I haven’t been to too many Korean restaurants while visiting Orlando but coming from SoCal this place is pretty damn good! The service was great and so was the food :) They even allowed me to substitute seafood for the pork in the spicy tofu soup. This is also a great place to get away from the ghetto feeling that OBT brings. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone **UPDATE** June 112016 Went to revisit this location after reopening and it’s awesome! Increase in servers and the food is the best Korean food in Orlando

We love this place! Everyone should try Galbitung, it’s so tasty! Waiter and waitress are always nice. Although some tables near window smell weird. A must go if you are looking for Korean food.

The worst experience I ever had in my life at Korean BBQ. The pork smelled so bad that you know that they use the worst quality. The side dishes went bad like they made them thousands of days ago. The interior is like 1970s Korean restaurants, literally there is nothing worth to eat there. My family wanted to kill me for bringing them to this restaurant. I don’t understand why Unilocal is giving them so many stars. It is very awful.

Korea dishes were pretty good. The surrounding was not represent touristic area, but is was only 15 miles from Disney and 5 miles from universal studio.

If you come to Go Hyang Gip, don’t rely too much on the wordpapers to tell you what kind of food is coming to the table. Getting a really good meal is, sadly, a matter of denial and error. I don’t have enough people words to make it understand you the way it understands me, and the same goes for menu items; that is to say, there’s a bit of menu eccentricity when it comes to ordering at most Korean restaurants. Today’s mul naenmyung might resemble tomorrow’s gork nyansun. I’m willing to burn the hatchet at both ends. I had the kimchi pancake and it passed the Randolph Test with flyin’ fuckin’ carpets. I didn’t have the table barbecue but damn, those flames were golfing and I imagine that would lend crendulence to any meal. Get two birds stones at once and get a bibimbap, which I have found to be hit and miss depending on who’s working that day. If you’re getting meat, it’s gonna be expensive. The atmosphere is pleasant. I mean, it’s not quite the place you want to give your girl a cubic zarcarbian, but beauty is in the eye of when you hold her. One problem I had, though, was that a van full of elderly folk saw me changing my pants in the parking lot. All in all, where there’s smoke there’s wires.

WORST service EVER! I went here with my parents and in laws after visiting Disney, since we recently moved to Florida. After reading reviews from Unilocal,I thought it was somewhat promising but it wasn’t. #Food — we ordered BBQ and kalbitang. they asked to pay for lettuce separately when we are ordering bbq… nonsense…I am from New York and this never happens. it’s just wrong to charge extra money for something that is included in our food culture. whoever said this is authentic korean place… must not been to korea or other korean restaurants… their side dishes are average/below average. food quality was not good either. #service — I know that most of korean restaurants, they are notorious for bad service but this place was something. We called for water/extra side dishes over 3 times and ignored big time. again, this doesn’t happen in korea/new york/or in LA.(for the ppl keep saying they been to different korean restaurants). Summary Pitiful service Average/below average food quality DONOTRECOMMEND your time or money or your palate for this place

Pork bulgogi was absolutely delicious. Tender and flavorful. The traditional sides and service was good, as well. I grew up in Florida but live out west now where there are tons of Korean options and this is hands-down the best Korean food I’ve had in Florida. I’d say the pork bulgogi can go up against some of the spots I’ve been to in LA.

I really enjoyed the spicy pork, grilled short ribs, and bi bim bop but didn’t like their doenjang jjigae which was seafood rather than beef-based. They had a few strange ban chan items(e.g., tomatoes, macaroni salad) but most were fresh and nicely seasoned. They have electric BBQ tables if you want to cook your own meats. I wish they also had ventilation hoods to prevent the restaurant from getting too smokey when people use them. Overall, it is a solid Korean restaurant worth trying with a decent selection of dishes.

This place gets a lot of people at least when we went there for dinner. The place is quite traditional korean restaurant. Not modernly decorated. The folks were hospitable and entertained us right away. The price on their menu are quite higher when compared to other nearby good korean restaurants so we were a bit skeptical about the goodness of the place and their food if it will match up with the prices. We ordered pork short ribs, beef brisket, veggie dumplings and seafood pancake. Note that we have to order at least two korean bbq to be able to use the table grill. Overall the short ribs were really good. The rest were good as well but not much on the sides. I think their style of sides were just not made for my taste buds. One other thing, the lettuce leaves are not part of the while bbq set. It needs to be ordered separately. To sum it up, the place is good, the food is good but no dessert that comes with the bbq set like the other place we have tried. Prices are a bit steep when compared others nearby thus i give them 4 stars. Go and try them out.

This joint may be more isolated than Shin Jung, but you won’t regret it. All kinds of foods can be found here, the ban chan is acceptable, and the service is extra great. Take it from a Korean :) Extra bonus: they always play KPop from YouTube and the music videos are extra entertaining

This place was recommended by Koreans on Unilocal so my wife and I decided to drive from our hotel to try this place out. The place is decently sized and the parking ample. It is in the middle of suburbia Orlando. My wife and I had dinner here. She had the kimchee jigae and I had the crab soup dish. The banchan was of poor quality. The most shocking was that the kimchee tasted like it had been sitting around in room temperature for a day or two since it had a warm and extra sour taste but not in a good way. My wife and I were not impressed by the quality of the dishes we had. Although spicy, Korean food is not just about being spicy. Not the same quality as Korean food you would get in K-town in LA, 32nd street in Manhattan, or almost anywhere in South Korea. Maybe this restaurant doesn’t specialize in jigae or seafood dishes, but when my wife and I order authentic Korean food of high quality, we expect it. Should have saved our time and travel and instead eaten on International Drive.

