The barista Samantha makes the BEST white chocolate mochas! It’s always a pleasure to come here!

Peet’s is still my favorite coffee stop, but the one star this time is for my cashier’s attitude when I pointed out that there was a fly all over their pastries. Don’t have funky attitude when you’re selling food contaminated by flies. Fix it.

Still my preferred Peet’s Coffee & Tea location by far. The barista, Evero, makes a fantastic cappuccino, and the shift lead, Emily, runs an efficient shift. I like their promos(e.g. 50% off holiday drinks, B1G1) which makes it a more affordable way to try their new drinks(Black Tie, Salted Caramel Macchiato). Since their remodel, they have a ton of seating, and it seems like it’s always crowded — but that there are always at least a few seats available! I just wish that one day, I will win the drawing to be the customer of the week! :)

I love this Peets! I’m only giving it 4 stars because of the parking situation but that’s not entirely the fault of the staff. It’s on a busy street and it’s so hard to see when you’re pulling out I almost got hit like 3 times. They definitely know how to assign people at this location because the cashiers are always super friendly and talkative and the drinks are always made perfectly. There is one barista who is my favorite and pulls the best espresso shots, I only order my cappuccinos when he’s working. If not I get iced coffee with caramel sauce(tip: use manufacturing cream as your creamer, thank me later). This location has a lot of seating and in the mornings it can get a little crowded. I’ve usually come around 9am and never had to wait longer than 13 minutes total(from getting in line to out the door). Relatively clean and they layout works well. This is the closest Peets to where I work but I will pass 2 different Starbucks’ to get here! Great job, Orinda Peets!

This is my favorite Peet’s in the East bay. It is quieter than the one in Pleasant Hill and the one in Walnut Creek, but still has convenient parking. Customer service is great. As I’m a tea fan, I love the darjeeling, Assam, and oolong offerings. Plus they never seem to run out of the pastries I love. If I could, I’d come here weekend mornings just to read the paper and enjoy the morning.

I have been to Peets so many times for their pastries and coffee. Their beverages and food are pretty good, but their customer service at this particular location is horrible. Think about it. I go to many different Peets and none were as disrespectful as this one. I wanted an early snack, so I went at about 9 – 10 ish in the morning. It was crowded. I brought my kids with me. We had about five people ahead of us. The worker said that the line everyone was standing in was closed and to move to the other line for beverages if you are ordering just beverages. Since my kid wanted some cookies and I something else, we did not move. Then the lady changed her mind and said to move to the other line no matter what. the people behind us had already gone to the other line, so we were basically cut. Then when we finally got up to front, the same lady was so rude. Did not say anything or smile. My kids preferences of cookies were unavailable, so they ordered a different cookie from what they wanted. Then in the back, I saw the cookies they wanted and asked if they were available. The lady replied, «we are still arranging things but if you want these you can have it in place of the cookies you already have». She looked really stressed out, so I wondered if the manager was there so he could change the shifts. But the coffee making guy in the back was happy and everything and would make the perfect cashier. The lady I guess knew how to make coffee, but they never switched. She threw the original cookies out of the bag and replaced them with the right preference. Then she punched it into the cashier. She said«Anything else» and I ordered a nice muffin, which she just threw in the sack and handed to me. I ordered a small coffee and some milk for the kids. Then I paid and everything and she said nothing except for«next customer!» i was pretty disappointed. I found a seat and got my stuff. We ate and the food was pretty good. But my overall experience had dampened my day and I wanted to call the boss and tell him to give the workers proper training for customer service. I did not blame the worker lady at all, she was just merely exhausted. But still.

Nice afternoon sun out front but sitting is limited to only two benches — unfortunately there are no tables outside. They remodeled not too long ago and it’s much nicer. Quite a bit of seating inside. In terms of quality and service: the quality is standard Pete’s which is high and the service varies.

