Orlando. They are a family owned business serving Lebanese and Greek inspired food. For under $ 10, you can get a platter of kebabs and 2 sides. They have a ton of different sides ranging from mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, hummus, pickled cabbage, and other cold salads. Don’t piss off the owner Joe. He can become very irate and offended if you are aren’t ready to order, texting on your phone in line, or soliciting his business during his busy lunch hour. I actually saw him throw someone out of his restaurant for trying to pitch him on some advertising. It was very soup nazi’esque. «Get out of my restaurant and don’t ever come back!!!» I’ll always go back when I am visiting downtown.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. The food, ambience, and service were great. I had the Baba Ghanoung(sp) for starters and it was delicious. I must admit the only reason I decided to try it was because of the lovely waitress. She was genuine and took time to explain the menu to a first timer. I will definitely be back.

They make an mean Greek salad, to which I always add the excellent gyro. I also have always gotten better service when I pronounce it «year-oh,» rather than«ji-ro,» so keep that in mind. But, if you want great downtown lunch food to help you finish the work day, you need to look no further than Annie’s Café. Also, I pass no comment on the fact that it becomes a club at night, I haven’t been around for that, but if they created a gyro-tini or a falafel based cocktail, at least the Mediterranean food part would be good.

Hands down best downtown lunchtime spot! I have to get my Annie’s longing filled at least once a week. I stick to basics: kebab with two sides, including the delicious hummus. The stuffed chicken is also good, and the gyro – while messy – is a delicious and filling meal. This place has a loyal following, and there is no secret to it – fresh, well cooked food, quick service, and decent prices.

Café Annie has very tasty food made of fresh ingredients. They have vegetarian and vegan options, which is nice. The atmosphere is very pretty and the service is good. My biggest complaint is the difficulty finding parking, but the trip is usually worth the hassle.

Being vegan means we’re selective when dining out. Café Annie is always an enjoyable experience. The food is fresh and delicious, consistantly, and the staff is professional, efficient and friendly. It’s always our first choice when we’re in Orlando!

This place has been in downtown Orlando for years. I remember when it was just a breakfast place and was located where the Fiat dealership is. Glad to see that the same family owns it, and the food was okay at best. My wife says it was mediocre. I enjoyed my beer though. We’ll continue to go there, they let St. James Cathedral Youth Ministry hold events there, and it helps their business also.

Stopped in for lunch the day I had jury duty. Will consider anytime I’m downtown again. Best falafel I’ve had in Orlando. Excellent hummus with lots of tahini and easy on the lemon, just the way I like it. Cucumber, tomato and onion salad a little over spiced. They were moving a lot of chicken kabobs and Greek salads to the regulars as the line progressed. Must be something there, too.

I had bought an Eversave deal for Annie’s a few months back– I only paid $ 12 online to receive $ 25 of in-store value, so it was quite the incentive to go Greek/Lebanese crazy. Needless to say once my party arrived, I realized that Annie’s would be a restaurant that I would’ve been more than happy to pay full price for. We went on an early Friday evening which was a very wise choice– the restaurant was not very crowded and we were seated immediately. My table ordered the hummus and grape leaves as appetizers, and then the salmon and Greek chicken sandwich for our entrees. Everything was prepared promptly and was delicious, and the chef even came to our table to see how our meal was going! Our waitress was accommodating and stayed on top of my never-ending water-drinking tendencies. Overall, my guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Annie’s and plan to return in the future!