Honestly one of the best Korean food I’ve tasted for a while. I’ve personally known chef Soobong Oh since year 2001 when I met him in San Diego. He’s been in Korean restaurant business for over 20 years. He had been working as head chef in various major authentic Korean restaurant and Korean bbq including Park de gam: coordinated grand opening 2003 to 2005, well known establishment in k town Los Angeles Moodepo: grand opening Fullerton Orange County Byul depo: major Korean bbq in Los Angeles Currently the establishment is a well known word to mouth local restaurant visited locals and travelers including Korean pga players such as Kj choi, Seungyul Noh, Kevin na, Lydia ko, John huh, and famous Korean celebrity including Cha Inpyo and Shin Aera while they were visiting Disney world. As a dentist currently residing in Dallas, Texas I guarantee the authenticity and the quality of the food. Definitely dentist recommended^^

Having had much Korean food in Atlanta, this place was the perfect non-Colonial Drive place to satisfy a Korean food craving in Orlando. I got the seafood tofu soup, and they definitely did not skimp on any of the seafood that included a bounty of clams and octopus. My friend who grew up eating super fresh seafood said that the clams were some of the most flavorful he’s had before. The soup came out literally bubbling hot with soft tofu and mild broth with a bowl of rice. I wish I had asked to see if they had the rice in a cast iron bowl that continues to cook the rice(future visit), but this was automatically given with a normal metal bowl. Service was extremely prompt, polite, and very accommodating, though it was strangely empty for a normal lunch hour. Definitely planning on returning to try out the Korean BBQ. First tip, weekday lunch price deals are about $ 2 – 4 less. My tofu soup is originally $ 12, but paid $ 10. Second tip, if you run out of a side dish don’t be too shy to ask for a refill of certain kinds, they’ll be more than happy to replenish it!

We had been looking for a good Korean restaurant while in Orlando for a family vacation. We found a couple, but ended up going to this restaurant several times throughout the week. Yes, it was that good! My wife had the Galbi Tang, our oldest son had the Mackerel, our youngest had the«rice and soup»(which seemed just a kid-sized version of Galbi tang), and I had the Pork Bulgolgi. The food was prepared really well, with all of the various kim chi and side dishes you would expect at any good Korean restaurant. All dishes came out hot, still bubbling and boiling in their pots. My spicy pork dish had a generous amount of sauce on it and it was cooked well… It was not too dry(a common issue I have had at other restaurants), and a good deal of the hot pepper paste. The Galbi tang had several good-sized pieces of Galbi, which was awesome. Service was very prompt and responsive. They kept checking on us to make sure we had plenty of water and refilled a couple of the side dishes that our family had wiped out. Could not have been more pleased. As I said, we went several times over the course of a one-week vacation. We will definitely be back next time we come to Orlando!

Maybe it’s because it was been so long since I’ve had Korean BBQ, but this place was awesome! We ordered a veggie soondubu(silken tofu stew), two orders of marinated ribs(required 2 days notice but ask, they might have some already marinated!), two orders of samgyupsal(pork belly), japchae(sweet potato noodles with beef and veggies), and dolsot bibimbap(mixed rice with veggies in a sizzling stone bowl). Minus the soondubu, I got to try everything but the star was definitely the samgyupsal. I HAVE to order it if I’m at a KBBQ joint and they know how to do it. Yeah, you cook it yourself on their grill but they are thick cut slabs of pork belly that have been scored so it cooks quickly and evenly. They gave us about 8 side dishes(or banchan), all of which are pretty standard but tasty nonetheless. I did find it weird that they did not bring out lettuce for the pork. Apparently you can order it for extra but our waitress brought some out for us anyway. It was definitely the perk of being Korean that got us some extra attention and freebies. Do I feel bad? A little but not enough to feel guilty about it: P It’s been two days and on my trip here, I’ve had many delicious meals but that pork belly still makes me drool. Wrap up a piece of juicy and crispy pork in a lettuce leaf and sesame lead, add some garlic, bean paste, kimchi, and pop it in your mouth! Keep in mind you need a minimum of two orders to grill at your table and at $ 20−30/order, depending on which meat, it can get a little pricey but it’s totally worth it. Go check it out! And bring a Korean friend with you if you can!

Went with my family for a Saturday dinner while visiting Orlando. We ordered three dishes: seafood tofu soup, yookgaejang(spicy beef stee), and belt fish jorim. Before receiving our main dishes, they gave us 10 different types of banchans that were decent in flavor. Not too salty and the kimchi was really great. My favorite was the seafood tofu soup. Having been to a lot of different restaurants that specialize in soondooboo(soft tofu), this one was an interesting change of flavor. Tofu wasn’t as soft as expected but the soup had a nice«natural» taste(not artificial full of MSG). The belt fish jorim was aright. I thought it would be spicier but was more on the sweet side. However, the vegetables served with the fish went well with the taste of the sauce. Finally, the beef stew was decent as well. Again, not too salty or spicy. However, the soup didn’t have a «deep» or thick beef taste which yookgaejangs usually have. Maybe they didn’t cook it long enough. Overall, good place for Korean food. The portions are pretty big(tofu soups are usually smaller in other Korean restaurants) and I really liked how the dishes tasted natural without artificial flavors.
