We had looked forward to trying this place out after reading great reviews. I am really confused about how they received such good reviews. I ordered the burrito, my husband got enchiladas and an order of chips and salsa on the side. First of all, can or bottle drinks. Not impressed, but wouldn’t stop me from going back. My husband ordered tea; OK, I don’t know what it was, but it certainly wasn’t tea. The chips were hard as a rock and the salsa was super runny. My burrito was edible(even though the gristle of the«steak» was really tough);but certainly nothing to brag about. The enchiladas looked like a bit of meat(again with the gristle with a flour tortilla draped over it. We were both disappointed to say the least. We love Mexican food, but not from here. Plus it was hot inside; guess the A.C. wasn’t working or they don’t use it. Anyway, hate to leave such a negative review as I like promoting restaurants that are worthy — especially that aren’t chain restaurants; but just can’t do it this time. We definitely won’t be back!

First time here. Carne asada burrito was great! Good portion size as well. Both sauces were spicy, but I thought the green sauce was the best. The have Mexican Coke in the bottle too.

After searching for a new(authentic) Mexican place on Unilocal,we headed here. Turns out the food is pretty good, but the price is way too high for what you get. The items are fresh, and the portions are ok. The garnishes are true to Mexican style, which is refreshing, but we just can’t stomach the prices. Three small barbacoa tacos with a little bit of rice and beans for $ 7.99?! When a place gouges the customer for a quick profit up front, they give up the potential for the customer to return and spend more; in the long run, returning customers would have increased profits, but instead those profits were lost because of overcharging.

A great place when you are looking for authentic treats! We had tacos — my niece loved them. I had a steak burrito… flavor was on point! Great casual dining and the staff was very friendly and totally professional — loved the touch screen with pictures of all the dishes !

Great tacos, very authentic, beans and rice were perfect, love the sauce green and red. I will frequent this place often considering I live within a stones throw. Although I can’t top Matt K’s review, but I tend to agree…

Craved tacos and some salsa… wow! What a find! Awesome food, the steak tacos were excellent, the salsa was probably the best I’ve had(except my wife’s) and the chips are dusted with some spices that made them something you’ll crave about 8:15 one nite soon. You’ll be there for lunch the next day. Great food, friendly staff, service is excellent(I waited 5 minutes). The prices are really reasonable, perfect for lunch, a snack, or a quick dinner. I wish them all the luck, make sure you try this hidden gem!

Today we were driving around looking for a place to have lunch. We were craving mexican food and started Unilocaling. We found this place on Unilocal and it had great reviews so we decided to stop. First of all my background is mexican so authebtic mexican is important to me. This place is the best i have found since moving from California to Florida. The tacos were great, chicharron, tripas, chorizo, rajas con queso they were all great. The drinks non alcoholic were good. Customer service fantastic. This place was a great find and we will defiantly come back. Only reason we didnt give it 5 stars was the rice was just ok not my grandmas mexican rice.

I brought a date here on my motorcycle, she loved it. The food was top of the charts, the atmosphere was wonderful, parking is limited. Get here early or wait until after the meal time rush and ENJOY.

My life is flashing before my eyes. Birthdays. Holidays. Our first date. So many missed opportunities to have eaten at La Gordita Loca before today. So much regret. This place is a hidden gem on Lee Road that I just found out about and, as you can probably tell by the stars and humorous opening, is pretty damn good. Fresh ingredients, inexpensive, local, authentic, fast. I tried a gordita and two tacos and it was a perfect portion for lunch. Lots of options here, great sauces to add flavor and spice to your meal. So what it’s served on styrofoam? It doesn’t take away from the charm of this place, as well as the delicious flavors. Bookmark it. Stop by here. Don’t live a life of regret over the gordita that never was.

This my 1st time here and I’m so glad I came. Food is fresh and well presented. While I found out I don’t really care for Gorditas(just the outside) the fillings were very flavorful. Another helper said the green sauce was hotter than the red. Holy Moly the red was hot enough! I will definitely be back!

From the moment that you pull up to the location, you know that the food is going to be good. From the small quaint Interiors, and the very attentive and friendly staff. It made for a very good experience. All of the food is made fresh, if you like spicy sauces. Try either the red or the green sauces, that they set on the table for you(fair warning, they are hot!) and I highly recommend the Tamarind water… not Tamarind SODA(wich is also good) but Tamarind water yummm

The food is authentic Mexican. Best tacos in Orlando, gorditas are amazing. The quality is consistent and never disappoints. I’m here once a week, and if I miss a week the owner notices. The Agua de Pina is so good!!! Specials are something to def. try.

Every thing was fresh and authentic. The best part, the staff was super amicable and made my gringo brother in law enchiladas even thought they only make them on Tuesday. The drinks are delicious, specially the mango with chili.

What a gem! From the outside I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I followed the good reviews and went inside. Boy am I glad I did! The inside is larger than expected and very clean. I opted for the 3 taco basket with pork and chicken as my protein. While they weren’t overly large, they were delicious. I also got the(homemade) chips and salsa which was great and well worth the $ 2. They make a green and red hot sauce also which were both very good. I work in the area and am glad I found this place! I will definitely be back soon.

After being cooped up with the flu last week, I found myself really craving some tacos and sunshine. A Unilocal search brought up La Gordita Loca, and the one-two punch of crazy name and 5 star ratings sold me on a visit. I had the three taco basket, two al pastor and one chorizo based on recommendation from the woman taking our order. My mom decided to order pollo, carne asada, and nopales(prickly pear/cactus) for her fillings. The former two were tasty, but the nopales was really something else. We also ordered the chips and salsa, and the homemade chips were more like pita chips in texture, which was a pleasant surprise. Red and green hot sauce are also brought out. The homemade tamales were tempting and may be ordered on a return visit. The women working there were really friendly and helpful with guiding us through the menu. There’s plenty of seating, inside and outside, and it’s also very clean. Definitely joining the crowd in giving La Gordita Loca 5 stars and trying to bring everyone I can to my new favorite place for tacos.

Delicious authentic Mexican food!!! Which is SO hard to find in Orlando… Prices are good and the service was fast. I tried the carne asada and tripas taco. Also the horchata and mango water. Everything was really good. Décor is inviting and the staff were attentive. Gordita loca I am so glad I found you

Was referred here by a coworker last week, they told me to stop in here and get some tacos. When I came in I was shown the menu items on a large flat screen. Well let’s just say I didn’t have tacos! I was shown the fajita burrito and along with a few other items and my mind was made up! I had the burrito and it looked just like the picture!(Unlike going to fast INSERTNAMEHERE food joint) These guys know what’s up when it comes to Mexican food! I will be back and I loved the hospitality I was given my first visit!

So so good. I need to give it full props! The al pastor was incredible today. Everything else is delicious, authentic(because they’re from Mexico), and priced right. They deliver a variety of food obviously made with love in a cozy space and always with a smile.
