Early Bird Special! My friend Kari and I love to come here after she gets off work for the Early Bird Special and Happy Hour drinks. Before 6pm, you can get a cocktail such as my favorite the Kobe Breeze for only $ 5. She gets 2 for 1 beers for about $ 4. We always sit a the teppanyaki table. Neither of us are sushi eaters, but they do have an extensive sushi menu. They also have a separate dining room for those not wishing to have someone cook in front of them. I presume people coming to this restaurant for sushi eat in this room. I never have. If you go before 6pm Sun — Thur they have early bird specials which save you a significant amount over regular dinner prices. The steak and chicken combo is $ 20 at early bird. You start out with the clear onion soup. There are small pieces of mushroom and green onion in the soup. Then they serve you a salad with ginger dressing. I love ginger dressing. Then the chef comes out and prepares your meal. With your teppanyaki experience you get mixed vegetables, noodles, fried rice, and your choice of protein. If you have allergies this may not be the best place for you as everything is cooked on one grill so there will be some cross contamination. However, they are very accommodating. If you don’t want vegetables you can sub extra noodles for $ 2. If you don’t want fried rice they will sub steamed white rice, etc They also have a Kobe rewards program and you can get $ 10 off your meal after you spend a certain amount. This is my favorite Japanese steakhouse because the portions are large, the food is delicious, and the service consistent. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing atmosphere, hostess, waiter, chef, & food. My dinner was phenomenal. The portions they serve are so much you have for left overs. Cleanliness is on point. Great customer service. Our chef was so outgoing and funny. It’s my 2nd time at Kobes. But 1st time in this location and I shall continue coming to this one.

We had a big group celebrating a birthday. Khoa was our server and was wonderfully attentive as well as our Hibachi chef(whose name I think is Simon?) we were very entertained and the food was SODELICIOUS. They even sang for our birthday friend. We had a lovely time. Thank you!

I’m visiting Orlando for the weekend and just wanted an inexpensive non touristy place to eat before crashing at the hotel. I was promptly greeted at the hostess stand by a young woman whose name I can’t remember. She was very pleasant. My server, Fong(?), was very very nice and efficient. She was patient and helpful without being overbearing. Overall my experience in the dining room was very nice.

Very tasty food and kid friendly service. Yum yum sauce makes everything better of course. Hostess even have kids some fish food for koi pond. Could eat here the rest of the week but there are just too many other things to try during our stay. It’s only 4 stars because it wasn’t «walking on air» fantastic. It was close but only merely really good. :)

Not memorable. Spendy. Poor value. Chef was perfect. Table prep food was fresh and plentiful. But not exceptionally flavorful. That is were the good story stops. My extended family(locals) had loved this place and had gone often. It was my families first time here on vacation. However, we are very familiar with table cooking places all over. Wait staff was simply terrible. Disengaged. Flung the soup and salad AT our party of 9 people. The fore waiter actually argued with me about my drink order when it came and I asked. He showed me on the menu how I ordered the wrong saki! I knew exactly what I had ordered and I politely resisted. It actually embarrassed me and I backed down so the group would not think I was a pain. They questioned the age of my daughter ordering off of the kids menu. Menu said under 10. Waiter said under 9… Really! Ordered the spider roll sushi appetizer, and it arrived well into the dinner. Waiter made not even a remote apology. It seemed not fresh… Certainly not prepared to order. From an advance prep cooler. I think this place was just too big to give good service. Kinda dirty also. Chair backs were kinda greasy and sticky. Staff people standing around. Who runs this place??? Orlando masses being fed here. Our fault!!! We should have know better and gone to the Golden Corral!

I had sushi here and was literally the worse sushi I have ever had in my life. I was genuinely scared to eat the sushi for fear that I would get sick. One of the rolls that I ordered was an eel roll, and I could not continue to eat the roll in peace, for fear I would be living on the toilet for the next few days. Their sashimi didn’t taste fresh as well. I can’t judge the hibachi since I didn’t order it, so this is purely based on their sushi. The service was okay, nothing too memorable.

