Applebee’s

I stayed at the hotel 5min away, I felt like eating Applebee’s. I didn’t want to come to this Applebee’s because of the reviews but I tried it away. Star my server was great, she did what ever it took to make my experience great. Thankz star.

Solid choice for a casual dinner. Our server Jessica was friendly and checked on us frequently. The food is good for a casual chain with plenty of unique options and there’s good specials — the 2 for $ 20 deal is awesome for two people, normal serving size plus an appetizer is included. Saturday night wasn’t too crowded, waited 5 mins, and noise was normal with plenty of TVs playing news and sports. Is also right next to Disney springs which is a fun place to walk around and explore shops.

The service at this Applebee’s was terrible! My friends and I went out for a good night and we did not receive the great service we wanted! The food was not very good like usual, and our waitress, Bridgette, was VERY rude! We kept asking her if we could change something about our orders and she would say «No, we’re too busy». Not a very good way to treat your guests.

Not a good experience tonight at Applebee’s on highway 535. Subpar food and service. Our server Bridgette, was very rude. One of the guests in my party asked for an extra sauce, and her response was «no, we are too busy.» She and many of the other Applebee’s crew didn’t seem happy to be at work, there were no smiles.
Tonight we only got appetizers, and the food was much more salty than what I’m used to back at home. It didn’t taste like the ever so delicious midnight appetizers I get back home in Maine.

Hostess inviting, waitress sweet but inexperienced. We ordered buy 1 get 1 beer, a rita, waters, and an app platter. The waitress returned with waters and took the rest of our order french onion soups, a pasta marinara entrée, and nachos as an entrée. We waited and watched as the bartender never made our drinks, our apps came out still no drinks. While eating the app tray, drinks came, soups came, and the entrees came. Joy. Of course the waitress inexperienced as it all shouldn’t have come out at once. When the manager asked how things were I said if the bartender would stop talking to the 2 men and get drinks out and if all our food didn’t come out at the same time probably OK then
Question, who puts cabbage on nachos? And the marina was just diced tomatoes, tragic. We realize it is a chain but with how over staffed for a non busy restaurant things should be better. And to buy the beer, gee thanks.

Nice people but woefully understaffed to support neighbor Holiday Inn «Kids Eat Free». How can breakfast take so long???

Ok this is very bad to me. During my 2 years Disney program i have been here a lot of times, it was one of my best spot in Orlando. Everywhere i go i always happy to go at Applebee’s no matter i am on Dc, Nyc, California. I really love a easygoing casual bar for get a good drink with friends.
I have been back in Orlando in December at the bar. So happy to do. The first time i enjoy it, the girl at the bar was so nice. Always to remember we are at Applebee’s not to An upscale bar.
BUT…
The second night was good. I don’t really care if food arrive not together, if i have to ask 3 times for a beer, i never made a 1 star review before
BUT…
When my friend asked for a check, he gave to the bartender the card, the bartender said the card is not approved. Since we booth are managers and we know how is work we ask to try again. Not approved not means Rejected. He informed us to pay with something else because the card does not work and probably are not money. He did that very loudly, was on closing time and the music was low, everyone at the bar heard it make us fell like a wretched.
We explain him to talk with a manager. The manager was so rude and not polite. He told us to go to the ATM and get cash
We did it. The ATM worked, we got money and we paid. how you can say to go to ATM if you are sure we don’t have money in our card? How can you blame us if you have a problem on your POS ??

You will not feel welcome here ever. Breakfast buffet is very bad.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn which is pretty much the same property as Applebee’s. Ordered an ice cream sunday to go to bring back to the room for my wife. Was handed a plastic bag which I took back to the room. The Sunday was pitiful, barely a half scoop of ice cream, a dribble of chocolate syrup not hot fudge, one swirl of whip cream. The most pitiful sunday ever made and all for $ 3.50. Got zero value for what I paid.

