Denny’s

Full disclosure. I have to admit that I am not a breakfast person. I’ve been to diners. I’ve been to IHOP and I just currently decided to see what Denny’s was about. I told my wife that all breakfast franchises are all the same. And I was wrong. During our recent vacation to Florida and the many different places we visited to eat, I must say, Denny’s was the worst breakfast place I’ve ever eaten. The male waiter that I had was decent but he did not know the difference between a scrambled egg white and a fried egg white. But the worst of it all was the food was just down right unpleasant to eat. But I did enjoy my piece of ham. I stand corrected, not all breakfast franchises are the same. I will not be so hesitant to go to IHOP again.

On Superbowl Sunday, a family brunch on a family vacation is a very important event. Although a devout Broncos fan, even I was flabbergasted by the amount of love and appreciation shoved in our faces at this Denny’s.
And this was only the beginning.
Walking in, we noticed that there were many empty booths, yet the hostess still made us wait for over fifteen minutes until we were finally seated at a table. After ordering drinks, our server seemed to have disappeared for nearly half an hour. He kept rambling on about his love for the Bronco’s and I politely smiled and kept attempting to order.
For another half an hour, my kids and I waited. And waited. And waited. The food was taking forever, for a Denny’s that wasn’t even that busy.
When the meal had finally arrived, it wasn’t even warm! Additionally, they forgot my daughter’s meal completely and one of my son’s sides. Our server seemed to have disappeared yet again so we had to wait to retrieve the missing items.
The food was what you would expect. It was okay. The grits were a bit too slushy for my taste and the pancakes weren’t fluffy enough. The bacon was burnt to nearly a crisp and the hash browns were fried together. It was not an enjoyable meal.
I would expect this from a fast food place, but a diner?
As we were leaving, I realized I had left my car keys in the restaurant. My daughter went inside to retrieve and the server had it, giving it to her.
No thanks, Denny’s, I’ll stick to IHOP.

Denny’s is Denny’s, y’all. You come for the consistency, the Slams, and the endless pancakes, and ignore the fact that everything is pre-​fab/​generic, because gosh-​darn it, you’ve been on this hotel-​resort-​prison hellhole for 4 solid days and you’ll do unspeakable things for a meal under $ 27 563 plus a 25% service charge.
This location is huge and quieter than most, although you can expect to be accosted at the host station by a dude with a clipboard selling… something tourist-​y? I didn’t engage him.
The service was very pleasant. Coffee was plentiful (bonus points). The food was typical Denny’s fare: bland yet overly sweetened/​salted. I had pancakes, egg whites, fruit, and chicken sausage for around $ 10. It did the job. And of course I’m going back, because Denny’s.

As every Denny’s all over this country — it’s a cheap, conventional diner. Yes, it is on the budget, but do not expect any great service or anything of the sort. Came around 3 am after an exhausting trip to the parks and some late night napping. Dinner was fast, we were the only ones there. Server was a little short and kept checking on us even after we told him that we are fine for the night.
I ordered french toast and the man ordered eggs and bacon with hash browns. French toast came out of a box and was thrown on the grill to warm up. Eggs were a much better choice — fresh and cooked well. Hash browns were out of a box. $ 25 for 2 meals and 2 drinks.
Cheap, but mediocre. Stop in if you’re in a hurry, but do not expect incredible things.

Came in the morning of Christmas, sitting for 15min, 2 – 3 waitress walked by but one even look at us or stop by our table. Maybe it’s because we are not white or black. Merry Christmas!

Almost empty restaurant but still waited for a cheeseburger with fries for more than 40 minutes. Was told it was on its way about 15 mins in. Ended up leaving the restaurant.

Great place, my family and I had a great time this weekend and will definitely be returning soon

I walked in. barely anyone there. Told 40 minutes wait for food before anything else was said.

Worst experience ever in a restaurant in the us. The waitress asked my 2 years daughter to shut up, the meal was a nightmare and waitress didn’t want to give us the especial that it’s in their own web page Denny’

Looking for breakfast anytime? Then Denny’s is the spot. This Denny’s is located right on I-​Drive in the shadow of The Orlando Eye. It can be a little tricky to find, so keep a close eye out. It’s near Hooters.

Never been to Denny’s? Well, it’s cheap food for a dollar more than cheap prices.

Two big thumbs down, we ate here 4 times. Everytime was disastrous! Avocado was rock hard, I spit every bite of my $ 10 Cali Club out, plus I eat apple crisps all over America at denny’s… Please never make that mistake here, they microwave it! Disgusting mushy, oatmeal or grits. So gross. Anyway the manager never offered us any new crisp? Horrible experience. Next door all day is $ 5 happy hour and omg the food is good.

Very poor service. The very first thing that the waitress told us was that there was going to be a wait so don’t complain (not even a ‘please’ don’t complain) She was very distasteful of her occupation and was rude on several occasions to several other people. Just because you tell me to not complain does not give you right to be disrespectful. I will not be coming back to this Dennys. I wish I could give 0 stars because it doesn’t deserve one.

We were quickly greeted and seated. Our server was gracious, she didn’t even write down our order (which may be why my omelet still included mushrooms). However, the staff was very pleasant. Our breakfast was worth the visit and the price.