The coffee is great but the wifi is terrible, so what do I do? Starbucks across the street for mediocre coffee and great wireless or Peete’s for great coffee and sit there waiting and waiting for my pages to load? Hmmm

I would give this Peet’s 5 stars but I have experienced rudeness from one of the employees more than once. The first time I was willing to give it a pass but today topped it off. She always acts as if you are bothering her when you approach the line to order something. It is such an imposition for her to get what you want, i.e. a slice of banana bread, and such a bother to take your money. I also asked her to tell me how much was left on my Peet’s card and she acted as if I had asked her to make me a hamburger. I love Peet’s and most of the people working here and most of the other stores are great. If she doesn’t like people, she’s in the wrong job.

I like Peet’s a lot to begin with, no matter where it is, but this location is special and it’s because of the people who work there. The staff are consistently friendly, funny and quite pleasant. I assume working at Peet’s is a somewhat difficult job to begin with, but they make it seem fun. It’s a nice place to go for both a quick drink and to hang out for a bit.

Fast friendly service, the quality is consistent with other Peet’s so you can know what to expect. This branch happens to have two benches outside if you like to sit outside and have your coffee but no outdoor seating. Plenty of tables inside.

The quality of Peet’s coffee is fairly consistent at other locations so this review is about the customer service. The server greeted me very enthusiastically despite the busy and hectic the morning rush. He cheerfully made suggestions and wasn’t persistent or pressuring at all. My drinks were made quickly and tasted consistent to many other Peet’s I have been to. I have been to this Peet’s several times and have received the same quality every time.

I must mention this incident that happened today. There was a guy working the bar, he asked if he could start my drink for me. I said, sure and thank you. He was very pleasant to me. However, I’m not sure what invisible wall went up behind the bar. He was a terroir to the other employees. He talked to them as if they were below him, as if they were there to be at his beck and call. It was frankly sickening. No one should treat people like that! There is a sweet guy with red hair that I see there way more often than this guy. Now he looked as if he was maybe training someone or something. The terroir rudely told him to keep a certain area clean, and listen to this guys! He picked up one of those little silver pitchers and he actually threw it over his shoulder because apparently it wasn’t where it was suppose to be. And he says this, «I’m rockin it here!» And he sends one of the cashier girls to go pick up what he just threw. Absolutely disgusting! He maybe good with the customers, but his attitude that was in clear view of any other customers ruined it. It just made me feel bad for the nice people I see every other day that have to work with that guy. Sorry guys.

I generally love Peet’s Coffee, no matter where I find it, but this Peet’s really is special. I think that the people who work here are the nicest, friendliest and FASTEST coffee specialists I have ever come across. When they see the line start to get long, they really work hard to make sure that line moves quick. This kind of customer service is pretty damn hard to come by and I really appreciate it. The milk containers are always full. The place is always clean. The set-up is super comfortable. This place is 100x more awesome that that«other» coffee place down the street!

I like Peets more than Starbucks. I enjoy the white mochas. They have a stronger coffee flavor compared to Starbucks. I can’t tolerate their freddos though. Too sweet. It’s a milkshake in melted form essentially. Ps– I’ve only tried their sugar cookies, bear claw, regular chocolate chip cookies, and carrot cake. All of them are DELICIOUS!

Probably my favorite Peets location– you’ll find that the store is very spacious and has amble and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve been going to this location for over 6 years, and the music they play is pleasant and non-distracting; it adds to the store’s unique ambiance. The coffee is always brewed fresh and hot; the selection of tea is both diverse and rare(they also give you two bags of tea which I admire). They non password protected wi-fi as of late, which is way better than having to ask for a receipt with passcode inscribed. Lines can be long during some rush hour times during the morning and afternoon, but the staff is insanely friendly and hardworking. Because this Peets location is so amazing, you’ll often find that the store is significantly more crowded than the locations in Walnut Creek, Lafayette, and Berkeley.

Although it’s usually fairly crowded in there you are never in line for very long, while the Starbucks up the street is the total opposite. Good selection of baked goods as well, coffee crumb cake and the pumpkin bread are my two favorites. Sure parking is issue also but it’s work the walk, their cocoa is good too, it’s not too sweet, and the blueberry mocha is definitely worth a try.