Out of all of the central Florida locations, this one is my favorite. I live in Downtown Orlando, but I travel all the way down to this one just because I love this location so much. It’s much bigger much cleaner/nicer than the rest of them. Patrick, the manager is absolutely amazing. Whenever I’m there he greets every guest at the door and periodically checks in on your meal to make sure you’re having the best experience possible. The food, drinks and employees have always been above and beyond amazing and they keep me coming back. If you haven’t visited this Kobe or any Kobe for that matter, check this one out first!

We had the sashimi deluxe and spider roll. Side of fried rice was uneatable. One of the worst sushi and sashimi quality I’ve ever had! It was hard to communicate with the server, so we had to just eat what we thought was safe to eat. So disappointed since we’ve had better experiences in this franchise!

It was a decent sized meal and tasted fine just nothing to rave about. Tourist prices which is totally understandable.

Both traditional and Hibachi Grill sides are outstanding in quality. The food is delicious and plentiful, cups are always full. They even offer assistance for people with gluten sensitivity, using Gluten-free soy sauce during cooking meals. Would definitely be going back next time we are in Orlando.

This place is awesome!!! The chef was very professional! The food was delicious. We couldn’t eat it all so we took some home. Too much food, but definitely worth it! Our future«to go» place in O-town! Only one complaint! We called 4 hours before to reserve, only to show up and wait another 30 min before being seated. What was the purpose of reserving?

So I am indifferent with rating this restaurant because there were some really great things and some really bad things. I rate the food a 5, but the service with a 1. My wife rated her food a 2 and the service as a 1. We met up with some old friends to try a new restaurant in Orlando and we settled on Kobe. The parking was insane on a Saturday night, but everywhere in Orlando is like that. We arrived first to get a table early and our friends were about 10 minutes away. The horrendous service started when we walked in the door. To the right of the door was the hostess station with a sign that said«please wait for Hostess to seat you». There were w female workers behind the station talking to another male worker leaning on the station. My wife and I walked up to the counter, but were simply ignored. I walked my wife right in front of the sign and we were ignored. We walked past the fish pond and into another dining room because we were confused. Another worker looked at us being lost and chose to stare for a minute without saying anything and walked right by. We went back to the hostess station and by the time, these worker left. The 2 female workers were still clearly ignoring us. My pregnant wife was getting irritated at this point. I attempted to get their attention about 3x, but they engaged their forcefield and continued to ignore me. Finally after 10 minutes, one of the hostesses looked at me as if I was doing something wrong. I simply said table please. She didn’t ask how many were in our party when she picked up 2 menus. I told her 4 when she stepped off to seat us. She had an annoying look when she gathered the other 2 menus. We were seated in front of a glass window to the lobby where everyone coming and going stared at us. Our booth was falling apart with the back portion rocking back and forth and the trim falling off under the table. Our friends arrived and we ordered drinks and food. I think there may have been a language barrier because our friend asked if something was good and the waitress said no. He said«this is not good?» She responded with that is not good. He said the option was not good or everything was not good in general. She said everything in general. He cancelled that dish and ordered the lettuce wraps. The waitress seemed extremely annoyed because we couldn’t figure out what we wanted right away and she started clicking her pen at a rapid rate. I ordered the Alaskan roll and the spicy tuna roll. My wife ordered teriyaki chicken. The spicy tuna roll was amazing!!! The Alaskan roll was good, but not amazing. My wife said her food was bland and she did not enjoy it. The waitres apparently misunderstood my friend and she brought out both plates for him. The«not so great» dish and the lettuce wraps. I was able to try the gigantic chicken lettuce wraps and they were some of the best I have had. They are a bit messy, but worth it! I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll and the lettuce wraps. No spice, but intense flavor! Our bill for the 2 sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, and a coke was about $ 32. :)

Some of the best hibachi I’ve ever had. Prices are reasonable and fair, the show was good and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Great service, great food and great price. I’ve been to both locations near Disney and they are both great! Definitely will be back next time I visit Orlando. Beats Benihana any day!

