I’m shocked to see so many poor reviews for Breadbox. It’s absolutely one of my «have to go» spots when I visit Universal Orlando. The food is delicious and in the half a dozen visits or so I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service. The roast beef and patty melts are my go to sandwiches!

10 people behind the counter working and barely getting one sandwich out every 5 minutes. This place will be closed in a few months max…

A quick place for a sandwich or snack while visiting city walk. Decently priced, but nothing special. I wouldn’t go out of the way for it, but if your in the area and want a sandwich this place will do the job.

Was in Orlando for a few days to get away from the cold in the Northeast. I wanted a no frills, quick bite before heading back to the hotel and stumbled upon Breadbox while roaming Citywalk. Ordered the Italian and it was so good that I went back the next day to eat it again. You get the sandwich and french fries for around $ 10 which isn’t that bad for Citywalk standards. Already miss this damn sandwich…

Thank you Bread Box for your accommodations!!! As a gluten free vegan, I knew it was going to be hard for me to find anything to eat. I asked a few stands in the park about if they had any gluten free and vegan selections. EVERY staff member was clueless. I had just about given up when I peeked down a corner of City Walk and saw the Breadbox At first I was skeptical about what they could do for me. I saw they had a veggie sandwich and figured without getting the cheese and pesto that came on it, it would be totally gross. I asked if they had gluten free bread and the chef said yes. Okay okay not too bad now. Then I asked the difficult question. Could you make the veggie sandwich yummy for a vegan? The chef said absolutely so I said I’ll take your word for it! As I waswaiting the chef came to my table and showed me the ingredients of everything he would put on the sammy! He even made sure to fry my fries in a separate cooker! The entire staff went above and beyond for my special dietary needs. Thank you! Thank you Breadbox!!!

I paid a total of 9.25 for a disgusting greasy grilled cheese melt sandwich. I ordered the 3 cheese melt and had a choice of bacon OR tomatoe and grilled onions. They charge extra for bacon and tomatoe, you can’t have both. The onions were nasty on the sandwich, very bitter like I was eating gasoline, left a bad after taste in my mouth. The sandwich was tiny and just too greasy, my 5 year old nephew can make a better grilled cheese sandwich for free. Should have listened to my husband, we walked in and it was totally empty meaning I shouldn’t eat here. Don’t waste your money here, I forced myself to eat this S**t since I paid 9.25…the worst meal I’ve ever tasted.

Came in because it’s a relatively new place and we wanted a quick lunch, and we were surprised at how amazingly good the food was! Had a sandwich that was cooked perfectly, chicken soup that tasted homemade and a sweet tea that was delicious. The place itself has really nice decoration, and the person attending us was extremely nice and fun. Definitely coming back next time we’re around!

Got the cold turkey and it was pretty good. This place gets 2 stars because they automatically charge for the more expensive soda without asking. That’s shady.

I was in Orlando for a three day trip, and this place was the staple food that got me through my trip. Please note before continuing to read, I am a vegetarian, and this was practically the only establishment that offered multiple options for someone who was not interested in eating meat or pizza. In the three times I are here I had the potato salad, the cream of tomato soup, the tomato and mozzarella hot sandwich, and the veggie hot sandwich(there was also a cold egg salad sandwich that was available without bacon that I didn’t try). Overall the price was less than I expected considering this is theme park food pricing. Sandwiches were mostly $ 7.99 and were served a la carte. However? They were extremely tasty and fresh. The veggie sandwich was a handful thanks to all the fresh veggies, but the flavor was rich. I also would highly recommend the tomato and mozzarella if you are less hungry as it’s a bit smaller than the other sandwiches. Also, the tomato soup is ridiculously tasty. I certainly hope this place continues to be awesome. The staff was great, and very helpful. Highly suggested.

Where to start… I’ve anticipated for this to open since they first announced it was coming to Citywalk. The area needed a new establishment with a different variety of items compared to the traditional fast casual establishments at Citywalk. To start, this location is directly across from the main food court where Moe’s, Burger King, and Panda Express are located. Traditionally those 3 locations give close to the same dollar value to quality experience as their outside counterparts do. In other words, I get what I expect for the price I expected. That’s where Bread Box varies from the norm for this area… and not in a good way. You walk in to the location, and they have several hot and cold sandwich options for what I would consider a reasonable price for a sandwich with a side. But when you order, you realize that’s not the case. Your side item is a separate item. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with potato chips and a iced tea…$ 13 before annual pass discount. That’s rather steep for a sandwich and chips even by Universals standards. I waited close to 10 minutes before the manager approached to ask if everything was okay… except I still hasn’t received my food. They weren’t incredibly busy, so there really was no excuse. He apologized and went to get my meal. He brought back the sandwich sans chips. He offered a cookie or brownie as a means of guest recovery which was appreciated but I was wanting the«meat» of my meal. With the long delay, I was expecting a nice fresh fried chicken sandwich, but I got a mediocrely warm chicken that looked like it had been sitting around a while. The breeding on the chicken was barely sticking to the chicken and didn’t seem to be spiced adequately. The chips were greasy, limp, and lacked flavor(aka no seasoning). I think I found 6 specks of salt between all of the chips. For the price, the quality expectation was not met. I would probably give them one more shot, however I feel they won’t be here long enough for me to give them that second chance. Hopefully I’m wrong, but as I sat at the window watching people pass by, they looked at the menu and kept walking.

If we could give half stars this place would be more of a 3 ½ than a 3 in my eyes. We stopped in for a quick lunch after spending the morning at Universal. There weren’t many people inside but the décor is really cute and retro feeling. They have really cute bench swing booths that were a unique touch. I was with my wife and sister in law and between the three of us we tried the brisket sandwich, Italian sandwich and fried chicken sandwich. They were all good sandwiches… Not great, but a solid good. At the counter, they told us that the fried chicken sandwich would take a little longer than the others(no more than 11 minutes). After we sat down for about 5 minutes and we already had the rest of our order, the manager came to the table and told us it would be another 10 minutes. The sandwich was really fresh, but I still cannot understand why it would take so long to fry a small piece of chicken. The chips were delicious… Crispy and homemade! They also have some wonderful looking milkshakes, but we were too full to try them. All in all, this is a nice alternative to the other touristy quick service restaurants like Burger King and Panda Express. Nothing to write home about but pretty solid.
