Coast Dental – Waters Edge

They never called my insurance company. Coast Dental Billing Specialist onsite told me my insurance company was a discount card and not real insurance. They Jacked up a bill before services rendered, cashed my check and set me up for financing. I called my insurance company later the next day and verified it was an HMO and then called my bank, cancelled the check and the loan. Thank god they told me to go home because my blood pressure had risen. he next week I went to a nice dentist and my insurance paid ¹⁸⁰⁰⁄₂₅₀₀. of my work to be done, I got two crowns and made an appt. for my cleaning. I love my insurance company now. They are committing fraud and trying to get paid from you and not insurance. Stay away!

Its a scam. They get you in take up half of your day only to force you to accept and pay for their cleaning/​procedure. I went in for a regular cleaning they wanted to charge me for a deep clean and refused to perform what was asked. What makes more sense having the issue mitigated with a general cleaning until the patient can afford to spend the $ 800+ for your suggested cleaning.
Zero sympathy from the dentist Ms. Elena Oliver. Who according to her own website has a VERY par background with a BA in Nutritional Science at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and her dental degree at the University’s College of Dentistry. I guess you get what you pay for, and should have realized that when I had to help articulate her directives to me lol. She sat with me for a few minutes to go over the charts which were rushed and seemed very rehearsed by the other staff. It was no wonder this facility was empty.
I feel compelled to write about my experience because others should have fair warning on what to expect when dealing with a BUSINESS like this. I’m 10 000% sure you can find a dental hygienist who actually cares enough to sit and speak with you not just smile and let the staged propagandizing proceed.
Do your research, go elsewhere you shouldn’t need convincing to go to a dentist.