I’m a little biased in the sense of. I feel like all hibachi places are the same. I know, its terrible of me to stereotype them all together but Kobe was a nice change of pace. Located in an extremely busy area of Orlando(literally next to Downtown Disney) Kobe doesn’t fail to bring peace and tranquility as soon as you enter. I like it much better than Benihana or Samurai already because the entrance /waiting area was a nice open concept area with two large Koi ponds on either side(boyfriend spotted an interesting white koi with fluffy dark gray eyebrows that move in the water haha — spot it!), the hostesses on one end and a bar across from you. So if there is a decent wait for a table, I don’t feel as though you would feel extremely crowded and packed as you would in Samurai/Beni. My boyfriend is extremely thoughtful and requested to have my dinner prepared Gluten Free. They gave me options on how I could eat the Hibachi dinner and brought out a specific Gluten Free soy sauce that they would cook with. This made me feel special and important that they take into consideration these food allergy sensitivities! I always get the Chicken + Shrimp, thats always my hibachi go-to and this place was much better than the conglomerate hibachi places. I loved the amount of veggies the chef gave. I’m not use to the lo mein that they include with the hibachi dinner — thats a new thing for me. Overall, I definitely see why this is one of my boyfriend’s top restaurants. Service is extremely on par. Never have I had a waitress/server come up to us in the middle of the hibachi dinner to ask if our dinner was going smoothly. Usually I see the servers in the very beginning to take the drink and food order and thats it. Next time I see them is when I get the check. A+ in my book!

This place is so darn good! This is my wife and daughters favorite Japanese restaurant. The food is always really fresh, the salad is excellent as is their soup, In addition to rice you get noodles and they are just yummy! If you’re looking for a good time and good food, give Kobe a try.

If you’re looking for great food, fun and camaraderie then this is the place! I’ve been to many teppanyaki grills but so far this was the best. Food quality & quantity, pricing, entertainment and great service makes for a great meal. I used Open Table and was seated immediately… no wait at all. It seemed like half the customers were celebrating some sort of occasion as an entourage of employees continually parade out banging a drum and singing with a cupcake in hand. BTW, sign up for their e-club and you can receive a free dinner on your birthday. The food was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed soup, salad, noodles, rice, potatoes, veggies, shrimp and filet. Yes…3 starches! It was a lot of food and I enjoyed it a second time the next day. The entertainment is always fun as the cook does his funny routine w/the onion, eggs, shrimp etc. It made the night more interesting when he was doing his thing w/the shrimp tails and oops… tails ended up on the customers. Then the server dropped a plate and there were shards from the plates all over the table. So what’s wrong with a little tail and porcelain pieces all over your table? It makes it more fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here again.

I’ve been coming here for some year now & I never experienced any problems. The food is always great, friendly staff members, efficient servers, & they have an awesome rewards program. You can sign up for the rewards program for free & receive special offers. Kobe will give you a $ 30 dinner certificate during your birthday month to use for one time on any entrée. This is want my last visit was about: To use my birthday certificate. I made a reservation via OpenTable for Kobe. I checked in for my reservation just fine. The lobby is very quiet with a beautiful display of cute things like pond of huge koi, decorations, & a bar before the meal. I always order hibachi(Where the chef cooks in front of you). You can choose to have a quiet regular meal in the dining room without watching the chef cook your meal. As a heads up, during hibachi dinner, you will sit with other people in different parties. I believe each dining table area seats 10 people. The menu is very decent with large varieties to choose from. My favorite is: Shrimp, steak, & chicken entrée. An entrée is served with a small salad with ginger dressing, consume soup, fried rice, vegetables, noodles, potatoes, & mushrooms. The meal will definitely fill you up! I always have to take some food home due to the large portions. I would highly suggest Kobe Japanese if you love Japanese food, don’t mind a loud noise environment or mind sitting with strangers at a dinner table, can patient for your food to be cooked in a particular order, & willing to be entertained by the chef. The chefs will keep you laughing & entertained while they cook your meal. Come out for a great dinner sometime!