Between the power of Unilocal and the suggestions of friends, I took an Orlando newbie craving Greek food to Café Annie. This was my first time, as was hers, and it made fans out of us! We went on an early Saturday evening before a SAK show and it was very quiet. I have to say walking in you really can’t tell WHAT this place is… full bar, dining tables everywhere, a deli-lunch counter in the back, and a small stage area tucked away to the side. The décor is mis-matched as well — taxedermied saltwater fish hang from the entrance ceiling, Mediterranean paintings on the wall, and a barrel with a water pump near the bathrooms. The music couldn’t decide what theme it was — I think we heard nearly a full Bob Dylan CD from when we walked in, and then it was an odd mix of classic rock, pop, and R&B. Confused ambiance aside — come here for the food. I haven’t had baba ghanoush this good in a long time. We started with the appetizer for two and it easily fed three with leftovers. I’ve never actually been much of a parsley fan, and I was digging the parsley salad so much I had it on everything. It was extremely fresh and the lemon wedge added a tart punch to the already tangy parsley. The hummus was good, but I like a little more garlic in mine. The falaffel were cooked perfectly but a little bland. Tzatziki sauce was very good, smooth with slight chunks to remind you there’s cucumber in there. The stuffed grape leaves were also a highlight of the appetizer, not overly filled so they held together extremely well and let the flavors of both leaf and stuffing come out. I had to try the chicken curry soup which was smooth, rich, full of vegetables and tender chicken, and the curry was mild with a slightly coconut sweet flavor. The salad had a nice house Greek dressing, but nothing special. All three of us had gyros which were perfectly assembled. Great meat to veggie ratio and just enough tzatziki to add flavor and moisture but not overpower. They were wrapped well in a thin pita, so it wasn’t too doughy either. They were excellent leftover, too, didn’t get soggy and crisped up nicely in the oven without drying out or going mucky. Prices were reasonable, $ 12 for a whole 12″ gyro and salad or fries. The appetizer could have easily been a meal for two and it was only $ 20 with endless pita triangles. The waitress was doubling as the bartender, since there was only one other table, but glasses were never empty and she was very attentive and pleasant. Definitely a return visit in my future. Looking forward to trying some of the other grilled dishes(and another order of baba ghanoush)

We popped in around 6pm on a Saturday, and ordered food for 10, to go. The bartender was friendly and accommodating, asking us what we needed and taking no notes at all, confident she was memorizing the entire order. Once I got to «gyro with no tomato, gyro with onion and extra tomato, and so on», she knew she was in trouble. But to her credit, she double checked the order twice, and got it right. Since there was a full bar, we could not simply pass it by so the race to imbibe while they made our food began… One, two, three, drink! Repeat. 20 minutes later, Voila! Our food was ready, brought from the kitchen piping hot. Now, at this point, I was feeling like 5 stars and I wasn’t even hungry any more! But, the gyros turned out to be 99% shredded lettuce with one skimpy piece of meat in each one. Kinda of disappointing, hence the two stars. Everything else like the hummus and the dolmades were super tasty though.

In reference to Nazih S. of Café Annies comment, first of all I was being very objective and extremely sincere in my review. My fiancée I was with that day is Hispanic, the ONLY reason I identified her as the«Hispanic» woman is because she refused to identify herself. Second I have a receipt to prove she did NOT honor the Unilocal coupon, so get your facts straight before you start barking at the wrong tree. A simple apology for her rude and inappropriate behavior along with bad food would have sufficed. I see how guest service oriented you are, looking for excuses instead of looking for answers.

When I lived and worked downtown this was my favorite place to have lunch. Even as new places popped up, Café Annie remained the best to me. This is also the restaurant that is solely responsible for my present-day addiction to stuffed grape leaves. Yep, I had my first taste of dolmades right here. I always got them with a chicken kabob and rice. Mmm, mmm. I haven’t been to Café Annie in a long time, but I am sure their food and service is just as good. I always loved the atmosphere of the space as well. I usually ate lunch at a later time when there weren’t many other people there. It was always quiet, relaxing and delicious. I will need to go back here very soon. :)

First day of vacation, and I just ate the best sandwich ever. Twice. It’s gotta be all downhill from here. Greek chicken, with garlic sauce and sweet peppers. Wow. Got a 2nd one just to be sure, left the place probably 2 minutes ago… and already I miss that sandwich! The Mrs. is mad at me because we ate so much excellent food and paid so little. I do regret not paying more for that excellent experience.

Ok, the day I was convinced to go to a one star restaurant, I wanted to go here instead. This is a Orlando hallmark of Mediterranean food. The tabbouleh is excellent, chicken k bobs tender and hummus flavorful. What can I say, these guys know how to cook! It is a nice roomy place, plenty of seating, the owners are very friendly and know many by name(a good sign of loyal customers, I know why). Well priced for the meal, you leave satisfied and full. I would recommend this to anyone downtown, you will not be disappointed!
