I don’t know why all the hate? When I went, it was pretty good. I had the chicken and waffles, which had a delicious sauce on it. It was very good actually and not badly priced for how filling the meal was. I may have gotten a nice fresh batch. Also, the tater tots were awesome. Just not the healthiest but it’s fine since you’re walking around all day!

I came all the way to Springfield just for my chicken and waffle sandwich! The actual waffle is just some sub par pre frozen waffle, but the chicken is wonderful and very crispy. You can get it with lettuce and tomato(which I dislike). They top it all off with their own creation of maple mayo. YESSSSS maple mayo! It sounds insane in a bad way, but is actually insane in the best way possible. It comes with tater tots which are great. I got an extra side of maple mayo to dip them in as well. The atmosphere is nice as well. It looks like you’re actually dining in the cartoon yourself.

Chicken and Waffles… What a strange combo. Tried it for the very first time at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The food combination actually works– but it’s too bad the waffle was so dry it felt like it was cutting my mouth. Chicken was really good though. They smothered the chicken with a sweet gravy/maple mayonnaise and put it in between two waffles. Interesting to say the least. I might give chicken and waffles another go.

Huge fan of chicken and waffles. Not too crowded and the line moved quickly. I don’t have high expectations for mass produced theme park food, but the chicken was tender and the maple mayo complemented the chicken. The lettuce and tomato was crisp. If you really feel like splurging, wash it down with a «Flaming Moe».

Poor Cletus. The guy just cant catch a break. Losing to a chicken in tic tac toe. He must have cooked that chicken and wait a second. I have to be honest and say I was disappointed in the chicken shack. It didnt live up to my past experiences with chicken at Universal in Hollywood. There once was a magical place run by Doc Brown in Hollywood and it was superb. Unfortunately that place is gone now there but ill always have the memories… I need a minute but probably pass on Cletus and his Shack

I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my daughter had the chicken and waffle sandwich. I was really surprised to try her sandwich and love it! Maple Mayo doesn’t exactly SOUND great but give it a try. My grilled chicken sandwich was good as well. The only problems were the seating and the price. Very expensive for what you get(although you get plenty) and if you get a seat near a window it is way too hot to enjoy your meal and it gets quite crowded. We ended up having to move to another seating area but once we did it was just fine. Several Simpsons themed eateries are in the same building so you can pick burgers, fish, and other things from the other options(mall — food court style) if people in your party are not in the mood for chicken. It’s worth doing once. The décor is really fun and there are Simpsons clips playing while you eat.

The chicken and waffle sandwich is to die for! When ordering, they will ask you if you want the maple mayo on the sandwich or on the side. Ask for both… it’s that good!