Staying at the hotel attached and had a great experience. Ford was great the triple bacon Berger was the best I have ever had. We used the pool side tiki bar to get our food and the service was awesome. The bartender was nice and extremely helpful. He brought us our food all the way on the other side of the pool and catered to our needs.
One of the best Applebee’s experiences I have had in a long time. It makes me want to come back here every time I visit Florida!

Applebee’s it’s the neighborhood bar and grill. But on Veterans Day they turn into we give you a free meal so at least you don’t feel bad that politicians sent you to war under false pretenses. I commend any business that tries to caters to our service personnel at least one day out it the year. 2 4 1 drinks aren’t that bad either. See you next year for Veterans Day for lunch and dinner.

Meh for sure. We were staying in the hotel that this Applebee’s is attached to so we came in for a quick dinner. The place was moderately busy but the service was pretty slow. When our waiter was there, he was nice but he was MIA for much of the dinner. My mom and I split the classic burger and the Thai shrimp salad. The burger was fine, nothing amazing but solid. The salad was really good. Pretty big and lots of flavor.
Like many chain restaurants in Orlando, you’re bound to find a lot of loud children here but that’s not Applebee’s fault, I suppose. Not a terrible choice if you’re nearby and hungry but nothing worth seeking out.

Staffs response about complaints: Was reconized when the same plate of food I ordered came back to me with hair in it.

Quick Notes: I’m a ex employee of this Applebees. I’ve seen Neal, the GM put his fingers in dipping sauces and send it back to guests, I’ve witnessed several guests leave due to roaches climbing up the wall near there table with food and thier kids. I seen bartenders drop limes on the dirty floor and use them for beverages. The entire hard surface of the restaurant is washed with only one bucket of water without replacing dirty with clean water. Neal, and all of his managers can never agree on how to train people efficiently, the morning servers are the worst people to work with, they whine about everything and non of the food is fresh and is all frozen. I’ve called and have recently requested that the restaurant be inspected, it failed miserably and was sited to fix ongoing issues. I’ve also seen guests get sick from eating the food here. I quit because, the way they treated guests.

The food, and drinks are so cheap. Got amazing specials. 3 appetizers for $ 14 and 2 for 1 drinks. The music sucks though and so does the service. The drinks are strong however and that sort of makes up for the wait. This place was dark, and dead at 5pm. My bill was 20 bucks after 3 apps and 2 Yiengling beers. Good stuff!

Can’t comment on the food as we never made it past the long wait for a table. In the 10 mins we were waiting, two customers came to the hostess stand complaining about their service at the table. Not a good sign.

This is a very good location… The food is good. The service is decent… The waiters are friendly and attentive…
After 10pm they have ½ price appetizers, which is a really good deal… You can have several of the appetizers at a great price.
This is a good place to go if you’re looking for something different to eat…

When we arrive, there is four in our party. Every other table is open. They said it will be a few minutes before they can seat us. They make our party as well as several other parties behind us wait. No other parties leave after several minutes they finally seat us.
After being seated it takes several minutes to be waited on. They are «out of coffee». Found a restaurant that is out of coffee, quite humerus.
We ordered mostly dessert. I ordered an appetizer. The hot and cold food all arrived at the same time. I also ordered a perfect margarita with an extra shot of tequila in it. The drink arrived with the extra shot in an extra glass. I now must become my own mixologist.
I posted a photo of my appetizer. I ordered the pub pretzels and beer cheese. The cheese arrived with a protective skin over it. I am unsure how long it needed to sit for this to form. Also unsure if the skin is to protect me from something in the kitchen, or the cheese from me.
All in all, this is not the service or quality I have come accustomed to from Applebees. This particular store is attached to a Holiday Inn. I’m not sure if there may be an attitude of «they are tourists, and won’t return anyway, so it doesn’t matter.»
After reading other reviews, I have found many of you also having the same experience with this establishment. At some point, I would think Applebees would begin to ask questions.
I will stick with my local restaurant. They are mediocre at best, but they are way better than this place was.