As a Denny’s goes this was a fast experience — what we were looking for.
— Ask for Mike. Performed extremely well and, from entering the door to leaving, took 25 minutes.
— Food was beautiful and the way expected … fit slam and whole grain pancakes with pecans and bananas — special order.
*** Traveling an extra 2 miles down the street in traffic is worth it for this place. We had a horrible experience at the other one (in my reviews) and would recommend this breakfast place in the general area.

Normally it’s ok. I mean, it’s Denny’s so it’s never gonna be great or anything but today was especially frustrating. Slow service, fries colder than a Minnesota winter. And despite the empty restaurant we say there for over 20 minutes with our food completely eaten waiting for the check. I mean she just wouldn’t bring us the check or even look at us Finally I had to ask for it. I will not be back. Life’s too short

Today was by far my best experience at a Denny’s. Cynthia was our server and she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied. We were waiting a little long for the host to seat us when Cynthia called us over to sit in her section. She quickly cleaned off a table for us and asked what we’d like to drink. She returned within a minute and took our food order. While we waited for our food she talked with us about our lives. Cynthia was the nicest, most sincere server I’ve ever had. Ever. She was like this with every table and every guest. I highly recommend you request her as your server when you visit this location. The food was delicious and we left happier than when we arrived!

Exactly what I ordered, hot and quickly served. Waitress was friendly and polite. Overall, a great Denny’s visit.

Went to Denny’s this morning for breakfast on day 2 of vacation and it was pretty good — but definitely had some short comings.
The waitress was very nice, funny, friendly, and attentive — when she eventually came around. They place was not crazy crazy busy or anything, although not completely dead, but it took definitely awhile between each interaction with the server.
First we ordered 3 coffees and a little over 15 minutes later they arrived. Because we waited for awhile after sitting for a waitress to approach the table we knew we’d better put our meal order in with the coffee order. It was at least another 15 min before our appetizer of the ‘strawberry pancake puppies’ arrived. Someone at our table actually said, in honesty, «oh, I totally forgot we ordered these» — the bites were good, more of a dessert than an appetizer, but tasty none-​the-​less.
About 10 min after getting the appetizer one skillet came to the table (we ordered 3) but the waitress realized it wasn’t for us. This was obviously ok but then it was another 15 – 20 before our 3 skillets came to the table (so about 20 min after the appetizer and 45 after the coffees).
The ‘Breakfast Skillets’ themselves were tasty! Hot, sizzling, cheesy and the over-​easy eggs were cooked correctly.
Overall, the staff and food were really good — just the waiting around was alittle much for Denny’s which usually is decently quick. And I applaud the staff for staying friendly since people on vacation can be tough to deal with on a daily basis, I’m sure.

Nice place to get a solid breakfast and a decent price.
Service — We had the complete opposite experience of many of the reviewers. Upon entering we were immediately acknowledged, greeted and seated. All the staff seemed extremely friendly. Our waitress was new but she was energetic and got our order spot on.
Food — The food is what one should expect at a breakfast chain restaurant. Nothing fantastic but decent for the price. It is no fault of this specific location but a problem for Denny’s as a franchise. Little improvements like real maple syrup (instead of fake corn syrup based knock-​off) or real cheese options (instead of just processed American cheese) would go a long way.
All in all the place seem clean, the staff was friendly/​attentive and the food was decent.

Aites, so I decided to let em haf a 2^nd try at service.
I made a bit of noise coming thru the doors so they would know I entered.
Tday, I ordered the bacon avocado burrito, and the $ 2 dish of biscuit n gravy wit hash browns. Yah, ima oay the orice later 4 this sodium load. But I can handle it :)
Food taste: overall, usual denny’s quality

Dennys ist super, wer in den Staaten unterwegs ist kommt an Dennys kaum vorbei, weil es begegnet einem immer und überall.Hier kann man gut und günstig essen und die Bedienungen sind sehr, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und lassen einen spüren, daß man ein gern gesehener Gast ist (man fühlt sich wohl).
Tip.:Den besten Bananasplit (megaportion-​megakalorien) bekommt man bei Dennys, auch die berühmte Key Lime Pie (Limettentorte) ist dort echt lecker.

Dennys ist eine Mischung aus Fast Food Kette und Diner.
Vor allem das Frühstück ist grandios!
Es gibt alles was das Herz begehrt, alle Variationen von Eiern, Kartoffeln, Schinken, Speck, Pfannkuchen, Toasts usw
Dazu Kaffee ohne Ende!
Sehr lecker, und soo sättigend, man hat bis abends keinen Hunger mehr! Praktisch wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist.
Dennys hat rund um die Uhr geöffnet und auch abends ist es einen Besuch wert. Die Burger sind ok, die Sandwiches auch lecker, aber wirklich der Hammer sind die Nachspeisen!
Ich hatte amerikanischen Cheesecake Brownie Style. Hmmm mit dicken Browniestücken und Sahne und Schokosauce!
Super lecker, allerdings verlangt 1 Dessert und 2 Gabeln! Unmöglich das allein zu essen! Aber soooo lecker!