Somehow I recently became the duke and now I feel like I should be generous because who really wants to be the duke of a poorly rated place?!
But in all honesty, this is a two star place. Because I was staying at the Holiday Inn Resport that was connected to it, my friends and I would come here daily for breakfast. The vouchers that we received covered the cost of a breakfast meal. To actually get the best value from the voucher, I would recommend to NOT get the buffet unless you are really crunched on time or want to grab a few fruit for the road. The food is nothing out of the ordinary. And the cost of the buffet is considerably more than the value of the voucher. The highlight was the Mickey Mouse waffle! Unfortunately depending on the day you will get it made fresh or from the bin.
The service was also inconsistent. One day we would get our hot chocolate made with water (no bueno!) and other days we would get it made with milk (Woot!). Sometimes the size of the cups would change too. In the end, we still get charged the same price.
What’s great if you are staying at the hotel you can call over and have lunch or dinner delivered or available for pick up. However, when we did this for pick up, they happened to mess up our order…
Overall, a convenient place if you are staying at the Holiday Inn but I am not sure why anyone would go for any other reason.

Note this is for the breakfast buffet connected to the hotel in the same building, but that is a separate review. That being said, this place stinks (literally).
We walked in and could barely see. Seriously, it was like a dark alley. It was our first clue. Next, the man that «greeted» us, in the words of Chunk from the Goonies, smelled like «phys ed». His smell did mask the smell of the establishment though… After the meal, my wife and I figured out it smelled like a frat house the day after a rush party.
Then there was the food. It wasn’t that it was bad so much as it was cold, dried out, & a bit stale. Regardless, please don’t eat it. It’s frightening.
At least our waitress was nice.

After reading other reviews, I was pretty hesitant about dining here, but we’d left The Magic Kingdom after midnight and neither of us were in the mood for Waffle House, Denny’s, etc. This was one of our only options… so why not? I’m so glad I didn’t completely rely on the reviews because we had a wonderful meal at a very low cost.
The restaurant was very clean with dim lighting and had a very new feel. I’m not sure exactly how long this particular Applebee’s has been here, but if it’s an older one, then it’s been very well taken care of.
After 10pm, the appetizers are ½ price. We decided to share everything, so we ordered the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip and the Mozzarella Sticks from the appetizer menu. We also ordered the Fish & Chips from the dinner menu.
I was shocked when the mozzarella sticks arrived. I counted 9 of them in the basket and they were nicely sized. Usually when I order mozzarella sticks, there are only 4 – 6. I can’t say there was anything special about them… it was just fried cheese… but they were nice and hot and the cheese was perfectly stringy.
The pretzels and beer cheese were also good, but again, nothing special about them. I don’t normally like beer cheese because I can’t stand the taste of beer at all, but this was really good as the beer taste wasn’t overwhelming. I would order this appetizer again.
The shining star were the fish & chips. Wow! The best fish & chips I’ve ever had are the ones at Yorkshire County Fish Shop at Epcot. Well, the fish was right on pare with the fish from Epcot. There were 3 pieces of fish served and I only «allowed» hubby to have one piece. LOL I should have said the fish was the shining star. The fries were just fries; although, they were better when dipped in the beer cheese. I will absolutely be back to Applebee’s to order the fish & chips again! I only hope they are as good at our Applebee’s in Jacksonville.
Because of the ½ off appetizers, our check was just a little over $ 20 bucks. Not bad for two adults (and we had food left over… but not the fish! hehe).
Service was excellent. Our waitress was on top of everything. Hubby had about 5 refills on his Pepsi (Yay… Pepsi products are served here) and our waitress noticed every time and was there with a refill right before he was finished with the one he had in front of him. She also brought him a Pepsi togo without him having to ask for it. She was friendly and smiling. It’s always nice to have smiling servers!
Hubby and I go to the Disney Parks A LOT and we often stay very late until the Parks close. This will definitely be a restaurant we return to in the future when we need dinner late at night!
